What I'm saying is that the color scheming, the framing of the shots, all that stylistic shit is inspired from the MCU's version of Mysterio.

Go further in the story, you’ll get mysterious side missions. Once you complete all 9, you’ll get the side mission for this fight called “the finale”

@@adambump5297 Nope in a lot of stories he has real powers, it seems they based him off of that. In other stories he's just a tech guy.
@@veeay-k8398No this is definitely just hallucinogenic gas and special effects and I've never seen a comic book story line where Mysterio has actual powers not even in another Comic Universes it is always just tech, gas and science that's it the only time I recall him having any kind of power would be in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon.

Kinda disappointed how they handled my boy Quentin… I saw the “twist” coming from a mile away (by the 3rd Mysterium)… but at least I can say he *SPOILER:* …….survived during Kraven’s run, and even genuinely seeks out redemption.
Now we have Tombstone, Mr Negative, Mysterio, Sandman, and Black Cat all being redeemed from their lives of crime. Kinda wholesome, although I wish we could have seen Mysterio in his prime!
They might do that for a prequel game.

As a big fan of Mysterio in the comics, I'm... mixed on this interpretation.
1. I hate how the boss fight begins as an enemy gauntlet. Ik a lot of Insomniac bosses are like that but Mysterio is such an inventive and unique character that this kinda blows.
2. Not at all a fan of Mysterio being a sort of split identity type. We already have so many Spider-Man villains like that that this just feels... odd.
3. I appreciate the sequence in the second phase where you swing through upside down New York, as well as you actually fighting Mysterio instead of OHKO'ing him.
4. Really appreciate that he uses magic and not tech, helps him stand out.
5. HATE the skull.
Note, I have not played this game, I am simply giving my opinions on this first impression of this iteration of my favorite Spider-Man villain.
It wasn't a split identity at all, the final pendrive that Beck gives you explain how Betsy and Cole were using him to steal money from the clients, as the Mysterium attractions actually scans the credit cards of the clients to do the best illusion possible, Quentin was trying to do good but still had his criminal ways to do so 😆 Betsy and Cole used his villain past to frame him when things go bad.
