Argentina makes foreigners (it doesn't matter from what continent) become argentinians, just like that. It's magic, it's a social, cultural, spiritual phenomenon...we may say an epiphany that happens just in an only one place in the whole universe..
I cried with this video. Must say is one of my favorites in the channel ❤ she’s lovely, a proud mom of her son ❤. No matter the age, mom is mom 🥹❤ nothing like mothers ❤
Encantadora tu mom. Esperamos los videos de tus nuevos viajes 😢❤❤
Nice experiences. Aeroparque (the domestic airport of Buenos Aires) is near the coast of Rio de la Plata. It's so wide that you may confuse and believe is a sea. But it has sweet water. The Eco Parque is the former zoo of Buenos Aires, founded by President Sarmiento in the second half of 19th century. The animals were kept in buildings in the style of their countries or regions of origin. Now most exotic animals have been transferred to sanctuaries. Today most of the animals in the Eco Parque are from Argentina, like the mara, the patagonian hare, and the ñandúes, the small american ostriches. The first animal you didn't know what it was is a nutria o coipo. It lives in watery terrains but is not a beaver, because their habitat is the plains, without trees. Japan is a great friend of Argentina since the start of the XX century when Argentina sold two big ships to Japan that urgently needed ships to win the Russian-Japanese war. Since then there is a friendship between the two countries. The Argentine-Japanese Association keeps which is believed the biggest Japanese Garden outside Japan. Puerto Madero was the first port of Buenos Aires but soon was deactivated due to the bigger ships. It was abandoned for many years but then there was a project to convert the warehouses in apartments and offices. Now is one of the more expensive neigbourhoods in Buenos Aires with several big skyscrappers on the other side of the docks. Further from Plaza de Mayo you may find the Natural Reserve, something very strange being only 10 blocks from downtown. The Paraná Delta is one of the biggest in the world with the special condition of being outside the tropical zone. The wooden boat are calle "lanchas colectivas" and work like the buses in a city. They have specific routes along different waterways and the houses even have numbers like in any street. The Puerto de Frutos (frutos and not frutas) means that is the port of products, not fruits. Many decades ago the Delta was a production zone of fruits, wood, lumber, willow/wicker, honey. Then in several economic crisis most of the activities disappeared and the port remain almost abandoned. Now is commercial mall mainly oriented to artisans and home decor. Tigre is the main center for rowing clubs, with some of them of the inmigrant comunities (English, German, Italian, Norwegian). Some of the clubs have impressive club houses. And there is a tradition of mantaining the old wooden pleasure boats while sportmen use the competition ones. We eat almost everything of a cow. The "entraña" is part of the muscle of the diaphragm ot the cow. It wasn't a usual cut, but in recent years has more acceptance. The most usual cuts in an asado is "tira de asado" which are the ribs of the animal but cut horizontally, making a stripe of meat with pieces of different ribs, and the vacío, which is part of the torax of the animal, because its the meat outside the ribs below the hide. As you can see in the video, icecream in Argentina is not sold by balls but as much as you can put in the cone or vase. And we also buy it by quarter, half or complete kilogram. In that case it will be weighted. It's a traditional dessert in family and friends gatherings. You should try Dulce de Leche granizado (Milk jam (it's NOT caramel) with chocolate sparks). The Museo de Arte Tigre (MAT) building was a social club, then a Casino, and finally it was bought by the city government to become the art museum.
Hi Ryan, what a special episode we got to share with you. So nice to see your Mom visiting and joining you in Torii. And how Patti connected immediately with your Mom, amazing. Turn all the emotions of those day in to strength to keep going on your journey. You are a special kind of human. Wish you all the best from Aruba🇦🇼
Omg your mum leaving was so sad. I really loved everything you managed to do with her in such a short time. She's so cool. I was in tears for a lot of this video, Argentina is so beautiful. I'm an Argentinian living in Australia for 45 years. I've only visited Argentina on 3 occasions for a total of 3 months. Wish I had travelled more in my youth, I'm going to show this to my daughter and her boyfriend maybe this will encourage them to travel my amazing country of birth.
Cuidate colo, y volvé pronto a verla. Abrazo!!
They are no rabbits , they are liebres " Maras" native rodent from Argentina. Great video Ryan ! so proud of you doing this huge trip, but if you were my grandson I will panic, lovely to see El Tigre after more than 55 years...
That's not an ocean! It's not oceanside, it's riverside because that is el Rio de la Plata, not an ocean. The Ecoparque used to be a Zoo and they closed it but some animals are hard to relocate.
La Plata isn't really a micro city lol It has almost 1 million inhabitants. It's just that being right next to Buenos Aires, which has 15 million inhabitants, it looks and feels tiny by comparison. By the way, I studied biology in the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the National University of La Plata, which the museum you visited is a part of. It was nice seeing you showcase it to an international audience since I spent so many years visiting it. Also, that "ostrich" mate is acctually of ñandu (rhea in English). It's a giant flightless bird native to Argentina which is related to ostriches and emus. I'm guessing the girl thought you wouldn't understand what a ñandu is and so she told you the closest thing, sinces ñandues are also known as South American ostriches. If you travel north to places like Corrientes province you'll see plenty of wild rheas on the side of the road.

Anyway, I'm glad you showed off a bit of Tigre; I think it's a blessing we porteños have, an hour-long train ride and you're off the madness of the city and into that gorgeous, slow-paced, brown river paddling. I've been in love with the place since I was a kid and my dad brought the family there to row and chill and be in touch with nature... Safe travels on Uruguay and around! We love you, mate.
Beautiful woman your Mom, and so young ! I understand your feelings, my daughter is living in Europe, I want her to be happy but I misssss her a lot. I hope you two ENJOY our dear Argentina you´re always welcome !!!
La Plata...what a sad town...everytime i go there...is so old...and so many sad vibes....dont know why...and your moms tears at the end and the audio....omg....im speechless....hope she can come to argentina back again and stay more...same you! Cheers from Vicente Lopez!
Bienvenido a Uruguay!
great video of walks with your mother... thank you very much for showing our country... the farewell to your mother is very exciting... your mother is the best thing in the world friend... thank you for loving Argentina so much... I hope you are enjoying great greetings from the province of Buenos Aires
Great that you and your mum had a lovely time in BA and got to spend time in Tigre. Love that place. I got emotional for you guys at the end of the video; felt for both you and your mum saying goodbye to each other.
The ending hit me, I'd cry too if either of my parents come to visit me after a long journey. Happy to see you and your mom spend time together and wind down in Buenos Aires before you continue on and get to Uruguay. I'm glad you two had fun. 😁

Totally! From what we saw, Patti seemed to understand that this was a special person of Ryan’s. Dogs sense much more than we can….

It feels rather small to me. Like the main area of the city is not that large. It’s mostly just suburbs and residential houses everywhere.
