Dimitrov is my absolute favourite player. No nonsense, no antics, no screaming, no silly prolonged fist pumps (like most players do now) while looking at their box after every point won. It's just one freaking point and they act like they won a set or something big. This guy is the consummate pro.

Dimitrov moved brilliantly and played almost perfectly. He beat Alcaraz quite deservedly. I think he will get Zverev and then I hope he gets Miami. He is playing great this tournament.
I'd love that to happen but I don't think Zverev is a good match up for Grigor and it will be very difficult to replicate this level anyway. I think he goes out next round but then I thought he'd lose to Carlos so don't trust me. Whatever happens It's good to see him playing like this. Alcaraz's current weakness is his serve and Dimitrov does a great job taking those second serves early and attacking! Dimitrov was also much more agressive overall and wasn't afraid to go at Carlos's forehand with a cross court counter or inside in. Excellent strategy and execution!!

It was absolutely amazing. Dimi showed the game against the top that everyone expected from him 8 years ago) when they compared him with Roger. It was super cool to see such level and stability. Insanely beautiful tennis played by him. I directly imagined how Federer in his best years would have beaten Carlito in exactly the same scenario.
Grigor has always been my favourite 'next-genner' after the big three. Fantastic to see him show his full range of skills in this match. He has the talent to win a major and I hope it happens one day.
