If you listen closely when Scott was at the Rainforest Cafe, you can hear Eddy Burback screaming in agony
Man, I would’ve KILLED to be surrounded by grain like that growing up. When I was a kid you could really only have grain on one side of you
Yeah, I mean sure, we've all tried spreading the grain on the floor and rolling around on it, but it's just not the same.
@@puddintamer2298 my family was too poor to afford grains for rolling :(
Never forget the news anchor who lost his mind, but regained enough sanity to then call out the company for half a box of cereal. The true king of the video
😤✊
I thought cereal adventure would have roller coasters and stuff. But this is.... good too... I mean being... surrounding by grain is always nice and... they have a kix dispenser...plus all the learning...and.. oh hey look at the time
It simulates accurately what it would be like to be trapped under a disintegrating roller coaster made of grain. Close to having a roller coaster.
I think the Grain Entrapment simulator sounds very nice. To really ramp it up they should have Paul Bunion yelling at children to stomp the grains down while a suffocating cloud of dust dumps down on them.
I would volunteer at a pretty big County Fair and this was the kind of stuff they had there except it wasn't branded and the people working there actually cared about what they were talking about
"SOMEBODY GET DEFUNCTLAND ON THIS!" The battle cry of the masses.
"The kids love being surrounded by the grain" sounds like it's straight out of one of the Children of the Corn movies 😶
Big “the children yearn for the mines” energy- or for For Your Attraction fans, big “tourists want to see the Orca.”
scott’s videos honestly share lots about the “quirky” side of american culture which i find fun. thanks scott, from a non-american
I agree. As an American there are often things even I've forgotten about our culture that I remember because of him. I just love keeping the memories alive in some way :)
I’m really happy Scott had fun :)
If he cloned himself he could enjoy it twice as much. That would be insaneo style.
I remember going here on a field trip as a kid BUT I THOUGHT THIS WAS A FEVER DREAM BC NOBODY ELSE REMEMBERED THIS PLACE I FEEL SO VALIDATED
Yeah a similar thing happened to me but I was watching TV somewhere I was visiting a couple years ago and it was almost time for me to sleep. The only thing I remember from it was a girl talking to Thomas the tank engine and some oddly delicious looking cookies they looked a bit like sugar cookies
@@lylelylecrocodile2538 There use to be an older version of Thomas the Train with real people. I remember that.
Thank you so much for the shoutout 🤩 I'm so happy that you saw it and didn't hate it!!!
"Basically it's where your favorite cereals come to life."
*Starts by learning about grains*
Scott reliving his nostalgia at the end of the video and acting like a kid is absolutely the sweetest thing I have seen all week
Me too! I was actually smiling ear to ear and feeling so happy for him. It even made me want to go. I love malls lmao
Gotta love it when Scott covers the most random things he can think of
To me childhood felt like a fever dream. So when he does mention old things that he is hoping he didn't dream up or make up is pretty relatable to me. I most certainly appreciate what he does. :)
Being "surrounded by grain" is actually one of my deepest fears. So yeah, I'll probably pass 🤣🤣
@@MrDj232 I was actually thinking getting buried alive in a grain silo (happens a lot to farmers) but funnily enough, I am also gluten intolerant 😂
@@MichaelHumphrey ya that would suck
Worse then quicksand
Now gold in a big money bin
That is a dream
I admire Scott’s fearlessness about filming silly things by himself in public, I could never
I think his wife was there as well, I would guess by some of the shots where he’s not holding the camera :)
@@hommefataltaemin I thought about that, but I think he just set it up so he could film hands-free in those cases. Either way :)
I've lived 15 minutes from the Mall of America my entire life so I like forget that it's a special thing and not just like the normal mall that everyone goes to. Always interesting to see other people's perspectives on my local mall lol
Same! Everyone is always excited to go when they visit, and it just feels like a slightly bigger mall to me
Same with me, i've never really thought im going to the biggest mall in the U.S, ive always just though of it as "the mall".
Are they still doing alright? Every Mall around me has or is closing. But these are probably tiny compared to Mall of America.

"Meet you in the Rainforest Cafe in one half hour."
I can already hear Ted Nivision cracking a smile on his face, while Eddy Burback has PTSD from the safari fries he's consumed.
Years ago for my birthday, I went to RFC. I remember getting sick there. I had to be taken to the hospital overnight for food poisoning. Not, obviously, a Happy Birthday.
Scott: *pleasantly enjoying his time at Mall of America*
Eddy Burback: *gut wrenching screams in Rainforest Cafe*
i love how scott is wearing the same shirt at the mall, implying that he went to the mall immediately after he finished recording
I have literally never thought about the rainforest cafe until this past month or two where I have now watched 75% of the youtubers I regularly watch, attend.
@@elegantdisarray I would have to drive 5 hours to vegas, but I'm almost down.
@@abbykraczek4153 driving 5 hours is a long easier than a cross-country road-trip
“Meet you at the Rainforest Cafe” gave me flashbacks to Eddy and Ted’s videos
I'm literally taking a break from making VBS decorations right now. I can attest that those definitely look to be similar in quality. But you know what? At VBS, our favorite cereals don't come to life. So...
Art. I got to live out some childhood goals and make giant art supplies like Art Attack.
And suddenly, I understand the thing about "going to the mall". The malls I've visited in Australia are just, you know, shops.
I like how the lady trying to promote the park keep talking about the process of making cereal. As if children would get excited about the grinding of gain.
I'm with Scott, the kids are turning the wheel bc it's colorful and it's there
As an adult, I wanted to turn it lol
Cereal adventure actually seemed like it would have been fun as a kid in the same way that a cheaper heavilly commercialized version of the smaller exibits at the Boston Museum of Science were when my school took their annual trip. None of it is overly flashy or exciting but it was all pretty cool. Alot of the attractions seemed like the "we have the boston museum of science at home" version of a lot of the stuff that I experienced there.
Ugh the museum of Science is amazing. Would’ve loved to go on a field trip there for school
I remember going to Cereal Adventure, too! I was like 4 and I distinctly remember the giant cheerios and crawling in the hive. In fact, I annoyed my older cousin who was tasked to watch me by refusing to leave the hive when it was time to go, giggling all the while. Good times! Thanks for bringing back the memories, Scott!
This opened up a core memory for me, Scott. Thank you for this. I went once and showed my cereal box at show and tell.
Does anyone else also remember the Flinstones theme park in Custer, SD??? Scott??
I LOVED the Flintstones theme park! I would go there with my sisters and grandparents every summer. We had so much fun. I was heartbroken when I found it it was shut down.
yeah there were 3 of those parks around the country. 2 are completely closed & one is technically closed; it has turned into a bird sanctuary but some of the structures are still there including the dinosaur slide. i think there's videos of them on youtube, at least of the one that's partially open.
I love videos like this, videos talking about things i don’t/barely remember. It’s very captivating. Please keep making videos like this Scott, they’re always a good break from the world.
Me: Scott you need to take us to cereal adventure...
Scott: *Tries to take us to Cereal Adventure*
Me: Thank you for trying scott
This literally just looks like there prepping kids to work in cereal warehouses 😂
Even though he didn’t get to see cereal adventure one last time, it was worth it to see the smile on his face. And the fear from Paul Bunyan.
I live in Minneapolis Minnesota and I went here growing up. I have very fond memories of it. A lot of people in this area miss the days of camp snoopy which we think of as more authentic since the creator was from Minnesota. We also have a long history with grain believe it or not😂 nowadays it’s Nickelodeon themed and not as good.
Really? Because it honestly looks way better now, imo (from the pictures and videos I've seen).
I've never been, but my brothers have back in the late 90s and they said the mall was really underwhelming and overhyped. Lmao
@@Jhfisibejoso8pkabrvo2is8 We lost much of the charm going from Camp Snoopy to Nickelodeon.
But we gained two coasters and a few neat new flat rides plus managed to save the Log Chute, so it's a bit mixed.
The biggest ride loss from Camp Snoopy was the simulator theater, which was torn down to be replaced by the park's signature coaster.
They've since added in a few new simulator rides - a Soarin'-like ride and some smaller ones - but those are all a seperate upcharge while Snoopy's was part of the main park.
Everyone should go watch Scott's skit on his second channel. It's an incredibly well done skit calling out strange but common occurrences in American media whilst being funny.
Scott feeling bad about making his grandma spend a lot of money on him is how I feel when I look back on memories as a kid. Everybody knows kids just want things and put no thought into how money works or how much things cost. But when I think back to myself doing that, I feel awful lol I remember crying one time because my dad didn’t buy me a dog (that was well over $2000 btw), and thinking back on that, I feel bad for even complaining about it lol like, my dad felt terrible for not being ABLE to get me that dog. And me crying put him in an uncomfortable position where he was forced to break my heart. And honestly, that was on me. That was like 20 years ago, and I feel horrible for the way I acted when I was 5 lol
When you mentioned the log chute ride, I instantly nodded in recognition. I'm nearby the Twin Cities area too, so I've been on that ride many times as a kid.
I remember when Cereal Adventure was a thing too. There's still a box of Cheerios with a picture of me as a kid somewhere in my mother's house
Another person bringing back The Rainforest Cafe! Ted would be proud 🥲
I wish I could go back to those days… when we were surrounded by the grain, not a care in the world
Shoutouts to scottys grandma for being a champ and giving her grandkids a nice day 20 yrs ago :)
A core memory I have is Camp Snoopy turning into Nickelodeon land, top 5 greatest betrayals of all time. Also MOA is amazing, instead of having 100's of different stores, they have like 2 of every major chain. They used to have three whole gamestops in one building, wild stuff.
As a Minnesotan who went to MOA soooo many times this video made me feel unreasonably happy. I love your videos so much and it’s awesome to have more Midwest creators showcasing our unique culture LOL ♥️ Keep up the amazing vids!!!
This video gives me that warm childhood feeling of being surrounded by the grain. ❤️
Growing up close to MOA, I can agree with the fear of the animatronics on the log ride. I hide every time I go by babe the blue ox because it randomly sprays water out of its nose and that is horrifying.
This cereal theme park is probably the most unnecessary thing ever.
And I owned a pillow pet as a kid.
@@Goodstitching Honestly, I love the idea. I think the way it could have been executed could have been better.
I also had a pillowpet or two, I have no idea where they went. :/
I still have my pillow pet and I love her. It's not unnecessary when it gives you childhood nostalgia! The general Mills capitalist theme park was definitely just a cash grab though lol
That "big pheasant" is actually a prairie-chicken - a much more interesting bird that a pheasant.
Scott, I live in the south metropolitan area of St.Paul and I always thought cereal adventure was some fever dream from when I was 5 because I couldn’t quite remember all about it. This video brought back so much nostalgia. Great work as always!
Sometimes when you pour grain, like when they dump grain on farm from the silos, for some reason it can flare up and cause a fire. I don’t know the science behind it, I just wanted to say that lady going “the kids love it” as the grain is dumping onto the clear ceiling makes me think that could be a really dangerous idea and huge fire hazard 😅
Maybe it's the friction of the oats, a sentence I didn't think I'd be saying today or ever.
They had a rival cereal "theme park" owned by Kellogs in Battle Creek Michigan that we went to in the early 2000's. It was called Cereal City and open in the late 90s I think.
Theme parks inside a shopping centre! So crazy to see as an Australian haha
Your mustache gives me "retired cop dad grilling dogs at a home bbq" vibes. Love it.
It was nice of Scott to take us on a road trip at the end, even if cereal land wasn’t there.
Coco puffs, Kix, & Golden Grahams sounds like a good combination?
Lady, who has ever enjoyed Kix?
I loved kix as a small child. There are old photos of 3 year old me being caught on the floor with one fist full of kix that I'm shoving into my mouth and the other in the box to grab more. My mom said she had to keep the kix in a different place than the other cereal because i was always breaking in to it whenever i got out of sight 😂
I feel like some companies in the 90s had so much money that they didn’t know what to do with it.
Defunctland references were not expected, but highly welcome. Currently awaiting the most ambitious crossover event of Scott and Kevin.
love this channel so much and i love how he just makes everything 10x funnier lol
LITERALLY WAS WATCHING OLD VIDEOS THINKING “WHEN WAS SCOTT GONNA UPLOAD AGAIN” AND THEN I SAW THIS !! THANK YOU MR CRAMER FOR BLESSING US YET AGAIN WITH ANOTHER BANGER
I did a vlog in the Mall of America before seeing the Game Grumps live and I went to the Crayola store. It was cool. They love their themed stores.
I’ve lived in the twin cities my entire life, grew up in the 90s, went to camp snoopy plenty of times and have no recollection of this whatsoever.
Watching this video, I was convinced this place must have closed down by now because of, well, lets just say obvious reasons. Then at the end he gets up to visit it and I go "Oh wow, I can't believe its still open after all these years!... Ohhh, yup, well that makes a lot more sense." 😂
Thank for at least trying Scott, it would have been so interesting to see!!
I just love that so much of this channel is Scott reliving childhood memories with us.
As someone who has always lived close to the mall of america, when i was a kid i LOVED the cereal adventure. I was so so mad when they got rid of it and turned it into mini golf. We still have out wheaties boxes with our pictures on them. I also have like super vivid memories of the cheerio area!!!
as a minnesota native and current resident, i fondly recalled every single attraction you brought up at the beginning… EXCEPT for cereal adventure. i’ve never even heard of it until this video
In Ireland we have a theme park dedicated to the Tayto Man, a giant Crisp/Potato Chip man, legend has it if you bow the knee and sacrifice one of your newborns to him he'll give you the most flavoursome cheese and onion crisps in all the land. But seriously...it's a theme park about crisps hahaha
Couldn't they find a more interesting spokesperson to hype up cereal adventure?
Also, I love your shirt 🎉
"Why am I wearing this stupid shirt anyways? Captain Crunch isn't even a General Mils - he's a dang Quaker Oats character for goodness sake." LOL, best part of the video!
We had one of these at a Kellogg factory in Michigan. I feel like this is a fever trip. All I remember was that I was going to flatten that cereal before I shoved it into the oven
congrats on 700k, scott! so well deserved--you always bring such a unique & innovative flair to the commentary genre
Scott thanks for this! That part at the end of the video where you said it sometimes feels like sharing your work is sending it into the void, I feel that. I guess just wanted to say I love your content, probably seen every video of yours at least twice. This week has been a really rough one, feeling the strugglr vibes really hard. Was treating myself for for finishing it up and sat down to watch something while I ate and seeing you'd posted a new vid made my night! Loved it, laughed out loud several times even tho I'm by myself rn and just,,, all the rambling I guess to say thanks for what you do ♡
I’m from Minnesota and have vague memories of going to this cereal adventure park as a little kid! I specifically remember taking a slide down into the park and going to a ‘cereal bar’ where they’ll make you a bowl of whatever General Mills cereal you want lol. It was my childhood dream. I can’t believe other people remember this attraction. I thought it was lost to time 😂
RIP Camp Snoopy. Best part of my childhood as a kid growing up in Minneapolis. I also do remember going to Cereal World as a kid after going to a movie at the Mall of America, and I'm pretty sure it was right next to the food court. Looking back, it definitely feels like a weird fever dream from my childhood. But a great one at that!
Imagine a cereal theme park in today's world, the Internet would break.
It was crazy to see a familiar place. I've always been 2 hours away from the MoA so every year or so I'll take a trip out there. Sure enough, it looks just the same as the last few trips. But it was cool to be able to point out and identify all of the places I knew!
The PBS segment did them dirty, this place was way cooler in my memories, but then again I was probably 10. I went to Cereal Adventure MULTIPLE times as a kid, I freakin loved that place & even made my own custom cereal - I still have the empty customized box in my basement lol. I live about 15 min from MOA and visit often, I forget it’s like a tourist destination and not just my local mall, in fact I worked there for many years as a performer at Nickelodeon Universe (pssst stop asking Squidward to dab, we want to but aren’t allowed anymore 🙃)
Interesting that General Mills were in direct competition with Kellogg’s Cereal City USA in the cereal amusement park business. Which Kellogg’s won as it closed in 2007.
The only thing I remember was the ability to have a cereal box with your picture printed on it, and punching the Tony the Tiger mascot.
I appreciate your knowledge of Jim Gaffigan jokes Scott
Dude of course we connect with your content that’s why we’re here! Ive binge watched your channel like a Netflix show haha We appreciate the quality content you provide us!!!
As someone who grew up going to MSP for vacation and Doctors appointments I loved it so much I moved here 6 months ago, after 13 years of saying I was going to live here. I am living for the MoA nostalgia
The fact that you said these look like vacation Bible school decorations brought back such a vivid core memory. I literally hate and love you for that at the same time. I literally went to vacation Bible school in a town that literally my grandpa helped build literally the church was the only thing in the town besides a gas station the church was also my school I went to school in the church basement and every year we would have vacation Bible school on the week of my birthday in June and it made me so angry because I'd have to be at church every day during my birthday week listening to stupid Bible stories i already learned in school at the same place and the decorations were literally always just tissue paper. Like one year we did the Olympics as the theme and we had like the torch that they have for the Olympics, and it was literally just as tissue paper and for the medals, it was literally just cardboard circles with numbers drawn on it attached to a ribbon
Scott got me all excited about someday going so cereal adventure land just to kill my dreams when I realized that I will never be able to go 😭 thanks Scott
Magic Spoon missed their opportunity to advertise their “grain free ~cereal~” !
New Salem Sue and the World's largest Buffalo in Jamestown are two of my favorite stops going through ND! Ive also found the giant pheasant for the first time literally a week ago!
I literally went here when I was a kid. I wanna say probably between 2002-2003 if it closed in 2003. And I vividly remember making the cereal box. I remember I chose lucky charms, golden grahams, and cheerios as my cereal choices. And I'm not sure if we still have the box but I remember for years we kept the box. That's like my only memory of the Mall of America lol.
You unlocked such a deep memory for me!
My family must have been very into the cereal experience, because I remember going to a Kellogg's play area/museum in battle creek Michigan!
Oh lord I need to see if that Kellogg’s place is still open so I can take my kids! As a michigander, I’m so ashamed that I never went as a child 🥺😭
@@amanda6876 Hello fellow Michigander! I'm sorry to say that I think it closed down a while back :(
I loved it but I guess not enough parents wanted their kids to get the grain experience!

I went to the Mall of America a couple months ago and the idea that I could have crossed paths with you just boggles my mind
scott is not struggling, scott is apparently TRENDING
Scott drove 4 hours to be surrounded by the grain - and didn’t even get to 😔
I remember an episode of 2 of a kind when the model they lived with was "eating"breakfast by breathing in the steam of the food their cook was making
I grew up in Minnesota! I was in high school when Cereal Adventure opened up, so I never went. Tho I do remember people kept rubbing Lucky’s bulge until the paint wore off >__>
I do miss Camp Snoopy and the giant inflatable beehive. It was pretty boring when it was just “the park at the mall,” so we were glad when nick came in to spice things up. They have some pretty good rides :)
Man I wish youtube and you were around 20 years ago.... i was a brand new parent then...and that younger me should have watched this video... I didn't take my kids to these 'amusement attractions' thinking 'no big deal.. my kid won't care.... and then to see how much these things impacted you... make me Regret all the missed opportunities I prevented my kids from experiencing-- so in a long winded way....thank you for posting... these experiences are amazing and hope other find inspiration in enjoying the things around them.... A+ job to Scott's parents!!!
Your sponsored segment transitions are always so clean lol I halfway suspect that you just straight up change clothes specifically for the sponsor to make the jump more different lol
The idea of this brings chills through my spine
I love this. Please make more videos about random amusement parks.
Edit: I will happily accompany you to the next closest thing. Not cereal related, but still in the food category and in my area - Hersheypark and Hershey’s Chocolate World!
My fight-or-flight instincts kicked in when I saw Scott in the Rainforest Cafe (from watching Ted and Eddy's videos).
