    Amazing videos hit the mark in every way. The photography is professional quality. Editing with excellent narration. Of course you have nothing if there is no story, and that you have in spades. Just love these, and I find them perfect for the long covid sequestered days. I’m a was raised and worked all along the BC coast. Wonderful videos!

    When I first saw the clip, I thought I was going to see the most exotic police chase ever. Then I read the caption and tucked in for a well produced yachting video.

    lovely to see the genesis of that particular yacht! i just came across your channel (one of your inside passage videos-- a trip i've done multiple times on the ferry system that also plies that route) the other day, and have been enjoying what you've created. still watching this video as i type, and was delighted to see the snippet about the stirling engine generator being put in! completely independently of your videos, i've been learning about stirling engines lately, and i'll be eager to watch more, and find out how it's worked in the particular iteration for which you've installed it.

    • @FlemingYachts
      @FlemingYachts  5 років тому

      I'm sorry to say that the Stirling engined generator proved very unreliable and the company building them ceased production during the 2008 financial debacle. The generator was removed from Venture about 10 years ago.

      very sorry to hear that-- they're such an intriguing concept. as i continued watching this video, i realized that it's possible i've encountered Venture at some point (in theory, at least)! between 2005-2010, i was spending quite a bit of time in the summer months in the san juans, vancouver, et al, and i was at the various ports, gazing with lust at all the eye candy moored at those ports. :-)

    I was hoping to see the story of venture. Boats built from an asian island.. they've been doing that for a very long time. I am of the north, where beautiful has splinters, and hulls smell of vinegar. I could imagine details really do deserve awards. great story.

    Did you make a video of when you replaced the engines and how did you get the old ones out and the new ones installed?

    • @FlemingYachts
      @FlemingYachts  4 роки тому

      No, I'm afraid we did not make a video of engine replacement. However, all Flemings are designed so engines can be removed without wrecking boat. Basically, a crane boom is extended in through aft doors. On the 65, the aft arm of the galley mast be moved for the port engine but the galley is designed to come apart.

    • @RetiredPilot
      @RetiredPilot 4 роки тому

      @@FlemingYachts That is too bad as it would have demonstrated the exceptional engineering that went into the boat. It is also gratifying that you constantly improve your yachts but retain the original design that has made them so safe and dependable. Cheers

    Curious with 60k nautical miles, how many hours are on the engines? Have the engines been rebuilt or replaced?

    • @FlemingYachts
      @FlemingYachts  5 років тому +2

      The original engines were replaced after about two years but not because they were worn out.
      Venture serves as a testbed for new ideas and we wanted to try the current MAN common rail engines before installing them in new builds. The MAN engines now have about 4,800 hrs on them which is nothing for a landbased diesel on which these engines are based.

    I hope with the assistance of any of your Friendships, this Posting, finds you well Tony. Grateful emotions fill my every moment since i viewed "a Tony Flemming Film"; may they always be etched in Time. Yes, this is gonna be way more than a comment. Tony, you are the coolest man walking on the planet, my hero. Reggie Fountain of Fountain power boats is now "the number 2"( no disrespect intended, I encourage everyone to watch
    "The fastest man on the planet" for story of Reggie Fountain & his boats Your films have triggered my excessive compulsive Behavior that Sparks my Soul's Being & Let's me know "We" are connected to a greater multi dimensional state of being. It's Your cruising style & planetary knowledge that I recognize as Sovereign & in a way of a liaison for planet Mother Earth & it's inhabitants. ( "Heavy", i know, I've been called heavy "D" light) it takes one to know one... I and Venture would like to say" really ready to join the Flemming family of Friendship" as an approved Handler calibrated by your friend Captain Chris. Behind the wheel of a Fleming is where I belong, venture, with a vibration that harmonious, is my style. Its now just matter of time... Delopmopolis
    Alabama is closest point for pickup for Venture's next project. What her ETA? Much love here

    They don't celebrate "Christmas Eve" in Asian countries so why did you add that phrase? You cannot carry paying U.S. passengers without violating federal law.

    You rely on the lack of maritime history of your viewers - I'm not one of them. If you had just explained why foreign built was necessary I would have no problem with your videos. But your silence is "evil" in its own way. Of course we lost the whole industry to foreign builders since WWII, but at least you could explained that.

    • @yogibear4682
      @yogibear4682 6 років тому

      Youre a stupid clown. There is a very valid explanation (not that one is needed just to please the likes of you). There is also a mention on how building the boats here have helping hundreds of people have better lives in that country and around the world. You might not lack in maritime history (I actually think you do lack by your ignorance alone), but you lack big time in brains.

      Something seriously wrong when a country has to make a law to make people buy their products, sorry.
