Great video ! I have been going since the early 80's. Most of that time in Box c99 and c100. This year I am box c112. Aviation is my life, A&P mechanic by profession pilot by passion.
I'm a long time motorsport fan planning on the inaugural Roswell air race in 2025. Great orientation video I really appreciate it as things are a bit simpler scoring wise on four wheels.
I've been going to the races for 30 years. We have stayed at pretty much every casino. My preference is the Peppermill or the Grand Seirra. Just my two cents.
Another excellent and informative video. I sincerely wish it wasn’t your last one. It's going to be very hard to leave once it's all finished but for this year, plan on more racing than ever!
Thanks for posting such a well crafted and informative video! It inspired me to buy tickets as it’s been on my bucket list and I can’t wait to get out there…I’ll be sure to say hi 🙏🏼✊🏻🤟🏼
It’s true, they’re not. It would block views for people behind. The nice thing in the boxes tho is you can bring more comfortable chairs and an umbrella. But yea, no inherent shade. :(
Wonder what the hunt for a new venue looks like right now? I'm ready for a new location. Sounds like Reno wants to keep then but lots of needs to be met.
Cant thank you enough! This is my first year out there, aside from media pass and pit pass, where’s the best place in your opinion to film. I see a ton of people standing in that field in your video. Is that public or special requirements needed for that as well?
Thanks for the informative video Brian. First time to the races, been wanting to go for decades and as this is the last one at this location we decided to go. Got pit passes, general admission, and grandstand seating for the 15, 16, and 17th. It's going to be awesome. I have a 500 mm lens on my DSLR, should I be able to get good photos from the stands? Are there other places to get photos of the aircraft in the air?
Yep from the stands you should be able to get some good shots. The other place is along the K rails in the pits as well. There’s a group of folks that has some places they like to set up behind the course but I haven’t looked much into them. Those with a press pass can get access to the pylons but those are exceedingly difficult to get.
You know, grandstand seating includes general admission. Hope you didn't buy both. As for getting the best picture shots, the photographers standing near the pylons will always get the best shots. Too bad it's restricted to us.
It was! Microsoft flight sim released a reno pack. I have a hard time recommending it tho because of the cost. If you get the bare minimum it’s probably worth it for die hard race fans tho.
I i’ve been dying to go To one of these races but the problem is I have no idea where Reno is I get. But it is in Nevada but I’m in Florida not sure how long will that take but it might be worth it I really want to see voodoo p 51
step 1: sit in Section 3. Not only for the party but the Section 3 stands are always in a good spot almost directly straight in front of the home pylon. Also we're getting the big huge stands this year again instead of the tiny one seen in the video so theres plenty of room to join us goofballs Also is the biplane class actually racing this year? Didn't they decide to pull out of the races a couple months ago?
@sonicrose8430 whoops sorry, I meant should I bother with reserved? I'm only there two days so I think we're doing standard and pit passes. Might do box seating one day. Thanks for your help!
@@figit090 id recommend buying tickets early if you can cause early this year when tickets went live they were selling so freaking crazy the site was going down from traffic so there could be a possibility of a ''sell out'' situation when the massive crowd comes in that buys tickets at the gate. Ive never heard of them having a capacity limit on general admission but ive also never seen the tickets sell this crazy before
I'm glad that this last year was the last year as I would have never gone again. Out of 20 times going to the RAR, this was easily the most BORING of them all. Almost no between race entertainment, No F Type fighter jet flybys, not C Type cargo plane demonstrations, not even the traditional skydivers with trailing American flags for the opening ceremonies. As if that were not enough, they have almost doubled the admission fees. If they ever bring the races back, I will not go!

Living on the airport where the air show is definitely interesting, well right next to it. Definitely enjoy the jets
Thanks for the vid. Always been on the bucket list. Got a trip booked this year and Im so excited I cant see straight.

Absoluty amazing video and channel , I subscribed just now, greattings from Spain.
Thanks for this Brian - great information. Will keep an eye out for you at the event!
Thank you for creating this video! I was just about to purchase box seats as I was told they would be shaded, but I see now that they are not!

@@Brian.Murray completely makes sense! Wishful thinking for shade 😊 Are you not allowed to bring chairs if you are not in box seats?
Nicely done!!!! I've been to the last 3 and I'll get to this one in '23 too. I really hope it stays.
Probably not, city of Reno approved too much housing for the area for it to be safe. On top of the expensive insurance :/
@@tori4493 another one bites the dust...
Awesome job thanks 👍

Hey Brain, when you come up this year, give me a message when you parking at Atlantic. Lets meet up!

It’s on the north side of Nevada, near California. It’s not a terribly long flight there, or a few days drive.
@@Brian.Murray i’m definitely going to try to attend it this year by car I can’t wait to see all the racing planes in the middle class
