Honestly, the etiquette at metal concerts is really tame compared to what people outside of the metal community expect. I remember going to a concert a while back and the band stopped playing when somebody tripped in the pit. He got picked up, dusted himself off, and the show went on. It was a very wholesome moment.
In August I went to a metal concert and there were some mosh pits and a guy was too drunk and tried to fight people and got kicked out and one girl fanites because she was light sensitive and a bunch of people helped her and other than that it was good
I need to start listening to Slackjaw now, listening to the first 10 minutes was so wholesome. The chances of you reading this Soup is minimal but I'm happy you had an awesome concert!
I was at the concert and it was the highlight of my year. Meeting you was fantastic and I thank you and Brady for signing my shirt. Can't wait for the next one! 🤘
Omfg this is the best way to start my birthday!! Thank you guys so much for the bringing laughter and joy to my life and all of us that listen. Keep up the good work and looking forward to this next hour
If you ever have a chance to go to a Slackjaw concert, please go!! The energy was great, the crowd was great, the band was phenomenal! Super stoked to have gone, looking forward to more
My stepdad grew up in Toronto and his descriptions of like three week long canoe trips out into the North sound so beautiful, I can't wait to head over there!
I was at the Slipknot show in Phoenix and we had the same guy in a wheelchair crowd surfing twice and it was awesome. Also, at the same concert, people in the lawn seats started a giant lawn chair fire that stopped the show for 30 minutes.

Hi, Goons, I'm from Philippines, been binging your podcast on spotify, using it to release my stress from online class in this pandemic, thank you for the content, do not change your approach in podcast. Soup may the force be with your band.
I live in Ohio, and they filmed one of the Captain America movies in Cleveland when I was driving by. All I saw were tons of people with camera really high in the air filming people on cranes
Road to Perdition the Tom Hanks movie was filmed the majority of the time in the two towns i grew up in and one of the scenes was filmed at the church i grew up going to which sadly recently burnt down after like 150 years of standing
I was planning to go to Travis Scott's show because my friend loves him and we live in the Houston area but luckily he had family things happen (nothing to serious) or we could have died.
Trailer Park Boys is based in Nova Scotia, btw. But that fact is true that they will go full character if approached. But also, going to the whole "movies going cheap route for locations", my high school was the set for a movie.. idk the name of it. But they used one office area and turned it into a bank for a scene, and they also used our culinarys dinner area for a banquet scene. It was really weird experience being in the A/V productions academy, having no classroom and our room we were occupying was taken over by a film crew.
The best tip I can give to younger generation who are starting to go to concerts. Just be respectful to people around you if you see someone fall pick them back up or pass out help them make sure there okay and keep going. It can be a metal concert or rap concerts but even though when you go to a metal show you’ll be expecting to get accidentally hit or mosh pits or anything but the thing is the people at that show we’ll help you out and everything while in a rap show you don’t really expect it to be high level like a metal show tbh.
Love it, another podcast! Love you guys!! As far as Dune goes though, if you read the actual books then you could understand why it felt like a lot of world building and such. It needs to sadly be that long. Just so many minute details. Dune fits much better as a TV series honestly.
Soup thinks they extended LoTR just to extend it? In the Fellowship of the ring when they form the fellowship, if they had gone by the book entirely just for that scene then it would have been a feature length film in its own right. Peter Jackson said something like 3 hours.
I went to a black label society concert the other week, that shit was heavy, loud, and high energy, but it was probably one of the safest feeling environments ever, everyone was enjoying the show, there was people of all kinds, there was one guy in a wheel chair, i guess he's there for every single concert he can go to since 2004, people around him made sure that he was having a good time, one year he was crowd surfed with consent of course, my point is you can have a good high energy concert like that with no one getting hurt or dying.
