It's July 2024 and this performance is still Magnificent ! This musical should be produced all over the planet. Victor Hugo's great story, and Dennis De Young's great lyrics and music.
I'm guessing POLITICS. The people who run Broadway want to control every play and decide which they will allow to be produced. Dennis De Young is not part of that clique. He's not in NYC. They wouldn't want some outsider be acclaimed without their approval.
