- COLORSHIFTING SIREN - Night Swim in my Beauty and Brine Silicone Mermaid Tail - Happy Halloween from The Magic Crafter! I know it isn't officially Halloween yet, but I figured you all would be busy on Halloween. So I stuck with the normal Friday post instead of posting this video on the holiday itself. :)
Normally, Mermaid Phantom is the star of our Halloween night swim videos. However, I thought I'd share an underwater night swim video of Mermaid Krimzon (AKA me with my Beauty and Brine tail on and no wig lol).This tail doesn't stand out as well at night. It kind of blends in, which makes me look less fairytale like and more siren mermaid like, I think. (The tail has parts of it that are supposed to glow in the dark, but we really don't get enough light in the evening OR have bright enough lights at home to get it to glow while swimming... I'll try to figure something out though).
I was going to post a video of Mermaid Phantom instead, but since the video is not done yet and will be SUPER long, I figured I'd wait to post that. But please know that I am cooking up something new! Hehehe!
AND SPEAKING OF SOMETHING NEW...
The tailmaker for the second new silicone mermaid tail just informed me that they will be pouring the silicone for the new tail this weekend. Are you freaking out? Because I'm freaking out. This new character is already lowkey my favorite one because she has a lot of meaningful things tied into her outfit and story. I hope you guys will like her too. :)

You know, I first fell in love (accurate) with Mermaid Phantom within the Magic Crafter Multiverse but Mermaid Krimzon really appeals to me because she seems to be a little bit closer to your human self. Whether that’s just the absence of a wig, I don’t know, but you and this tail have a mixture of strength and vulnerability that is unique to Krimzon and is utterly beautiful to watch. You look amazing in this video. You said in a previous video that this tail didn't hide as much of you as you would like. However from watching you in this sequence you have nothing to worry about. This tail flows seamlessly out of your upper body and is so realistic you have to believe mermaids are real. I love your work and the reality of a mermaid in the wild lake looking so good in brilliant. Please look after your self, you are amazing and have nothing to worry about the way you look. The invisible monofin is incredible. I would think this offers more control and propulsion. Maybe there will be a few sunny days to stitch together light reflection off the rail to see the color shift underwater
It really is something else! I won't get the chance to swim with it again until next summer, but I will certainly try to get some clips for you that go from shaded areas to lighter areas so you can really see the colorshift well. :)

As always you make mermaids come alive, MP! Are you planning on getting another silicon tail? And how difficult are they compared to the fabric tails? As someone who is training to scuba dive what do you recommend for someone who is a 29 year old woman?
Thank you so much, Amy! I will be getting a new silicone mermaid tail soon. It should be here in a few months. :) If you are new to mermaid swimming (but an experienced swimmer), I would suggest trying out a FINISH shooter monofin and see how you like it. That is what is in most silicone tails. It will help you to know if you enjoy the dolphin kick maneuver for swimming. (I am almost 28 years old, btw!). From there, you could chose to get a fabric tail that the monofin will fit in (or get a Mahina or Mertailor monofin) or you could get a silicone tail if you feel comfotable doing so. :)
As a person who cannot swim at all I admire your swim technique but I feel the mermaid tail requires more energy to use because it seem to me not have enough driving force. Anyway the tail looks nice and you look great too.
The tail actually propels you through the water much faster than without a tail (with feet only). It does require a lot of energy when you do tricks (and fight waves, as we do in Lake Michigan) but it really is an easier way to swim, in my opinion. 🖤 Thank you for your kind compliment! 💕

The water is freshwater, so it does not hurt my eyes unless I am in for a very long time. But I cannot see clearly because I was born with bad eyesight. I can only see 2 inches in front of my face without visual aid, so on land and in the water I can't see well. 😅

Hey Phantom, Happy Halloween!! Hope you are well, you’ve been very busy on both UA-cam and instagram, coming from a guy who lives in a cave for a bedroom lol😅. I do have a question though what is your ritual after getting out of the water in the colder days of the year, do you eat or drink something warm like soup, Hot coco or coffee to warm yourself or are you fine with colder temperatures after years of performing as a mermaid? I’m trying to come up with a ritual to keep myself warm while filming during the holidays this year and could really use some inside knowledge from a pro such as yourself. Happy halloween.
