NCT are so much fun. I think 127 and NCT U are the units you’ll enjoy the most. I recommend NCT U’s ‘7th sense!’ The whole giant group thing sounds crazy but honestly it’s just like a bunch of groups that sometimes get together and collab 😂 it’s fun!

NCT as a whole is a really versatile group, they have really hardcore rap songs and then insane vocal ballads. They have tried so many different genres there's definitely something you like 🔥 Rap - Kick It, Whiplash, Cherry Bomb, Misfit (NCT U)
This song was a very different genre for these guys. If you want really good rapping from nct 127 you should listen to Fact check, Kick it, Skyscraper but if you want a little bit of nct 127 R&B I recommend Gold dust, 127 Time stops. I also recommend The NCT 127 Killing voice where they sing a compilation of their songs live. Highly recommend the killing voice by nct127 but also the exo one !!!! there is a very old video of all (20+)them (NCT) in 2020 called resonance also recommend. I do have to mention that in the resonance music video 4 members left the group in between 2020-2024 and 6 others got added in 2024
The thing is, yes 25 members, but they mostly release music and promote in those sub groups. Even though they're all apart of NCT It feels like a special occasion when they all get together and do anything.

NCT127 is my fav group with XG! As a hip-hop and rnb lover, I didn’t find any other boy group that does rnb songs and harmonizing together like NCT127. You can check Intro : wall to wall (vocals and rap, sadly it’s just an intro song), Skyscraper (rap and vocals), Gold Dust (rnb) and Parade (experimental). The last 3 songs don’t have any MV, so maybe you can check the NCT127 Killing Voices. Also, Jaehyun that you mention 9:32 is a rnb king as a soloist, so that’s why he was probably also mentioned in your comments. You should check his songs too : Smoke, and Dandelion & Roses (it’s actually 2 different songs but they made one mv for both). Support from Belgium!
NCT was created with the idea of having a sub-group for different places/vibes: 127 for SK, Dream at the beginning were for an younger audience but it was evolved along the years, WayV is the chinese sub-group, Wish is the newer sub-group which brings a youthfull, teen vibe to it, NCT U is every single member together where in each song a set of members are chosen to be in that song based on vibes and who fits the song better. These are my boys! They’re a heavy RnB and Hip Hop group BUT the MAIN thing to note with them is that their title tracks are very experimental so it’s best to not go in with an expectation on what you’re gonna hear. Also they have a great rap line. Don’t let this song fool you on that lol. This wasn’t a rap heavy song.

MARK is Canadian (he lived in Toronto, Vancouver, New York) and JOHNNY is American (he’s from Chicago). both are Korean blood tho. that prolly explains the name. the members consist of 9 nationalities if i remember correctly. and MARK LEE is one of the best rapper in Kpop industry nowadays (yup among all boys or girls), and most of kpop fans and the industry itself admits that. i suggest you to watch more NCT songs, they are one of a kind. the sub-groups basically work just like 4 different groups, but every once in awhile they pick 1-2 members from each group to release a music that suit the lineup. we call it NCT U (United).

Okay, small & understandable introduction to NCT: NCT has 25 members and is divided into units Fixed units that work as if they were normal kpop groups: - NCT 127: 8 members - NCT dream: 7 members (Mark and Haechan are in both 127 and dream!!!) - WayV: the chinese unit of nct, 6 members - NCT wish: the japanese unit, 6 members Special units: - NCT U: "U" stands for united, it means that any of the 25 members can be in this unit it just depends on who fits the song/concept the best! So we always have different number of members and different combinations between all 25 members. This unit is mostly only used for "full group" comebacks (I'll explain in this in just a second) - NCT Dojaejung: a trio unit composed of 3 members from nct 127 (Doyoung, Jaehyun and Jungwoo), they have so fare a mini album called "Perfume" We currently have 2 members in the military: Taeyong & Jaehyun (both from nct127) And in 2024 Taeil was kicked out of the group due to some disgusting things he did (FUCK TAEIL!!!) Full group comebacks: The whole of NCT have once a year or once every two years a full group comeback. This means that once a year all 25 members come together to do an album. Fact check: Taeil is still under investigation and hasn't been proven guilty yet. Let's not forget about the innocent until proven guilty principle ⚖️ it has been almost five months since the investigation started and he hasn't been detained yet due to lack of evidence (which says a lot). His reputation has been heavily damaged by rumors and defamation, but law-enforcement agencies have not called him guilty yet. Taeil was one of the main vocals of NCT and his contribution to NCT legacy is immense. It would be nice to respect this. Taeil is known for his strong voice and signature high-note parts in the most popular NCT songs (Kick it, Simon says, Cherry bomb etc., the list can go on and on). In Walk, those good vocal parts that you liked are him (also Doyoung and Haechan - main vocals too). If you continue to dive into NCT's discography you'll hear Taeil a lot. He's really good. I highly recommend "Kill it" by P1harmony! the jongseob part (the group's main rapper) is SO good, I think that boy's flow (who is only 19 years old, by the way!) is incredible

I'm not confident Fire Truck would align with your tastes, but I think it's still worth a try because it's their debut. It's fun to see where groups started. I don't enjoy the other subunits as much but I do like NCT U's The 7th Sense and Boss which I'd also recommend to you guys.

Nct127 is my favorite kpop group! I don’t pay too much attention to the other units because their musical style is a bit different. 127 has amazing b-sides so all my favorite songs from them are album cuts rather than their title tracks. You can pick any of their albums since 2 baddies and they don’t have any skips.

Nct is under the same company of baekhyun n taemin which is SM ENTERTAINMENT.Although taemin solo career no longer with SM entertainment however his group activity is still under SM entertainment. Just a little bit of background info. Taemin n baekhyun career started with SM
NCT has lost a few members, specifically Lucas, Taeil, Shotaro, and Sungchan. Lucas was in WayV and Taeil was in NCT 127 and Shotaro and Sungchan were in NCT U but are now in a fixed group called RIIZE but they do still appear in their older music videos so just be aware of that when you get to know them.
The reason some have more English sounding names is because they’re from Australia, US etc… not all of the members in groups are always born and raised in Korea.
nct subunits provide most of the music, it's only once a year that the entire group gets together to put out a full project (and that's not every year too, it's been 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2023 so far) so I'd definitely say the subunits are needed lmao

Hey guys, I definitely agree that male K-groups are behind in rapping atm, and it's been like that for a while. SM is especially known to not have the best rappers-- that is, until Mark and Taeyong came around in NCT (they are both in 127; Mark rapped in this, but Taeyong is in the military rn). They are starting to get some better rappers now. I'd say this track is nowhere close to Mark and Taeyong's full rapping ability and would love to see what you think of their other tracks! A lot of people have said that this is one of NCT 127's tamest title tracks, and I agree with that. I suggest listening to 2 Baddies, Kick It, Cherry Bomb, Simon Says, Sit Down, Limitless, and Fire Truck. I think you'll find Taeyong to be a really unique rapper :) God bless!

They have more rap heavy songs. But overall i'd say NCT 127 diacography is mostly R&B and his main titl3s are expermlimental AsF, exvept for Walk, maybe, it's their most "normal" one 😅

NCT essentially sticks to their own subunits, though. They only get together as a full group every couple of years to release a full group album. So it's pretty easy as a fan to just stick to one unit at a time.

I recommend 'Agust D' by Agust D 💜 Agust D is a member of BTS, just like j-hope who coming up in your rotation too I think 💜 You always mention BTS, they're world famous ofcourse, but I don't think you've touched their surface. What's special about the rappers in BTS is that they come from the underground hiphop scene in Korea. They were making beats and spitting on the streets and in clubs since they were teenagers in the 2000's. I don't know any other rapper in a kpop group that were active in the underground scene. So you can expect some true, raw, out of the gutter talent from these boys. So excited for you to check it out!🎉

Also, on the topic of girl group rappers better then boy group rappers, it mostly depends because some girl group don’t have strong rappers and others do, same with boy groups, some have good rappers and others don’t. I'm not sure if you all would be interested, but with k-pop specifically it would be SO worth it to react to the dance practices after watching the MV or hearing the track. Obviously I know yall are hear for the music, but the dance is also SUCH A BIG part of their overall performances and another factor that really sets these groups apart from most big pop/r&b/hip-hop stars... its not integral i guess but if you think about going to see concerts and live performances, its amazing how the dance really brings you into the music and the whole world they create :)

They don't share their royalty among 25 people, cause all of the sub-groups are working on their own. So just consider them as different groups. They only work together when there's a special project, which only happens like once every 2-5 years.
Their b-side tracks are so different from the title tracks. They have amazing songs in the Walk album like Raindrop, Pricey, and Can't help myself. Their discography is insane. Their b-sides are amazing so don't judge the whole album based on the title track with NCT127 lol they legit have songs in every genre
Yeah, SM Entertainment groups are the best at vocals. Even main rapers and main dancers must have a certain of vocal skills. Also, believe me each subgroup is making more than enough money. Since every subgroup goes on world tours , releases usually 2 albums a year and so on. For example, NCT Dream sold over 5 milion copies of their ISTJ album.
I think King Prime will love NCT 127 R&B songs!! Like "Can't Help Myself" from their new album, or "Crash Landing", "Time Lapse" and "Focus" Some of the best SM songs usually are produced by Dem Jointz, black american artist, amd his sound tag usually is at the beginning of the songs, you'll hear "Incomiiiiing!" and know that's him! AMAZING SONGS!!!! Like Time Lapse for example. Almost all SM groups pr soloists have songs by him. Another black american composer that works for SM a lot is Adrian McKinnon. NCT also has some songs from Dewain Whitmore Jr, Grammy awarded artist/composer! You are missing out if you don't go deeper into NCT

This song was a very different genre for these guys. If you want really good rapping from nct 127 you should listen to Fact check, Kick it, Skyscraper but if you want a little bit of nct 127 R&B I recommend Gold dust, 127 Time stops. I also recommend The NCT 127 Killing voice where they sing a compilation of their songs live. Highly recommend the killing voice by nct127 but also the exo one !!!! there is a very old video of all (20+)them (NCT) in 2020 called resonance also recommend. I do have to mention that in the resonance music video 4 members left the group in between 2020-2024 and 6 others got added in 2024

NCT127 is my fav group with XG! As a hip-hop and rnb lover, I didn’t find any other boy group that does rnb songs and harmonizing together like NCT127. You can check Intro : wall to wall (vocals and rap, sadly it’s just an intro song), Skyscraper (rap and vocals), Gold Dust (rnb) and Parade (experimental). The last 3 songs don’t have any MV, so maybe you can check the NCT127 Killing Voices.
Also, Jaehyun that you mention 9:32 is a rnb king as a soloist, so that’s why he was probably also mentioned in your comments. You should check his songs too : Smoke, and Dandelion & Roses (it’s actually 2 different songs but they made one mv for both).

These are my boys! They’re a heavy RnB and Hip Hop group BUT the MAIN thing to note with them is that their title tracks are very experimental so it’s best to not go in with an expectation on what you’re gonna hear.
Also they have a great rap line. Don’t let this song fool you on that lol. This wasn’t a rap heavy song.

NCT = NEO Culture Technology. Their trademark characteristic = experimentality and versatility…so no two tracks is ever the same. Each “sub-unit” has their own distinct flavor, charisma, personality and theme, so no it is NOT overkill as you will know when you react more to their discography.
As an example, NCT WayV (a.k.a. WayV) represents China so they promote mostly in mandarin, and they’re known to be the sub-unit with the sexiest tracks. NCT WISH members are the youngest which debuted not long ago and consist of mostly Japanese members. NCT DREAM was the youngest prior to WISH’s debut and many of their tracks and lyrics represent the youthful sentiments and dreams. MARK is Canadian (he lived in Toronto, Vancouver, New York) and JOHNNY is American (he’s from Chicago). both are Korean blood tho. that prolly explains the name. the members consist of 9 nationalities if i remember correctly.
and MARK LEE is one of the best rapper in Kpop industry nowadays (yup among all boys or girls), and most of kpop fans and the industry itself admits that. i suggest you to watch more NCT songs, they are one of a kind.
the sub-groups basically work just like 4 different groups, but every once in awhile they pick 1-2 members from each group to release a music that suit the lineup. we call it NCT U (United).

Okay, small & understandable introduction to NCT:
NCT has 25 members and is divided into units
Fixed units that work as if they were normal kpop groups:
- NCT 127: 8 members
- NCT dream: 7 members (Mark and Haechan are in both 127 and dream!!!)
- WayV: the chinese unit of nct, 6 members
- NCT wish: the japanese unit, 6 members
Special units:
- NCT U: "U" stands for united, it means that any of the 25 members can be in this unit it just depends on who fits the song/concept the best! So we always have different number of members and different combinations between all 25 members. This unit is mostly only used for "full group" comebacks (I'll explain in this in just a second)
- NCT Dojaejung: a trio unit composed of 3 members from nct 127 (Doyoung, Jaehyun and Jungwoo), they have so fare a mini album called "Perfume"
We currently have 2 members in the military: Taeyong & Jaehyun (both from nct127)
And in 2024 Taeil was kicked out of the group due to some disgusting things he did (FUCK TAEIL!!!)
Full group comebacks:
The whole of NCT have once a year or once every two years a full group comeback. This means that once a year all 25 members come together to do an album.
This album consists of songs from all units AND NCT U songs.
We've had so far:
- NCT 2018 "Empathy": at the time NCT only had 18 members
- NCT 2020 "Resonance": at the time NCT had 23 members
- NCT 2021 "Universe": at the time NCT had 23 members but 2 members didn't participate (Winwin was busy with other schedules and Lucas was on a break due to some serious allegations which later on led to him leaving the group in 2023)
- NCT 2023 "Golden Age": at the time NCT had 20 members. In 2023 3 members left the group: Lucas (as I said before), and Shotaro and Sungchan who were move to another group called Riize (Riize is NOT an nct unit, it's a completely different group!)
NCT 2023 was before NCT WISH debuted (they debuted in 2024)
ALSO, each unit has it's own leader and we also have a collective leader of the whole of NCT:
- Taeyong: he is the leader of NCT as a whole, and of NCT 127)
- Mark: NCT Dream leader (as I said at the beginning, he's in both 127 and dream)
- Kun: WayV leader
- Sion: NCT Wish leader
SO, TO RECAP:
- Total number of members: 25
- Divided into 4 FIXED UNITS (127, dream, wayv & wish) that work as normal individual kpop groups
- 2 SPECIAL UNITS (U & dojaejung): NCT U is a mix between all 25 members and dojaejung is a trio unit

Fact check: Taeil is still under investigation and hasn't been proven guilty yet. Let's not forget about the innocent until proven guilty principle ⚖️ it has been almost five months since the investigation started and he hasn't been detained yet due to lack of evidence (which says a lot). Taeil was one of the main vocals of NCT and his contribution to NCT legacy is immense. It would be nice to respect this.

In Walk, those good vocal parts that you liked are him (also Doyoung and Haechan - main vocals too). If you continue to dive into NCT's discography you'll hear Taeil a lot. He's really good.

Nct127 is my favorite kpop group! I don’t pay too much attention to the other units because their musical style is a bit different. 127 has amazing b-sides so all my favorite songs from them are album cuts rather than their title tracks. You can pick any of their albums since 2 baddies and they don’t have any skips.

Hey guys, I definitely agree that male K-groups are behind in rapping atm, and it's been like that for a while. SM is especially known to not have the best rappers-- that is, until Mark and Taeyong came around in NCT (they are both in 127; Mark rapped in this, but Taeyong is in the military rn). They are starting to get some better rappers now. I'd say this track is nowhere close to Mark and Taeyong's full rapping ability and would love to see what you think of their other tracks! A lot of people have said that this is one of NCT 127's tamest title tracks, and I agree with that. I suggest listening to 2 Baddies, Kick It, Cherry Bomb, Simon Says, Sit Down, Limitless, and Fire Truck. I think you'll find Taeyong to be a really unique rapper :) God bless!

6:13 as y’all where mentioning west coast vines and all, the demo was created by G-unit a east coast rap group with members consisting of 50 Cent, Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks. Also, on the topic of girl group rappers better then boy group rappers, it mostly depends because some girl group don’t have strong rappers and others do, same with boy groups, some have good rappers and others don’t. NCT has some good rappers but it really depends on personal preference. ‘Walk’ is considered not as Neo as other tittle tracks because it’s more tame lmao, but I definitely recommend Cherry Bomb, Fact Check and b sides like Whiplash and Skyscraper.

the full group projects are Golden Age, Ressonance(even tho its more of a remix), Beautifull and Black on Black(idk what they thought when they split the lines like this but whatever), they also have NCT U which mixes members from diferent units

I'm not sure if you all would be interested, but with k-pop specifically it would be SO worth it to react to the dance practices after watching the MV or hearing the track. Obviously I know yall are hear for the music, but the dance is also SUCH A BIG part of their overall performances and another factor that really sets these groups apart from most big pop/r&b/hip-hop stars... its not integral i guess but if you think about going to see concerts and live performances, its amazing how the dance really brings you into the music and the whole world they create :)

NCT is an acronym for Neo Culture Technology. The Neo of their name speaks to their music being the most experimental, future forward, different and diverse. They have members from Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, USA and Canada. The group is under SM Entertainment SK. Their fandom name is NCTzen (meaning all the fans are citizens of NCT).

They don't share their royalty among 25 people, cause all of the sub-groups are working on their own. So just consider them as different groups. They only work together when there's a special project, which only happens like once every 2-5 years.

Their b-side tracks are so different from the title tracks. They have amazing songs in the Walk album like Raindrop, Pricey, and Can't help myself. Their discography is insane. Their b-sides are amazing so don't judge the whole album based on the title track with NCT127 lol they legit have songs in every genre
Yeah, SM Entertainment groups are the best at vocals. Even main rapers and main dancers must have a certain of vocal skills.
Also, believe me each subgroup is making more than enough money. Since every subgroup goes on world tours , releases usually 2 albums a year and so on. For example, NCT Dream sold over 5 milion copies of their ISTJ album.
I think King Prime will love NCT 127 R&B songs!! Like "Can't Help Myself" from their new album, or "Crash Landing", "Time Lapse" and "Focus"
Some of the best SM songs usually are produced by Dem Jointz, black american artist, amd his sound tag usually is at the beginning of the songs, you'll hear "Incomiiiiing!" and know that's him! AMAZING SONGS!!!! Like Time Lapse for example. Almost all SM groups pr soloists have songs by him. Another black american composer that works for SM a lot is Adrian McKinnon. NCT also has some songs from Dewain Whitmore Jr, Grammy awarded artist/composer!

To be fair the concept is a bit overwhelming but it's best to treat each sub unit as their own group since they are usually keeping to their own groups as well as they each have their own sound
Usually the fans have a preference on which group's sound they like best but we support all the groups under NCT umbrella
You rarely see all of them together but they collaborate together sometimes as a whole or for a project under NCT U so it is kind of fun to see them interact together as a fan
