I have to say this is thee very first video about reason studios that anybody has created that has truly inspired me to use my reason studios perpetual licence DAW plus a gazillion rack extensions that I purchased but this is the video that has rocked my boat to float music with reason studios. IT'S EXTREMELY INSPIRATIONAL so thank you. I'm just an amateur music tinkerer learning the fine arts of DAW music production at a later age in life but this is the video for me, have a blessed weekend y'all at Reason
I do this all the time, anything from a song idea, to a beatbox or melody idea. Cool thing is if you record you humming or whistling a melody You can put that in Reason convert to midi pretty fast.
I felt like I was watching The Office. I can't help feeling that Reason Studios' recent promotional videos are embarrassing. I try to feel positive because Reason is my DAW of choice but I reckon that the advertising department needs to be injected with some new blood and that it is doing a disservice to the business and platform.
@deathknell5167 Why do you think that it won't work good? Honest question. I've had many instances open and played around between them before, worked fine, nothing crashed, but I also don't do live so can't speak from experience there.
Sorry bro, but the voice doesn't sound really good and there are some disharmonies in the instrumental. If you can't hear that, you should definitely use the players to avoid something like that
The refreshing thing about this video is it’s accessibility over technical or musical brilliance. Many of the other producer videos are at a very high-bar level of technical skill or musicality. This one as can be seen from other comments feels “real”. The results were jokey and throwaway but I feel the process is valuable to newbies and those overwhelmed. 😊
Couldn’t he have just used the tap button to match her vocal to a specific bpm … it would’ve at least bypassed that time stretch method he tried at first. I did it in my head and came up with around 80 bpm

I dont get the hate. Reason still does a lot of stuff the others simply dont do. Why is there an expectation for it to do everything they can't and also do everything they can too? I mean I get that it would be nice but is it a legit reason to cry whine about and say they absolutely NEED to do or its no longer relevant? Not even close..
Infantile fanboys who love trolling bro, you'd think they would be spending the time getting on with their work on whatever DAW they cream themselves over but no...
So they increase the update price hugely (with or without subscription) then don't add anything to Reason for over a year... and they celebrate features other DAWs just give as regular maintance updates (and have added for years), like high dpi support, a faster (but still crap) new preset browser, and so on... Is anybody except the "department of making cringe videos" and "let's have Mattias and Ryan do a vlog" alive at Reason Studios? Now compare with FL, BitWig, Logic, StudioOne, even Ableton updates, and weep...
@@mokomaka141 Some of us have spent thousands on Reason and RE back when they still gave a damn so would like to see it continue to evolve. I could throw that money away (plus the effort learning it) and just spend more money to get another DAW sure. Or just shut up and accept their lack of direction, updates, and increased prices. Makes sense if throwing money away or bending over backwards and taking it is your solution to any problem...
@@foljs5858 As a brand there is only so much one can do at a single time, I think they stretched them selfs to thin, attempting to offer as much choice as possible while making sure the DAW is reliable. Reliability and the low bar to entry for the computer used is part of the problem, if they make it to advance then it wont work anymore on lower cost machines. Reason runs well enough on low end low powered machines where as other DAWs like Ableton do not, I tested this. Reason push that anyone can do music, vs the more targeting market for other DAWs that need high end machines to run.
@@somuchfortalent I'm sorry you feel like you have to bend over backwords for a software company which sees you as a dollar sign! Hope you get actual human connections in your life, and don't confuse making music with sucking the dick of some businessmen
You arent even saying what you want.. just general complaining. At least nane the features you want to see added. Personally I love Reason and feel like i am still just scratching surface after 20 years. It provides an outlet for endless creativity like no other. Would new features be cool? Sure! Do I honestly need them to make better music? Absolutely not. I have all I need and so much more already. If I'm failing to produce good music, it's definitely my fault, not Reason.
If you want this to be seen as Basic or Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced, perhaps label that in the first word? "BASIC" or "BEGINNER". This seemed at first to be Beginner, but not seeing what was done for the rest of the video made it kinda Advanced. Mixing both can be good if done well, but doing that here was kinda bad, as it probably lost folks along the way. Starts off maybe being inspiring, and then discouraging.

I’m actually banking on reason 13 being Jaw Dropping I have high expectations and I’m extremely confident they’re going to deliver ! On a side note .. is it me .. or is Objeckt a Flop of a device ?! Granted … I haven’t given it a fair trial. Meaning I haven’t delved into it. I haven’t lifted the hood to see what it can REALLY do. But that’s because from the video demo’s I’ve seen from the creators of it … It’s just good for high end sharp organic sounds. Mainly bells 🔔 And there’s already more than enough instruments inside of reason that cover those type sounds. But I’m still excited to see what they release next. I’m hoping for midi routing, more help with music theory through midi generating players, and a piano roll that highlights what key and scale you’re in … in real time …. That would be a Godsend !!!

One of My favourite things to do is to send a drum loop into it, through the line in, then You can draw midi or play the keyboard and the rhythm of the drum beat terns into perfectly matched rhythmic sound. You could use it for Bass, mid sounds or high sounds. The drum beat continues to play along with the Objekt output but You have a mixer channel for each.

9:16 you’re probably thinking of a harpsichord.
Na. Clavinet or Cembalo
Or a celesta
I was thinking that too.
Not sure when they and he existed so I can’t call it.
Hoping we get that polyphonic detection in pitch edit view soon 🤞🏾 for harmonies and chord loops.

Can you be specific?
I think this video is likely to have the opposite affect on a lot of us than what you were expecting.
Can you specify?
How did you import vm into Reason?
Is it possible to have multiple projects open simultanously and dj between them for live performances?
A guy called A Guy Called Gerald used to do it. He'd have Reason running on two laptops and crossfade between them.
