- The Glaive Lord is a great Super Ceramic counter and DPS option, but its crosspaths are not as easy as you think. One path makes it throw its glaives much more often, while the other increases its damage and makes it able to pop lead and frozen Bloons.

I always make my glaive lords 5-0-2s for the easy build up and peace of mind. Plus I never get it for the reason of Moab Damage
you forgot that the glaives are extended so it can do way more damage in some spots where 52 couldnt

I do the same but in lategame you need mostly moab damage so 520 isn't a bad choice
Both the 502 and the 520 are unaffordable, making them useless
Not to mention, with buffs the glaive lord is insane

5-0-1 Glord also increases the attack radius of the orbiting rangs by 15% or so, not mentioned but definitely visible
Pretty sure either 5-1-0 or 5-2-0 increases the soeed at which the glaives spin too!

5-0-1 increases the orbital glaives range, and 5-0-2 doubles the orbiting glaive damage. Not many people know about the second part.

@Jhonatan.2444 The orbiting glaives are DOT damage, not projectiles that hit for damage.
502 also gets range and range to spinning glaives which allows some interesting placements in some maps. (Never tried myself but I'm sure there are challenges based on this one)
agree. in inferno, a 502 can cover easily both track with the extra range if placed on the top of bottom rock
This extra range helped me beat half cash water park

025 is better all around, 205 is better if there’s a chance of it being pierce capped.

I always get the 5-0-2 for a few reasons, mainly the lead popping. But also, I find the 2-0-2 is one of the most reliable starting towers, and when you get it up to a 3-0-2, basically nothing in the early game aside from MOAB+ and camos can get past

I think some people forget just how much damage glaive lord does, not even based on price
Surprised how many people don't mention lead popping ability. 502 allows you to pop anything.

I always thought 5:0:2 was miles better
The xx1 cross path now makes the orbiting glaives orbit further away so it also makes the orbiting damage area larger. A 520 does more damage late game because of the large ceramic damage of the base attack being boosted heavily by the attack speed but the 402 is better early since it can handle basically just as much as 420 but also handles leads
I got a 520 glaive lord insta from beating tier 5 elite boss, good to know its not so bad!
The ability the pop lead and frozen is also really important if you're using it with the icicle impale for ddt
I think Glaive lord 5-0-2 is better because it pops ceramics down to reds with main attack
5-0-2 is just better for most situations but 5-2-0 can scale much better with the right support.

5/2/0 Is better with external buffs
also a 5-0-2 can pop camos with its glaives that fly around it, so 5-0-2 is much better
5-0-2 also buffs the rotating glaive range and damage
Fun fact: i believe range increases in general to the glaive lord also increases the glaive radius.
I always did mine as a 520 cause i always buffed it with an alch which benefits better from the attack speed over it's innate bonus damage.
I always get a 5-0-2 because i can make the village a 4-2-0 instead of one -2-3-0 and a 4-0-0

I honestly just prefer the ability to pop leads a lot of the time. It's usually not an issue by that point of the game, but having a tower miss pops just because it hits a lead or something it can't pop just feels bad.
You can see the leaves get delayed
Tbh I mainly choose 5-0-2 bc I like how the hot Glaive lord glaives look

also if you go bottem you get lead poping power and 33% more range got buffed in latest update
Tbh, idk why, I prefer having 4-2-0 when it comes to the previous upgrade, the faster fire rate makes it feel like there is more dps, though that could be the inexperience of me playing btd6

By the time im buying 5th tier towers i have an alchemist or mib up so i go for witchever cross path has more damage unless it comes down to the towers purpose in context heing moab popping then ill pick that crosspath
4-2-0 Glaive benefits more from alch buffs tho, an alch buff can give it all the same buffs as a 4-0-2 plus some.
Well yeah, but we're talking about glord here, you get better t4 with 420 but an already shitty t5 shittier with that crosspath. It's basically the same issue with blitz where top path is usually better for t4 but it isn't for the t5.

Actually that tower is only good on 5-0-2 and only on a bend so that only leaves few maps it would even be useful on even tackzone is better a even cheaper even if it’s not on a bend

What I do is find an intersection in the map close to the entrance and place a glaive lord on one side, and a ring of fire on the other. Then get 2 villages. A 4-0-0 and a 0-3-0. Now for like 50k, you have a barrier that can pop any bloon and weed out alot of filler bloons

@@psycobaxter6833 it lost its niche. It seems more like a super ceram killer than anything. Its MOAB damage is great and all, but with the pierce nerf it seems to get overwhelmed too easy. Just a cheaper Biggest One that doesn't have any real compatibility with other towers. Just my view.

True, even the t4 kinda fell off over time. Way too many better alternatives when it comes to ceram cleanups that's either cheaper or have more utility than being just a cleanup. Recursive pretty much owns bloonarius, ddraft + ice for chimps along with spalls.
30k dps on a tower that costs 37k (I think) is crazy
I use 4-0-2 boomer a lot cuz he's cool and 4-2-0 isn't as good so I always end up with a 5-0-2
