  • Learn how to make the best Crispy Tofu with this easy and yummy recipe! This oven-baked tofu is perfectly crispy and goes with just about anything savory - curry, grain bowls, stir-frys, and more!
    I like to use nutritional yeast instead of cornstarch to coat my tofu because it adds a LOT of umami flavor. Cornstarch or arrowroot powder will work too but the final texture is more starchy. Made with only 3 ingredients, this Tofu is Vegan, Gluten-Free, and Oil-Free.

      You shouldn't eat cornstarch because it's listed on the official page of what vegans are not allowed to eat .... Cornstarch is a living creature !!

    What temperature to bake?

  • @amichaels1871
    @amichaels1871 Місяць тому +19

    Nutritional yeast is a great addition.
    High in B vitamins, vital to help handle stress & fiber & protein too with a nutty buttery flavor. Great on popcorn
    & mixed into sauces too. ❤🌠

    • @SeriousBartYT
      @SeriousBartYT 29 днів тому

      But will the yeast have the nutrition after it is baked at a very high temperature?

    • @amichaels1871
      @amichaels1871 28 днів тому +2

      @SeriousBartYT The great thing about nutritional yeast is it doesn't lose its nutrients when cooked.
      In fact, its vitamins, minerals, flavor & aroma can all withstand heat. Vitamin B12, in particular can survive high temperatures. ❤️🌠

    Holy crap! Just made these! Exactly the crunch I’ve been missing. There’s fried chicken in my house rn and I’ve been so close to jsut eating a couple of pieces and this completely satisfied the crunch factor. I’m new to wfpb kinda and I’ve noticed that crunch is missing in alot of dishes.
    TIP: if you make the pieces kinda scraggly (almsot like a half smashed) with the texture it makes it even more crunchy crispy. Just had some with ketchup and it tasted like chicken nuggets. I also added onion powder. Thanks for this!
