Tip Cap Safety Directive

This video will walk you through accessing the tip caps, the yellow straps and installing new tip caps. The tip caps in this video are designed and manufactured by Evolution Trikes, Northwing has their own upgraded caps as well. See SD for ALL details. This video is NOT a replacement for the Safety Directive.

I had a miserable time. The North Wing 501 Safety Directive says to take out the tip and the first three battens. Not five like you do. They also do not say to fold the sprogs. Since I don't know all the tension factors and N'th degree science of my wing I just followed the directions. 🤔 I had a miserable time.🥵
Thank you Larry. I will now recheck my work. I am sure I did not put the tapered base in backwards but cannot trust myself. So I will go through it all again. 😒
Also my haul back cable is so tight I have had to have help a couple of times to get it off and/or on.🤨 It has always been that way. ❓ I think you are stronger than many of us old customers.🙂

Is this considered a AD or factory recall part due to Manufacturing issues at time of production?

Please show how to band the batten pipe with manufacturing. Many local or home maker glider are Don't know about the correct process about the batten making.
