Thank you Rob, I was blessed with a beautiful Gen 1 that I got to do a dream ride home from Montana, and then I was able to do an unbelievable score on this loaded Gen 2 without breaking the bank. It will be great to see you back on the bike when your better.
VW !!! - That is an awesome bike for sure. So happy for you, and with all those mods - You don't have to do anything, other than the small stuff you mentioned. Did I see 87 on the speedo "Mr. Hot-Rodder" !!! 🙂
I’m sure what you saw was kilometers not mph 🙄🤣 the motor on these Vstrom’s are nothing short of amazing. You will have to take it for a spin sometime. All the extra’s and it being a Gen 2 for less than a Gen 1 made it worth the long drive and letting go of the beautiful Gen 1 I had just picked up in Montana. I’m trying to catch up on videos this should have been out weeks ago.
Awesome bike, and great video! Thank you for taking the time. I'll hopefully be picking up a 2014 in the next week or two. A step up (hopefully) from my DR650 I sold last fall. I've never ridden a Vstrom, so it'll be a new venture. Safe travels 🙏
Congratulations on the new bike, DR650 is a great machine but the Vstrom comes into its own for longer highway trips and light off-roading. The Vstrom has such a smooth and powerful engine that makes it a joy to ride. There is a reason it is still being produced. Thank you.
Vstrom is a great bike, from what I have heard they easily go 80k-100k miles with minimal maintenance. My Vstrom will probably out last me. Good luck on your search.
I'm searching too. Gen 3 look so good but the price of the Gen 1-2 is unbeatable. What kinda prices are they going for in your area? Seems here in Oregon a Gen 1 is about $4-5k with 30k+ miles and a Gen 2 is $5-6k with 20k+ miles.
I use to say the same thing about the beak. Then I was looking for another gen2 vstrom after selling the one in the video. And a great deal happened on a gen 3 vstrom with a beak. So o hot use to it. I can’t see it when I ride 🤣 Thanks for watching, have fun with the 2015 gen 2 Vee650
VW! It is so good to see you out on the V-Strom! They really are great bikes. You scored big with this one. With all of the accessories and low miles, there is not much left to modify. When you make it out here next year, you will have to take the 1050 for a spin. I am consistently impressed with the smooth power of the motor. Looks like you had quite the enjoyable first ride on the V. Great video Brother! Cheers!
DOC !!! How are you my friend. This was the day after the marathon drive to Calie and back, Ugg! What a long but a rewarding trip to pick up the Gen2 Vee650. It was truly a blessing and a great score. Me? Riding your beautiful Screaming yellow flash? That would be awesome. I am looking forward to coming out next year. I hope that you have been getting out, fall is right around the corner. Take care great to hear from you.
@@verbalwidget0919 Yes Sir! I was visit family this past week and I am ready for some seat time. Spot on about Fall being around the corner. It will be nice to have it cool down some for riding and camping. The Yellow Flash will be available for you when you get here! Have a great on Brother!!! Cheers!

@@verbalwidget0919 sounds right up my alley 👍🏼. In my case, highway to get to the light off-road. Thanks again!
I'm considering getting a V-Strom if I can find one fairly cheap.

I hate a beak on a bike. I just bought a 2015 yesterday. Very nice quality bike.
