Totally inspired me to do the same type of video. I just gutted out my cats on bank 1 and 2. I have resonators and axle back mufflers but we sound very similar. But I do have the 3rd cat delete that is a third muffle for the gs400 on my gs430. Great video and can't wait to see more!!

Also, what dimeter pipe exhaust you would recommend? Also, adding 2 mufflers will it help with back pressure or you recommend deleting the mufflers? - forget about the sound. Sounds awesome! I run 2.25” mandrel bent and that’s as large as I’d go unless I cross 350whp which I won’t. I run Total Flow mufflers now to quiet it down. I hope that helps! GL with your classic!
@@thaieralawadh2223 oh I’d love to. The ring lands cannot take much past 7psi though and 7psi with a supercharger will get you right to about 350-360whp. Still not bad considering these are around 240whp stock. 😎
G Garrett good question. Because I did it in phases I didn’t notice any low-end loss. However, with intake I did notice it. By keeping the stock diameter the loss should be very minimal with exhaust alone. People really notice low-end loss when they go too big on the pipe size and remove the cats.

Thanks! Highway noise from exhaust is virtually imperceptible with this config. I couldn’t even measure it. Wind noise is louder. Once you go with a slight throttle input the exhaust sound becomes a distant hum. I hope that helps!
The exhaust shop had them. They are slanted 3” double-walled. If I could do it again I would go bigger, like 3.5” or 4” - it just fills the bumper openings better.
I know a isf is on the way for you. I've been searching for a gsf. So hard to find. But now I'm looking at a new property so I might just have to stay with the ol gs430 for a while and get a super charger and ppe headers
UNDER FUNDED GARAGE GSF’s are amazing. Would love one of those. The ISF’s are so freaking expensive but the GSF’s are way more. I cannot justify selling my car for $4K and dropping $20-$24K on an ISF with 120K + miles, as amazing as they are. So, my goal is to get this thing tuned and at 275whp w/o headers. We’ll see. AEM AFR goes in next!
@@ForwardMomentum have you looked into obx headers yet? Half the cost of ppe headers. I hear the fitmint on the gs430 has a bit of an issue with clearing the rack. With a shim it works. But I hear the gs400 doesn't have this issue. I might just get a set. I've seen them on Amazon but there isn't any now.
@@ForwardMomentum I definitely am looking forward to that. I want to do the same. Indo have a apexi throttle controller installed and I cant tell you enough to get one. The drive by wire on our cars leaves alot to be desired when it comes to throttle response and power delivery.
UNDER FUNDED GARAGE I won’t dismiss the idea of headers but it’s going to be a while. Even if PPE gave me some I would dread the R&R, and that’s coming from someone who has tackled some crazy stuff over the years. Clutches, cams, trannies, headers on my old supercharged 5VZFE 4Runner...man that sucked. Married with kids changes things. LOL
I have the same setup but deleted my rear mufflers and went straight pipe to Camaro tips. I wanted more growl. I’d like to get that K&N but i won’t hear that intake sound lol.
I would prefer mine a little louder. But I have to pass inspection here, thus two mufflers are required. I may go with bullets in the future which would be very loud and pass inspection.

I have a gs430 on my channel and I have installed a ls430 megan y pipe that deletes the 3rd cat on our gs430. Cool thing is no need for a defouler on a o2 sensor. I also have just punched out my bank 1 and bank 2 cats. But I have a top speed mid pipes section attached to my uprd axle back exhaust. Super stoked on the sound. Hard to believe it's a no cat car. But I cant see it with gutted cats and no resonators or mufflers.

Oh man hate to break it to you but the facelift (what year is your car) has the cheaper exhaust. Do some research before you start telling someone off on their own channel. Of course your car doesn't have dual exhaust. It doesn't sound close to as good as mine did either and I only spent $200 modifying the exhaust.

Kevin Washington I am not sure if TorqueMaster plugs are still around, but those apparently gave measurable gains on the dyno. I personally went with OEM plugs, PN 90919-01210. Gap is .044.
M Medley I think it’s a combo. I did this in stages so the “butt dyno” was impossible to feel. If I did it all at once I would have noticed a little gain.
M Medley that’s fair. I can tell you this: my exhaust mods with full intake make the car run lean. I will be installing an AEM AFR next to show just how lean, then I will install an AFC/tuner and dyno it. The AFC can gain 25whp and 25+ TQ!
Never raced one but I doubt it. On a perfect launch I’m at about a 5.1 0-60 and 14.1-14.3 1/4 mile. An STi with a hard launch should be 4.5ish. Also, the STi top speed is 174. My car is 150.

I did the muffler delete on my 400 and love it. The shop will only charge me 100 more to delete the cats and resonators...I might just do it

Forward Momentum cool. Mine is pretty loud but has settled over the year and i’ve gotten used to it. Looking forward to more videos.
The y-pipe ruins the sound for me. Gotta be true dual with an h-pipe.
