That’s true. He was in such a black hole, he was thrown into that character by all the fame and money he received for his amazing work. He was loosing himself, and became a parody, a sick version of himself. That’s what fame and money do with you, folks. But no one of us has any right to judge him at all. None of us went through the struggle his life was until now. I am actually immensely glad he got fired for himself, I think he would have ended like Alexander McQueen otherwise. Of course I couldn’t be more sad for Dior, but well. I prefer Dior changing designer while the last one is still alive, and not because he took his own life.

In every society and time, people like that exist. You can’t change that. But what matters, is what these people actually do. He was a fabulous designer, doing marvelous work. He was never racist, having lots of black models. He wasn’t the person every one makes him into, because this side of him only surfaced when he was deeply depressed and severely drugged. And I don’t think that you’re in a position to judge someone that has gone through as horrible periods as him. And you can see how ashamed he is every time people show this clip while he’s present.
