I’m so glad I came across your video. I’m almost 50. And I’ve always thought about being a hair stylist ever since I was young but started working and just continued the career path I was on. Fast forward 23 years and I lost my job due to down sizing. Found a new one but in the meantime considered cosmetology school again. 3 years into my new job I’m happy and enjoy it but I’m STILL considering cosmetology school. Your video is giving me more confidence to look into it. 😊
Omg so sorry to hear about you loosing your job! So happy for you that you found a new one though! Cosmetology is for EVERYONE no matter what age you are! Go for it and do what will make you happy

WE ARE THE SAME PERSON I went to school for a year and a half to be an Xray tech. Hated every second. Knew from the start I wanted to go to cosmetology school and now I’m starting January 19. So happy I found your page :)!

Me too, I’m currently a year and a half into college and have to finish the next half of this he in college. I realize it’s not right for me and am hoping into cosmetology school after summer !

Did you learn extensions at TG? / do they offer a class for it?
@@emilydyson374 they don’t offer hair extension classes but they do offer eyelash extension classes but unfortunately due to covid I was unable to take the lash class

I am going to cosmetology school and it’s stressful at times! Please do a video on how to stay motivated in cosmetology school. And I just finished one length and going into square layers...

It still feels kinda awkward being an odd one out being a guy since there’s usually barely any men 😬😭 and I’m about to graduate high school in a few months ion think I’m ready to stand out like that 😣😭😭
Omg don’t feel stressed about being a guy in cosmetology school. There were like 5-6 guys in my school and everyone loved them!

@@eldeporahi6792 my class only had 4 people :/ but there were multiple classes just in different phases
My school is a career center with different careers in the building. I started cosmetology for the spring semester. I go half the year at my high school and half they year at the career center. I’m a level 1 as a sophomore. Juniors are normally level 2 and Seniors are level 3. It may very situation because the school is very competitive.

My zone (phase) that I’m in now is state board practice but for us, after we still do skin and nails which is weird that it’s not last for us?? Love youuuu and love your success 💕💕

Wow i loved this so much! Ive been watching these type of videos all day long and every single other video is nothing but cons and why they dont think it was worth it. I think it is what you make it and your determination. But i also do know that all schools teach different so maybe you just got really lucky? Lol
Can you do a video of you taking clients experience "story time" did u know what you were doing? Did the instructor keep their eyes out? Did u get educated well enough to take clients or did they just place u because they said so? Give me the deets ❤
I am currently in my first semester of college for medical imaging. There has not been a single day I have not cried, and I have no interest in the medical field whatsoever. I have been thinking about attending cosmetology school HOWEVER I don't know anything about styling hair or doing makeup, I just find it interesting. Were there people with no experience / knowledge about cosmetology?
That was me girl!!!! I also knew only alittle about hair and alittle of makeup but I have learned so much! You don’t need to have hair knowledge to go! Thats what the school is for
do they teach you how to make hair products in cosmetology school for men and women? or atleast like the basics of hair products and how they're made?
They dont teach us how to make them but they teach us how to use them

Yes finish highschool and go right to cosmetology school!

a lot of schools are just cosmetology schools! so you attend, and then when you complete your hours, you take the state test to get your license. :)

Going into the school are you required to know things? Or do they have an interview process in order to get accepted into it?
You have to take a standardized written test to get accepted and you need your high-school diploma! The test is SUPER easy and then you’re in’

Mine was $19,000
would i be able to do lashes if i were to go to Toni&Guy and get my cosmetology license?
Lashes is separate! Toni&Guy did offer classes but I wasn’t able to take them because of covid and I left once they started doing them
