Nick Thank you for all your videos and instruction. No matter when or what year you put these out, THEY ARE STILL SO RELEVANT for all of us that are NEW to S & T. So thank you. Please keep going. You're videos have been so valuable to me in my learning progression. Not only the set up you have, which is great, but the way you explain things in such detail. At first, when I was very new, some of it seemed too technical for where I was in my progression. But eventually it was exactly, EXACTLY what I was looking for and needed. 👍 You're awesome.
Nick, I went from hitting shanks, pulls, hooks, slices, PGA style shots, to PGA style shots and leaving the ball slightly to the right the ball not turning over or drawing. But I feel the ball compressing which I was not feeling before. Many times a round I hit a ball from varying distances to mere feet. Played a match play match and my opponent said "all your weight is on your front foot, that doesn't look right." I beat him 9 out of 9 holes. Thanks. Could I send you my swing for you to take a look at?
Nick Taylor Golf I can't get the phrase " old dog, new tricks" out of my mind... had a lesson on Sunday and learned that there's not as much as I thought wrong with my swing😧.... it's not majestic by any means but I think it's worth me sticking at it mate.... P.s I've will be trying it with a club in my hand rather than a wooden spoon though!!! Cheers Nick🍻
Is there a proper sequence (1. Tilt 2. Turn 3. Extend) that must be followed on the backswing or are all 3 components happening simultaneously? Also, do you return to flexion on the downswing and at impact before repeating all three components on the thru swing? Just trying to get the sequencing right. Thanks.
Yes that's pretty accurate all 3 components happening simultaneously. You return to flexion before impact and then extend through impact into the finish
Thnks a lot for your reply. I did not find mostly emphasis on how to shallow dowswing from SnT channels. Regarding few vital elements for what shallowing the shaft has been built in: keeping the right wrist passive through impact, right tilt in dowswing, and weight more forward, swing in an arch, SnT player should not care the need for shallowing/slicing the ball, should not he?
It depends on the individual whether the shaft needs shallowing or not. I try and keep the club 'on plane' in backswing and downswing. There are various checkpoints throughout the course of the swing. A key one being in the downswing when the left arm is parallel to the ground (when viewed from DTL), the left arm should be in (roughly 20 degrees from the target line). The shaft should go through the right bicep and point down towards the ball at this point. The stack and tilt swing promotes a slightly downward and outward hit on the ball (not excessively from the inside).
Nice swing as always, but still misunderstood by me. From 0:5 between follow thru and finish the shaft shoud be in vertical position agaisn the grould before becoming parallel with spine angle, should not it? In this clip, movement to the left after impact it not seen, maybe you just emphasise on something other?
I think it's because I'm not swinging a real golf club so it looks different Tokin. However I would say as the club travels around the body in an arc ,at no stage is the shaft "perfectly" vertical to the ground (in my normal swing).
I see what you mean, I think Mike is exaggerating the rehanging in the follow through to keep the face open longer taking the overdraw out and maintaining loft through impact. Thats awesome, I understand my content isn't easy to follow at first but Im glad its helping you now
Since I bought the Stack and Tilt Book I understand the geometry of the golf swing better and my game has improved. The video's are great.
Thats great to hear, I know it has helped me. Thanks for your message Barbara
lots of good information, very helpful .thank you Nick.
Thanks for watching Gerry
Very well explained Excellent.

What cause one to almost fall over on the downswing
Could be lack of hip slide towards the target in the downswing
Food for thought pal
Its easier than you think

very important information gained from your reply not to misunderstand SnT. Appreciating!

I’ll try that, thanks.
