I couldn’t agree more. I also incorporate slow negative reps, so it makes it easier to get to a rep or 2 short of failure during most sets, without having to add tons of weight. I find that when I train close to failure, I get better results. I add more resistance when I can easily do 3 sets of a given exercise , with 10 reps in each set, also incorporating slow negatives.
Great tips on tempos and that 3 set 10 rep method.

Hi Mike, great video, thank you. Would you add the weight after you have maxed out the incline?
I'd say it's either or. Often my incline is at 3/4 or "10" on the FIT model and I will add weight from there. Thanks for watching.

Those are actually the supplement brand “animal”. Picked those up on a sale a few years ago. Very comfy.
I have the total gym max. What percentage of your workouts do you do with the TG ? I need to bulk up but hate gyms .
Since around 2020 they are pretty much all I do for resistance training with the occasional free weight set thrown in from time to time
So if I'm just beginning should I just use my regular body weight before adding the weight?
I wouldn't worry so much on being absolutist with adding weight, you can start whenever you want. I always tell people to go off of feeling and there's always something to be said for mixing things up from time to time. But sticking to bw for awhile isn't a bad idea either. You can do a lot of damage without adding any weight.
Are you working muscles every other day? How many days per week for the same muscles?
Generally shooting for hitting the muscles twice a week.
Great concept but I get sick moving back and forth so much.
I could see that might be something that could be a problem for some people.
