To be fair, when these are sabotaged the explosion is immense, like, server crashingly immense. Im not surprised they aren't used more often.

I love the fact that you included the explosion at the end! That was quite a hole it made. Would be an OP use as TNT but a bit pricey lol. Also Thank you so much for the tutorials. Always well explained and nice n neat set ups. Although some of these are a bit outdated and the mod developers threw us a few curveballs by changing some of the required blocks and machines used in the tutorials so I had to find a way around those. For example the wither boss farm and autonomous activators which no longer seem to exist. I ended up going old school and just using dispensers, so it is semi automatic by manually flipping a lever, which I probably could build a timer and automate :)
You know what, nevermind. This stuff is way too complex for me. I'll stick to Big Reactors instead.

Doesn't seem to bad actually. I'm going to attempt to set it up using Integrated Dynamics. The mod seems to have enough programmability to use it in this reactor setup.

@@rest.jailbreak Yeah ET Solar can produce much more RF/t than this reactor and doesn't cost 5 Chaos shards. Although, on my server I changed the config so the reactor makes 10x the power due to its risk, complexity, and cost.

Please! Make the tutorial that I was looking for: How to make a Self-sustaining Fusion Reactor from ReactorCraft! It, also, produces a ridiculous amount of power. Almost the same amount seen in this video.
I looked over the code of the program and spottet a possible mistake,
fuelPercent = 100 - math.ceil(ri.fuelConversion / ri.maxFuelConversion * 100)*.01
why ist there a "*.01" this messes up the actual fuel left so in this case u didn't use 0.77% fuel but rather 77% fuel, this would also make sense with the actual reactor numbers as shown in the interface.
**LIKE! This makes prefect sense. So when my reactor was reading out at 99.23% fuel remaining, it was actually supposed to be 23% fuel remaining which would match my fuel conversion ratio. Nice fine, thank you!
so that also means 2 21/2 weeks is about the limit before refuelling is required

It's interesting that the safest place to be inside the blast radius appears to be _directly beneath the explosing reactor_

IMPORTANT!!
One quick note on the chaos element and fuel longevity:
I said in the video that it was not a tangible resource but this is not the case. Once you power down the reactor after running it for an extended period of time, you will need to eject chaos fragments out of the reactor in order to make room for new fuel.
Also, the CC program stated that I had over 99% of fuel in the reactor but this also turned out not to be true. Once the conversion levels rise around 80-90% (as explained in the video), you'll NEED to refuel or risk an explosion. The "remaining fuel" gauge on the CC program interface is NOT an indication of how long the reactor can still safely run so DO NOT TRUST THIS. Refer to the fuel conversion ratio inside the reactor's GUI to accurately measure the time remaining on your fuel.
In this example, my high output (very inefficient reactor) was only able to last a little over two weeks before a refuel was needed. Lower-output reactors that are more efficient will last longer.

And I feel like joining that server and working for that person, helping them collect taxes, while also making my own court and maybe make a casino in another life.

For anyone playing 1.7.10 ftb infinity evolved (3.0.2) and having an issue with keeping the Field Strength at 50% this is how we did it. i.imgur.com/vOdmLtF.png basically remove the bottom tesseract and link with cryo fluxduct. Don't know if there is an issue with how gates react with tesseracts now but this seemed to fix it for us.

This is a good tutorial, but i feel it lacks in actually showing the whole setup process.
Currently, I have set this up in a Server and the automatic mode for the RF Input is failing. Which causing the Field Strength to drain to 15%. Which causes the CC program to use a fail safe.
You ever find the fix for this?
@@thatsajokek7806 I watched this video a couple years ago or so and used the script, I had the same issue, but managed to fix it by poking around in the program, not sure what I changed, but I think I changed the calculation used for the autoInputGate fluxval, right above the safeguards section, `fluxval = ri.fieldDrainRate / (1 - (targetStrength/100) )`
Thank you for blowing it up ,now i know how far away to build this thing from my base. would you mind posting a block count in a cardenal direction of the blast radius ,it looked to be about 50-60 blocks from center.
From experience it’s more of a 300 block radius

I did the hard math an reverse engineering a few years ago to push the reactor to the limit.

I'd try making an auto-refueling system that auto-prevents it from exploding.

In my private server, I only fuel my reactor to about 50% awakened draconium but it tends to become unstable at 3.26M rf/t and I have 3 of them so I think it's safe to have many of these

Oh btw, in 1.10, the reactor itself does have an option to SCRAM when it ether is about to explode, the Energy Saturation reaches 99%, or the fuel decreases to an unstable level. Plus, it has a ultimate failsafe where it hardwires it's generation to it's containment field and gives you time to stuff your disks into a strongbox and vanish before firey, pyrotheum filled crater.

Hey, I know this may sound odd, but what happens if you are playing this on skyblock and don't have computercraft as part of the mod pack? How would you balance out the input output with just the flux gates DE provides? Because when i just use the Flux gates, the Shield energy input keeps going down.
Huh. Totally forgot that most reactors actually only go up in heat due to acceleration rate of power output, not due to how much power is generating.
Do you have a video that shows the placement of each block of the reactor being built ? I am trying to follow what you have, but I am not sure how some of the blocks get placed just from looking at the set up already completed. Mainly the flux gate and the tesseracts
I need help with the field strength. I turn the reactor on and the strength just keeps dropping and when it hits 15% it charges again. I don't know how to get the field to stay a 50%
set targetStrenght in line 5 up to 85%
...just a simple solution that the generator dont drops under the 15% and start charging again and again.
i dont know where i have to change something that i can target the fieldstrenght i've chosen in line 5 but it should be the formula in line 280 with a little mistake

@@TheMindCrafters there are ways to update the existing code to use in 1.18 but it's very buggy, the worst part is the constant screen flicker which occurs every tick, making the interactable screen useless, not to mention the values that have essentially been amplified by 10x for both output in FE and fuel conversion. likely someone will have to sit down and rebuild a whole new program that works with the reworked reactor
I am curious about the times of a reactor going from perfectly safe to the explosion as a form of self-destruction system. Say you have your base set up to where you absolutely do not want a faction to take hold of the station. One method of avoiding the enemy from capturing the base and such a high-end reactor would be to set an automated system to detonate the reactor. Would you happen to know the times to go from safe to detonation?

Not to mention, that's what they used to blow up the Nostromo, her self destruct sequence was overloading the reactor until it went critical
@@nathanpfirman625 By the way that's the basis for the self-destruct sequence I thought of doing when I made my initial comment. I got the sound files, just gotta mod in the sounds and figure out how long it takes on average for a draconic reactor to blow
It gives you roughly 3 minutes before it explodes. It calculates the time until 2:30.

19:01 it says: "Increased containment field load" so the containment field should be weaker, since it now has to support a heavier load. So why is the containment arrow going up?
Took me ages to get it up and running at a good capacity. Lot's of daily tweaking. (As I am dumb and couldn't figure out a good auto regulation method.Computercraft, etc.)

If someone still has the problem with a blinking monitor (like me), you can edit the programm to rise the sleep time between the screenupdates. All you have to do is:
1) If your reactor is online -> shut it down!!
2) right click the advanced computer running the program, then press and hold "ctrl + T" until the program is terminated.
3) now, you can type: "edit startup" and scroll down to the end of the file, where you can find the "sleep (0.1)" command. Edit this value to 0.5
4) press "ctrl" to enter the menu, save the file, exit the editor and restart the program by typing "startup" into the console
5) Enjoy a non-blinking monitor :)
I can not guarantee this as a solution for everyone, but it was a good solution for me.
Of course a slower update rate will reduce the flickering. However the best solution is to avoid clearing the monitor at all. It's better to just overwrite each line with the new content. Of course you have to make sure you write out enough spaces before / after the new text in order to clear out the previous content. This will completely remove any flickering. Though this requires a few more adjustments ^^. I haven't built a reactor yet, so i wasn't in need of a control program. However for me the fun in playing MC is to write my programs myself ^^.
I'm having trouble with 2 things. 1. My tesseracts are set to their respective frequencies but when I scroll over them the GUI says frequency 0, but when I open it it says set to frequency 2. And then when i activate my reactor the rf/t slowly falls until it hits 1 rf/t, do I need to adjust my flux gates for that?

Solved! Issue with "startup" error message: "startup:178: attempt to concatenate string and boolean" Edit startup, Line 178 reads "print (k . . ": " . . v) Should read "print (k . . ": " , v) Fixed! I don't have any experience in "code writing" but was determined to find the "fix" due to the sear desire to use this specific program for my reactor spotlighted in this video. So yeah... if anyone has this issue, hope this solves it. :)
I know I’m a tad late for this video, but is this still viable on a laggy server? In the event of a server crash can all the safety functions enable?

One simple question. Can the bottom injector get power from I/O energy crystals? I tried to connect it the same way as I did with the fusion crafting injectors but it refuses to accept any power. I don't know if the link is broken or if this particular power conduct is not supported.

We just reached the point on our server to begin contemplating should we try to build one.
The facts we know:
-it need awakened draconium blocks as fuel, which cannot be automatically produced as far as we know
-then it produces ludicrous amounts of power
The question is: is this reactor only does this?
I mean if it makes chaos shards as a byproduct, or makes a magic field which helps, or something like that, then it _may_ have some meaning.
But for getting a lot of energy, even IC2 reactor is safer, and can be automated.

You can use a draconic reactor as long as it has a containment field strength 1% or higher so you can run it at 1%
I can't figure out how to get power into the flux gate that supplies power to the energy injector, i have a tesseract just like the video shows but no power flowing from it to the flux gate. I did take the tesseract off and hook it to something else and power was flowing just fine, just not to the flux gate--what am i missing?? Also i don't have any display coming up on the advanced monitor. How do you turn that on?

So. quick question. is infinity evolved expert mode any different then the normal mod because aside from taking almost 10 minutes to charge, after it charged, the containment field immediately dropped to 0 and blew up. pls help

Connor Hill Yeah, when you restart a server/world, the CC program gets a NullPointerExeption error, so you need to either
a) Shut off your reactor when you log off or
b) Run to the reactor ASAP and restart the program like there's no tomorrow (Which if you don't, there might be no tomorrow, at least for you [ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°])
Jk. But seriously, turn off your DE reactor when you log off.
I got my Draconic reactor build just as in the video but it stays in charging mode for pass 3 hours and still charging, if right that should be making power way before 3 hours.. what is up?
Is the computercraft program specific to mc 1.7.10 or can it be used in newer versions of Minecraft?
the draconic fuel is a finite ressource no ? And what do you do if you want to remove your reactor without make everything blow up ?
i would gather all the materials, and build the reactor for that one guy on the server who keeps sneaking into my base somehow and stealing all my cookies to just give him wrong instructions on how to handle the reactor and watch Hiroshima 2.0 from my base while eating popcorn XD

The field continuously keep decreasing... do you know what the problem can be? and what mode on the injector and stabilizers?
I "copied" that Reactor Design of yours in the video, but when I press "Charge Reactor" nothing happens. everything else works, except I can't manipulate the "controls" for the reactor in the 3x3 screen (it resets itself when I try). do you know what could make that happen?
How hard would it be to automate the energy output amount with computercraft? Like increaee the output amount if the heat is low/saturation is high
