Yeah, I'm having a, admittedly much smaller, issue with a player, friend, in a d&d game I'm playing in. I was watching vaush live talking about something super agreeable and non argumentative, and he said something to the effect of "oh vaush, I don't like him. I disagree from his left. He's super pro CIA." He had told me months prior he was a tanky so I decided to not talk politics with him very often. Now I'm worried about potential arguments we may have in the future.

Yeah. When someone says uses "they are not left enough" to dismiss someone's opinion, that's a very big red flag. As someone who has a family and friends who fully buys into the Red Scare, I understand the need to keep some opinions close and choose your battles. It's a shame that you have to keep shut about those things among someone that supossedly agrees with you, but as always, it's better to be practical about things, and see what opinions you can change and nudge, whithout jeopardizing your relationships.

They would just move onto something else to be angry at trans women for. I think you should look up what Republicans do to make sports "fair" for cis women. Search legislation for trans athletes in Ohio. Then the number of trans athletes in Ohio (spoiler: there's only 5). These laws are obviously not in concern for cis women, but instead to make trans women and girls feel othered and threatened.
Transwomen rarely ever win, or even play, against cis women. Transwomen after 2 years of estrogen HRT lose all physical advantages. Always remember, if the answer is reactionary it's most likely wrong
