This movie gave a GIGANTIC boost to rhythm & blues music sales. Cab Calloway got world famous again 50 years after hitting it big at The Cotton Club in the 1930's.
The fact you havnt seen this actually blows my mind bro, please do a watch along or a movie review or something man. I personally would absolutely love you to do a commentary track to play alongside the movie. It's actually a musical and comedic masterpiece that might not have been recreated on the same level since.
You definitely need to watch this movie. I remember watching it as a kid. Still one of my all time fav movies. Great driving skills, funny moments and most importantly massive musical stars and songs. Very Bluesy. You'll enjoy it for sure.
This brought me back to my teen years.... There was a new dance every week. Miss those days, but I'd hurt myself now that I'm an old lady.. Thanks for bringing back happy memories....
An all time classic movie. Compulsory viewing. It gets on tv probably twice a year. I watch every time. Legendary for so many reasons.
A favourite moment is when they are at a Hillbilly bar and asks: What kind of music do you usually have here? And the lady answers: Oh we have both kinds! Country AND western 😂
The greatest movie with the best soundtrack of all time!!!
Watch it, it's a masterpiece, it's a love letter to black american music, and good music, most importantly, for which I am deeply thankful to all these wonderful artists.
This is how I grew up and wish and pray we can get back there again. I’m from Chicago
One of those movies you can happily watch again and again. It's ridiculously stupid, hilariously funny and the soundtrack and music scenes are first class.
The Blues Brothers started off as a regular skit on Saturday Night Live. It became so popular they where encouraged to make a movie. Stars lined up to appear in the movie.
Oh man I can't believe you haven't seen this movie!!! You really do need to watch this whole movie. This is definitely the one to watch compared to the 2000 one...
Dude this movie is LEGENDARY.
When ever you hear this get played on radio, this is the actual version you always hear. Ray Charles and the Blues Brothers.
Movie or Musical. 10 years old when I first saw it and now almost 40 years later and over 100 views I love it more and more.
you definitely do! great music and a lot of other fun. I love the James Brown song in the Church!
Its played at parties and by pub bands 80sand 90s. So much fun!
Top 5 movies I'd watch my dad. Funny and inspiring for anyone who ends up into music.
One of the best movies ever.
Have you seen the 'Blues Borothers'? It's right up your alley! Youi would love it ... Aretha stars! The music is phenomenal! 😍
