@huntinfool_offical a lot of us guys from out of state have absolutely no idea where to start with this topic. I have been an avid outdoorsman and hunted of all types of species my entire life. But when it comes to the tag/draw system in Colorado, it seems very complex. In many states like Texas, you simply purchase a license, and you can go hunt any national forest area during season. My license is good for whitetale deer (buck or doe) anywhere in Texas. They make the dates and what you can and can't shoot very clear and easy to understand. Not so simple in Colorado. As already stated, this needs to be dumbed down and explained like you were teaching someone for the first time. For instance, does someone "need" to enter the lottery system? Or can I just purchase an out of state tag? Or is there even an out of state tag, or is it the same for everyone. I don't understand the points system, or even if its applicable to me. I don't understand the group application. I couple ask 2 dozen questions because theres simply no where to find a definitive answer and explanation. Even after reading tons of literature it's still confusing. Please help break this all down so we can understand it.
I think the tag system is way too overcomplicated. Needs to have a simpler setup. I have researched the tag purchasing process for this state for years and still dont understand it
my military career brought me here and this draw business in Colorado is very confusing. Coming from Michigan, this business is very confusing with list A, B, C and the numbering system !!! I dont think there are any 2 GMU numerically side by side ............ very strange indeed
