Ordered same 2025 JCW Countryman yesterday but in Smoke Green and black trim. Currently driving ‘21 version which is a lot of fun too.
Also owner of various minis since 2002. Love the brand and the JCW brings out the personality in these cars.
Love the enthusiasm! Gotta correct a few things. The new Countryman isn’t anywhere near 5,000 lbs. It’s 3,800 lbs. in JCW guise, which is only slightly heavier than the outgoing F60 Cooper S ALL4. Also, it’s not actually that big. It’s almost identical in all exterior dimensions to a Subaru Crosstrek (the new Countryman is actually a couple inches shorter in length than the Crosstrek). And I don’t think anyone would ever consider the Crosstrek to be a big vehicle.
Nice car, cool tech - but no interest whatsoever. Hard to connect this big guy with the brand that we all know and love. Going to hold onto my 2006 R53s!
Been a fan of the new MINIs since launch and still miss my ‘03 but sadly they’ve lost me. My 2020 Clubman S is probably my last.
OK, I’m a Mini Countryman fan, but also a Cadillac XT4 fan…the Mini is only slightly smaller by 3 to 4 inches…just like it is to its cousin the BMW X1. You know people can just google and look up car dimensions and see if people know what they’re talking about. Facts matter!!!
when you turn your wheel while backing up the camera turns
I love boomers when they drive like maniacs in a residential area!!! Nice video
The new styling is actually great looking, especially in the JCW trim. But the infotainment and lack of switches, toggles, gear shifter, and non JCW trims multi color dash / door panels are too quirky and lack driver interaction. Hopefully when MINI does a refresh they will at least correct the lack of switches and toggles. Just for that I wouldn't buy one. I'd find the previous gen still new or CPO on dealer lots.
I wonder what the younger drivers will think? Lots of MINI from the first generations barking about the changes. 2024 guys and gals, I am with the driver. WOOHOO. hit that Mario Kart and lets roll.
It’s a very harsh bumpy ride because the suspension is set far too firm. I like the exterior and interior but could never buy one because of the terrible harsh ride…😢
So many Debbie Downers
Right?!?! 🙄
I think naming a car is stupid.
Thank you so much!
Wait until goes something wrong al that elctronics.......
The gen 3 Mini fixed all the issues back in 2016. It is now one of the most reliable cars on the road. You didn't know this???
@@bigmacdaddy1234 More reliable then INFINITI.... You don't know cars......
@MichaelDebono What are you talking about? As far as modern cars go, the MINI is fairly conservative with its electronics. Lexus and other brands are far more electronics heavy. And as already stated, the Countryman F60 (2017-2024) has been one of the most reliable new vehicles out there.
So sad and disappointing, from the Suzuki Swift front and overwhelming touch electronics to the general non authenticity. No longer a Mini
Sorry simple not a NINI<
No matter how you dress them up..
I love all the "it's not a Mini" whining and crying. News flash... no car in existence today is the same as it was 50 years ago. Every new model brings with it the same moaning and groaning. lol
AGREE!!! Thank you we have lots of 50 year old minis and we love them but thank God the new MINI is not like those :)
No panoramic roof, lame....
You can spec it with one. They're not great in terms of insulation, maintenance, or safety so it's down to you if you want it.
Too many electronics and connected BS to fix.
No more a Mini than a fake Rolex is a Rolex
Its not a mini, call it what u want but it doesn't reflect the original what so ever. For the money you could have something much better
You're missing the point; the Mini concept is the maximum size on the inside and minimum size on the outside. You Yanks need to learn.
i don't know why peope keep saying that. it actually resembles the original mini in a lot of ways. the interior with the single round clock. the buttons in the center with the key in the middle. the minimalistic interior. suprisingly the driving feel is also really stiff and planted like a real mini
@@DutchDukeMan You clearly know nothing about a real mini then?
@@Polecat54941Mini maximises its real estate by being box shaped. If it was still the size of the original Countryman, no one would buy one, trust me. Do you think if BMW's next 3 series, or VW's next Golf, were the same sizes as the originals, that there would be any commercial viability of them at all?
Grow or die. Thats the way of nature. Even the Porsche 911 grew in proportion from the earlier models.
Hate the new style mini's coz their only Mini by name. They lost everything that makes mini's unique, they just look like any other car on the road. Classic mini is the only true mini 🧐
7 speed auto isn't anything I'd get excited about. That thing is enormous. That's a hideous interior. Shame on Mini. Horrid. Who wants a Mini that drives itself?!
