*AH!! THE NOSTALGIA!* i remember playing supermario64 on my aunts nintendo before i owned my own. It would always freeze as soon as i would beat king Bob-omb but i didn't really care (also cuz i was so young i thought it was the end of the game xD). I have so many memories of just playing that awesome level. Thanks Qumu for the amazing music and thanks for reviving memories in me!

I really enjoy the way the 'bridge'-like section (before the chorus repeats, like from :48 to 1:02) is very connected and the percussion punches through. A lot of remixes just go for massive syncopation but this is a really inspired take on it. I found even more of a high-energy feel from this interpretation than I felt with the original track. That's pretty special in my eyes, as the original soundtrack was a masterpiece. The counter melody after 1:05 was just sublime, and the track goes off into space in all the best possible ways. It was even cooler to see that syncopation that others would use, but instead placed across the beginning melody only (like 2:04-2:18). Every change to the style in this piece leads seamlessly into the next and not one element feels misplaced. This outro. I'm speechless. Some day I'll find a track of yours that doesn't blow my mind. Thanks for giving us such amazing stuff to listen to!
My experience with Super Mario 64 comes from the DS version. I used to play it at lunch while my friend (who had the original on his Wii) talked me through the levels. One of my FGOATs. Looking forward to trying the original on Switch.
