Charlie and Bill absolutely drive this song. Just crush it. RIP Mr. Watts. Bravo, good sir.
🎉
one of the few under-rated stones classics. great song.
I 👍 agree
How about Highwire?
most rolling stones songs are danceable this is one thing that separates them from other bands like say the Beatles....the Stones always had a groove from Around and Around to Living in a Ghost Town...they got down!!!
One of my favorite Stones records. I love the groove of this one. Jagger rocks stage to pieces.
Really good example of what Bill Wyman gave the Stones. Jones is good, but Wyman just had a style of his own. Had that rolling sound the Motown bass players always seemed to have.
I can't believe this song never makes their g/h collections. It got played on the radio alot back in the 80's & IMHO, it's one of their catchiest & most exciting songs ever.
This song suffered with the backlash against disco type songs. Shame 'cause it's such an awesome jam.
Probably more relevant today than 30 yrs ago when recorded
One of my favorites
@@t.b.player7102 Disco was history in '89 , besides what is the connection between this song and Disco?
@@SwampEye1
Many music writers took note of the few rock bands that tried to do a song or two with a disco beat. KISS with I Was Made For Loving You, and The Stones Rock and a Hard Place were just a couple mentioned. The flow, particularly the bass line put in the disco type category. Don't get me wrong, imo good songs are good songs and Rock and a Hard Place is one of my all time favorite Stones songs.
One of my fav Rolling Stones songs! It stayed on the MTV top 10 charts back in 89!
So relevant today.
Fuckin great best performance ever
Mick dancing and powerful singing
Incredible live stage presence
Never realized, because if their usual style, that Bill had such a smooth groove on that base. Great song that showcased him.
OMG what a performance...that groove.
There is a reason the Stones hold the coveted title of The Greatest Rock-n-Roll Band Ever.
Actually, that's the who.
@@cloudfactory2000 Anyway, after such a long 60 year existence in 2022, the Stones are beyond Rock and Roll. They created a class of their own and they are alone to play in it.
@@lust4bass ,the who are still the greatest
Yeah relztrah. Hi from Argentina
A brilliant live song, when played full on
RIP Charlie
One of my favorite songs of the Stones.
I saw Steel Wheels in Clemson, SC and echo the same comments!
For those with headphones, Keith is playing some really nice runs, especially towards the end.
As relevant today as it was in February 1990...maybe more so! One of Jagger and Richard's best!
The band is not only playing, "smoking hot" they look it too!!! Such a commanding presence!!! Good song,I remember this getting play time on the radio.
An overlooked classic by the Rolling Stones. The 80s was not their best decade, but this is probably one of their best 80s songs (Start me up was written in the 70s, mind you).
One of the best front-man ever.
Always liked this song this is a great version
One of my absolute favorites!
I love this song 🎵 ❤️, definitely a true statement, cause we all have been caught between a rock and a hard place 🎉🎉Mick, and the stones are hitting on all cylinders tonight.
This song does not get enough credit!!! GREAT Tune!
Me gustaría escuchar el tema Baila Hermanita, esta en el L P eso es solo Rock and Roll . GRACIAS! POR TANTO!
What a great tour that was. I saw them twice in D.C. and I'm still buzzing from the shows.
I am always caught between a rock and a hard place. I always get it by the....STONES!
東京公演ね。
live in tokyo,time flies !
よかですね。
and counting..............till the end of universe !!
Check out the brass section-that's maybe the strongest horns they ever toured with...
They Rocked. Saw them at the Coliseum in L.A. Eric Clapton came out and played with them.
A fine blend of so many styles - great song!
Мик - это гигант ; скала ‘; ему нет равных и вся его группа очень профессиональна. Молодцы: Слушаю их уже 30 лет и только сейчас это поняла
Doing what they do best. Invent new sounds, playing tight together. Front man and drummer pound!
Don't forget greats backing voices.
The BEST song from RS.
Has always been one of my favorite RS songs. The Stones are at their best when their music is creative and speaks about the human condition.
Bill Wyman and Richards, perfect Rock
Damn, this is even better than the studio version. Nice work!
Stone sings have predicted things to come in the world
This is one if them..
Still as great as ever and man how i can relate to this song these days.
Ohhh! God bless the sound engineer on this tour!,,, I better stop writing! Because am going to say words that’s not allowed here.❤️✌️
no other has been so one with their medium than jag, rich, jones/taylor/wood, wy, and watts....and there never will be as much as we would all like to dream and hope
Awesome song.
When I hear about what wild guys they were I laugh. A friend spent many many hours with them at a studio. They were always early, were extremely courteous and professional and willing to stay late. Quite the opposite of what people expected from them. Im sure they were a bit wild at times, but quite serious about their music.
Buddy of mine worked as an executive at Molson in the 80's when they sponsored the Canadian part of The Stones' Tour. Mick Jagger came in to sign some papers, in a suit, reading glasses, just all business. The Bad Boys of Rock thing is an image.
Love how Bills plays Bass
Mick and the boyz keepa rockin'. Salute to you guys!
Still the worlds Greatest Rock and Roll Band.
I like this stationary delivery of the song. 'Music speaks for itself' ...focused, in tune. 4 paws all the way up
At least until the last part
One of my favorites. Great live too
Saw the Stones live 3 times. The Tattoo You, Steel Wheels, and No Security Tours. Hands down the Steel Wheels was the best.
Steel wheels / Urban jungle is, by far, the worst tour of the Stones. Excess of horrendous keyboards, low guitar sound and Ronnie always out of tune, drunk as hell. The dog shaped balloons show at Street fighting man is very hard to see, just like Mick's dancing al 2000 light years from home.
Phenomenol
This was a great concert tour. Ron Wood was my fave. He got a chance to shine for a change. I am not sure if Keith was sick at the time, but Ronnie stepped up and played a number of lead guitar parts during the concert. His solo on Rock And A Hard Place is more polished on the studio version of this song. However, it is still great to see him in the spotlight.
Ronnie looking great in red! Great licks too, of course.
This is a top song.
Just heard this and GOD IT ROCKS what a bunch of wild
Bravo!
Awesome song
Legends
Great !!
FABULOSO MIKE
It was really awesome wish i could have been there
saw this tour...9/29/89..Foxboro Ma..greatest single show I ever saw...before or since by anybody....
Certainly too young to see the Stones with Mick Taylor on stage.
the best.
Oldie and good! Excelent song.
Fantastic number.
under-rated song that it's gold
Canta muito!!!!
Absolutamente Geniales, Adoro esta canción
Human Nature The Same After Thousands Of Years Yeah
Pretty darn awesome.

Nicks sense of timing is unbelievable. This is one of my faves.
Who is Nick ?
Make that Mick. Spellcheck got me again!

I love the shirt Mick
Stamina & Sucess = Recipe for Rolling Stones!
One of their best songs. Not one of their biggest hits.
I love love is strong and this song
very hapy
This song fits the Coronavirus situation. We are all stuck between a rock and a hard place!
legends beatles y rolling
Ronnie's sense or rhythm!
Jagger in his sauce.
Just the way we 00.1% like it too!
RIP Charlie!
I believe this song is saying Stand up for yourself! :)
I think it is more about a lot of problems going on in third world countries, it still applies today
@@kpax45 yes, more look around.
Most underrated stone song Nola
2:40-2:53
F🤘R E🤘ER WATTS!!
H.N.Y. ROLL ROLL..
Stones NEED TO PLEASE COME TO SEATTLE
They are in may 2019
I seen this tour at the Capital center DC . It was raining couldn't find my seat . A bunch of us went and I went and bought a tee shirts and my friends took off . I was pissed enough to leave them there since I had the ride but didnt . Stadium concerts suck its all about money .
Tokyo indoor here.
Not one of their best songs- but still better than anyone else- they are the greatest!
One of their best 1980s songs, definetly best song on Steel Wheels album
Ron Wood is very good . . .
I won because i don't have a sombrero hat 🤠 and i was a Chicago Special Offecer in Chicago Illinois
TEMON
