when you said you were shooting it at 100 i thought it was a bad idea but it turned out to be a perfect call, the results turned out great man. also a few of the photos in this video have been my favorite from you in a while especially 4:44 and the one with the child after that.
Awesome video as always dude! The XPAN can make some stunning images! My favorite has got to be the one at 4:42 really great light and the focus is drawn so quickly to the two people in the foreground
I appreciate your snap-decision with some of those shots' compositions. That takes a lot of time and experience to perfect. I'm not there, but I recognize it when I see it.
I think great composition and moment is the woman alone with her smartphone while other people with their couple. And shot of security guards at their post right & left make the X-Pan aspect ratio has been so usefull, good job. Great shots & film roll anyway..👍
Video @ 6:43 "loading the film" - Okay on the opposite side of the original now worn film 'hook', install a tiny set-screw (small drill the plastic tube), which now creates a permanent METAL 'film hook' - - -📷
@@therealsirrobin I never made it to Eastern countries in Europe so far including Russia. Your video makes me want to visit! Thanks so much for sharing! And great pano photos of course!
You will need to get a new take up spool for the camera. There are fixes like making the notch bigger with superclue & baking soda or what I did to one of my cameras which was to drill a hole into the spool and insert a scrub screw into it. Finding a spare spool for x-pan might be really difficult. Might have best luck for that in japans repair shops.
Not X-Pan but F6 with the same problem, after 'only' 177 000 cycles spool stop gripping film, 200euro later new spool was installed and problem gone. But new spool for X-Pan? Totally agree with you that 'Japan repair shops' quality and price is best possible shoot.
I had the same issue with my Contax T3. I fixed it with some epoxy to build a new tooth…has been going strong for a quite some time now. It was also quick and cheap. I have video posted to YT showing what my solution looks like.
The X-pan opens a new world of street photography. Due to the panoramic format it looks very different. More dynamic and space. I like it. Unfortunately the X-Pan is very expansive. 😡
I had the same problem with the spool... I guess over time it worn out. At first I used some weak masking tape. Then I had it fixed in the Camera Museum in London. They did a great job fixing two tiny screws... now these are pulling the film
@@therealsirrobin That was £100. They even offered to swap the whole cylinder with one from the xpan they have in the museum. But the technician said it would have been more trouble that way
Since you are in Moscow, you definitely should go to, and shoot, the subway stations !!! They are the most beautiful of the world !! For other viewers "Google Moscow metro" Great shots with that expired film. Thanks for sharing and lotsa fun in Moscow.

Wow!! Are you kidding me!!! 25 years and those colours!!!! Uffff awesome
Hello from Moscow! Great pictures, it was very interesting to look at the streets through your lens! 🤝😊
Grate to see my film in the video, well done!
Thank you again for the film. I still need to shoot the other one you've sent me. 😊👍
Such beautiful colours on this expired film 🤩
The shot with the 5 women at 05:52 is amazing.
Ja auf Wiedersehen 😊
The film is really cool, the xpan is super cool, and your feelings for Street photography are ultra cool.
Great work once again!!
Best shot is the one with the guards. Composition, light and background are great!
The photo with the two guards are my favorite! Glad to see the Xpan again.
I love the way you edit. It's like I'm walking around myself. The editing that always exists with the video is also the best.
Thank you!
missed the videos with haseeblad, great photos
This film color is so good!
Great video and amazing shots! Love your work, keep it up 🙂
Great photos as usual! Glad to see the XPAN again!
Great pictures!
The images come out looking almost surreal. Great film!
Pretty good results from such an old roll of film.
The colors in the photos and also video is gorgeous
Hi Robin, the third picture is the best. The light is beautiful..

It's a little depressing to shoot an ISO 1600 film at 100 but over time color negative won't keep their sensitivity.

Thank you! I actually using zone focusing for that one. 😀

Great to see panoramic photos from you again!
Lots of beautiful shots in this episode!
02:04 Erstes Bild direkt Bombe! Was für ein geiler Film :-)
if i can borrow an X-pan one day i'll definitely try out a similar shoot in my own capital city!
As always-great shots!

Finaly a new adventure ♡♡♡♡
Wow, the photo @8:33 is amazing! Nice to see the xpan back, but very bad for my bank account
man! those colors are very nice, the overexpose was very precise lol, and the city by the way is gorgeous
Hello from Russia =) Nice to meet you here =)
Xpan 🔥🔥
Interesting to see in the video how clean everything there is! Lots of people smoking for example but no trash left behind.
Yes, it was very clean in Moscow and also in St. Petersburg.

Moscow + XPan that’s a classic in this channel. 👏🏻
More to come. 😀
Nice! I liked the photos at 3:30 and 5:52 the most 👍
Cool film :D At first I got a Superia feel from it (warm and redish)
Tons of great shot too! Love the dudes laying around at the red benches :)
Like your videos 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
oh ya finally new video
Love it. Hope you get the camera fixed. Hard to find people willing to repair that stuff anymore.
Thank you! Let's see but even if not I can still use it.

my fave shot is the guards at the palace, kinda reminds me a bit of Joint Security Area
the one at 12:49 is my fave (they're all good tho' !!)
Magnificent results indeed, is it a 45mm you got on the X-pan? By the way, in a few days I'm in the analog world, this is gonna be fun,☺️
Echt cool! Die schöne Beine von die Lady in amphi wäre auch in mein Favorit gewesen
Danke dir!
3:29 This looks like a scene from a movie.
Makes me want to go to Moscow for a photo shoot now.
I was in Moscow as a high school student in 2005. Sadly I only had a disposable drugstore camera.
Добро пожаловать!
Ку-ку
My favorite photograph is from 13.26 (the 3rd of your fav) Its becouse that photo looks like from 70s new york photography
Thank you!
Nice! :)

Yes, that is very unfortunate. 🙁
i have just realised that is where it gets its name from - xpansive

That sounds great! Do u remember how much that charged for the repair?

Thank you! I've used the Metro there and the stations are indeed awesome. The ones in St. Petersburg were lovely too.
Hello have exactly the same issue with my xpan. You can fix this issue on one place in Paris call "Les Victor". Hope can help you

Hello Sir. Enjoy your videos. Do you sell any Xpan prints? Or prints of your other film work? Best regards
Thank you Andreas! Yes, I do sell prints. My new website is currently in the making but in the mean time get in touch if you're interested. 👍
Just curious that, How come people are so chilled even after you click their picture without permission?
Please Fuji build this in digital, 2x CMOS sensors should work?
That would be great but it's very unlikely to happen.
PЯIVET!
Camera museum's technician definitely can fix your xpan, go for it.
Thank you, I'll look into it.
also i will be in saints petersburg for 4 more days
Expired film = everyone with jaundice 😂😂😂👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
He stole a photo 5:22 😂
