In this video we go over the functional operation of the Mercedes W126 Headlamp adjustment mechanisms, RR the headlamp assembly and lastly perform basic beam adjustments for the headlamp and parking lamp.
A neighbor of mine had one of these S class mercedes, I think it was an 89, and he never knew where the fog lights were. I pointed them out to him, and he said he thought they were his brights. I had him look at them with the fog light switch on and off.
They are actually supposed to give you a wider light pattern so you see the sides of the roadway better in fog and heavy rain or snow.
Have a hot cup of tea, some vitamin C and curl up in bed and get better my friend.
Thanks Werner !
I adjusted them and still couldn’t see so i bought euro glass headlights that look WAY better on the w126 and easy installation.
My apologies for not understanding the term “crud” in your community post the other day!
Get well soon!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Btw, some led conversion bulbs are in warm white and they do look stock with extra brightness and consume about 1/2 the power the halogens consume.
Are they half the price too? 😁
@@ImpalamansGarage i paid about 20$ per pair.
My 123 and 126 both had the Euro headlights when I bought them. Loved the look.
If you like the look of those stock headlights but want to improve them a little, you can get the unsealed versions from Hella or Marchal. They'd use either H4 or H7 bulbs. 55/65w low/high is a good combination. If you really wanted some nicer light, go 80/100. You should keep the fog lights a bit lower. They're meant to be low and wide for inclement conditions.
Have a hot toddie and feel better Boo Boo.
Every time I watch your MB videos they give me another project for my W124….
I need to adjust my headlights on my vw bug also. It on the list.
I have a pair of them if your interested
