You are a natural presenter, so enthusiastic, it reminded me how lucky I am to live here. Agree with you that it’s very safe here applying a bit of common sense, certainly safer than my home town in the UK. Good luck with your channel.
Thank you so much for taking us along on your backpacking adventures, Christianne. After watching each of your series, I always truly feel like I just finished a trip myself! Your love of backpacking over other kinds of travel is so evident in the joy of your videos, and as someone who has the same preference, it makes them so engrossing. I think it's especially important for people to see a woman traveling this way because there is enough media out there scaring women to travel at all. I love the travel youtube world but there are both so few people who stick with backpacking after they find "success" and also so few women who are making solo traveling videos (and the number of women in travel youtube couples who have expressed the belief that they couldn't do it alone is so disheartening!). You do it all, and you take us with you, and you seriously give me so much joy with every video. Thanks for fueling the wanderlust and representing the best side of travel a woman could experience!
Omg the dog, couldn't stop watching him at the end, the way he was just sat in your arms is adorable! I've been trying to make it to South East Asia for years but things have kept coming up that have prevented me from going, so hopefully 2023 will be my year!!

Couldn't agree more with what you said about the positive side of breaking up abroad! The same happened to me, my bf of nearly 6 years broke up with me 2 months into our world travel that we had planned and saved for years. I was very upset for a while but to be honest it couldn't of happened at a better time where I was able to meet so many amazing like minded people and see and experience beautiful things outside of my home country. We only travelled together for 2 months out of the 2 years I was abroad and I'm really proud of myself for going solo. Your videos really inspire me and I hope we get to meet one day!
I moved to Thailand in January to teach and love it so much I extended my contract through July 2023. Although my adventures are much more spread out because of work I’ve loved watching your videos and inspiring my next holiday. Would possibly be interested in a dive retreat!! Truly one of your greatest vlogs and adventure! I thoroughly enjoyed the series. I am intrigued though for the “Final Secret Episode!” Way to keep us wanting more…lol

I’m so excited :) I think our trip will be pretty similar to yours, just shorter, unfortunately, but we are planning according to your recommendations (hope to do the same snorkeling tour from Koh Phangan, scuba diving in Koh Tao etc). Anyway thanks for the awsome vlogs you are tons of fun to watch and I'm sooo happy I found your channel
Really enjoyed watching your roundup of Thailand. I too went in March and travelled solo . Agree with a lot of your views of the experience you had . Was really nice to see again some of the places I visited. During my 2 week trip I visited Phuket , Phang Nga national park , Similan Islands , Chiang Mai , Chiang Rai and Bangkok . I too was surprised by how much it rained during my stay , some spectacular thunderstorms considering it was supposed to be the dry season . Was an amazing experience , made so many memories which I'll treasure for many years to come ❤️
Will you be making an unpacking video?:) I’m going to thailand for 4 months at the end of summer so lot’s of planning to do and your packing video was already very helpful!

Loved watching your Thailand series Christianne! I've been to Thailand once in 2016-17 and fell in love with the country. I did a little diving while there (I'm advanced open water PADI certified), mostly in and around Krabi, but would absolutely be interested in a dive trip back to Thailand, if that ever materializes. Can't wait to watch your next series!
The videos were amazing. I loved the adventures. Thank you for sharing and thank you for all the very helpful info. Planning my Thailand trip for next year. Thank you!

Absolutely loved watching the Thailand videos, it was so fun watching you travel around a lot of different islands! I would love to go there in the next couple of years. Your videos are the travel guides that I need 😂
Hey Christianne! It's been so much fun to live through your adventures these past couple of months, seeing familiar and unfamiliar places, I'm itching to get out backpacking again! Ended up getting a little teary-eyed at the Railay ep haha! In regards to the dive retreat, YES YES, 100% YES! I was planning on getting my licence in 2020 but had to come home due to the pandemic, so it would be the perfect full circle (universe in my favour) moment to go back out and do it, and also meet you! 😃
You are really amazing!! It would be a dream to join a Thai dive retreat with you. If you are planning a future dive in Thailand, please consider doing a 4-7 days dive trip from Similan Island & Koh Tachai. They are one of the best diving spots in Thailand. If you would love to swim alongside a whale shark, the best period to encounter them is at the beginning of December or the end of March.

Hadn't heard of Railay but now it's high on my list of places I want to go as I will be down in Krabi for a few days during my trip, thanks for the recommendation!
It is funny because I always thought I wanted to travel with somebody and now hearing that people can also break up during those traveling periods gives me new perspective 😂
Great video! I'm not overly inspired about Chiang Rai either, and I don't know why since Iäve never been there. Just doesn't seem to have the best vibe 🫢 Definitely want to do some diving once I travel to Thailand sometime in the future! Your diving videos have been so inspiring 😍
I'm planning my first solo trip (after just going through a break-up) and I'm really wondering if I'm going to enjoy myself more like you did! Planning on getting my PADI in Koh Tao, so I would love to join you on a dive retreat!!
I've been to Thailand 5 times and luckily have a friend who lives in Bangkok, so then use it as a jumping off point to go and visit different places on my own. Most visits are 10 days which I find is long enough for me and I need some time to recover before going back to work. I even did a return via Hong Kong once which was great 😁 I recommend January as one of the best months to go as the weather is great though you do get some rain but it soon stops and dries up. Amazing country, amazing people 🥰
Hi Christiane ! Thank you for your awesome videos. I really loved this Thailand serie ! I am planning a 3/4 months backpacking trip around Thailand/Vietnam/Cambodia/Laos... Any advice ?
Hi Christianne!!! Loved watching and following your Thailand trip! :) I’m wondering if you could cover a street food safety or even food poisoning/avoiding it!!! I’m going to Thailand soon :) and really nervous about getting sick
I also want to add to the comments - you have inspired me to travel so much. I have been following you since the beginning of your channel and, have always really enjoyed watching your adventures. I legit have travelled so much of the world because of you. My last trip was in 2019 and it was throughout South East Asia. In terms of backpacking trips going unplanned... I found out I was pregnant in Thailand LOL. So now I have a 2 year old and I can't wait to travel again with her, but it's just the two of us and frankly, I need her to get a bit older so I can handle the two of us backpacking :P

@@BackpackingBananas I love it, however they are closing my facility next year. That’s the sole reason why I came across your Chanel. If you ever in the US or Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 you have a new friend here 😉
Nice summary of your Thailand adventure! Per the "diving license," if that question was addressing only the 4 check out dives for Padi Open Water Certification, that's not a big deal. If one has no classroom or confined water training, they may want to do that before traveling as that would take several full days to complete in addition to the 4 certification dives. Personally, I'd want to arrive in Thailand (or anywhere) fully certified so you can focus on fun/diving😁
Another great video and what an ambassador for Tourism Thailand 👍 you definitely show all the best bits and give some great advise. I thought you were going direct to Australia ? A dive retreat sounds great, I stayed at one for a week in Oman and the diving was amazing - better than the Maldives, don’t now why but the fish just seemed larger and the variety was unbelievable. The resort was great and with all dives included was such good value 👍 but very very Hot 🥵
@@BackpackingBananas great look forward to the OZ videos, would love get there one day and tour the North and north west side of the country in a camper van for a year or two 👍 Perth to Sydney the long way………….you confused me being at home with your pooch 🐾🐾 how far behind are your videos at the moment then ?

Gonna watch you koh phangan video after this as I'm going there in May! :) If you have any contacts or recommendations for the island please pass them my way!✨

I stayed on koh samui for 10 nights then we flew to Bangkok for 4 nights. Absolutely loved it but is something I want to do on my own 😍 thank you so much for this video you are an inspiration
Absolutely love your vibes girl!! I’m heading to Thailand in a few weeks and wondering how you managed to travel for the length of time you did - did you need proof of ongoing travel within 30 days to get your Thai pass? ❤️❤️
I needed proof of onward travel when checking in at the airport to fly to Thailand! But I didn’t need that for the Thai Pass itself. I booked a flight to Cambodia to show as proof but then cancelled it once I arrived in the country 😊
I would love to do the dive retreat in Thailand 2023. I’m an open water diver, so I’d need to take my advanced course there. I am planning on going in November 2023.
Great recap video Christianne! I have to confess that I just started watching your vids at the start of your Thailand trip. But give me a few weeks and ill be caught up!😀 I was hoping that when you do your "How much does it cost" video, if you could elaborate on how much it costs to dive there if you have no training and to become fully certified. Looking forward to your upcoming trip(s) and again, great job!😊

Hi Christianne. I absolutely agree that Thailand is the best country for backpacking and independent travel. It is particularly an excellent first big backpacking trip destination for new travelers too. Now that you've had an in-depth look around Thailand, I wonder if you'd be interested in a similar trip to Indonesia to see how you think the two countries compare. Maybe you could add a trip through Indonesia to the end of the Thailand diving adventure trip you mentioned too. Good luck! Cheers.

Thanks Milla! Yeh a real shame about Chiang Rai!
looking forward to coming June to start my vlog journey found your video most helpful
Pleasant start ❤
🥰🥰🥰
I'm planning my first solo trip (after just going through a break-up) and I'm really wondering if I'm going to enjoy myself more like you did! Planning on getting my PADI in Koh Tao, so I would love to join you on a dive retreat!!
Wooo hope you have a wonderful time!
Amazing country, amazing people 🥰
Excited to hear these big summer plans!! What happened with the U.K. house hunt?
Omg! That’s wild 😅 I’m so happy for you though! I always fantasise about travelling alone with a mini me 😍😍 all the best ❤️❤️❤️
Love your Chanel! And what an amazing 🤩 trip!! I work overnight at the Coca-Cola company in Massachusetts and I and super excited that I come to my last break and your post just went up 13 minutes ago 😌😌 you have inspired me to go on a journey that I have been thinking 🤔 for a long time now. Thanks 😊 so much for all the great information you provide in all your videos. I truly hope we cross paths in this life time 😎😎. Great work keep it up 🔥🔥💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Pretty cool job at Coca Cola! 😎
@@BackpackingBananas I love it, however they are closing my facility next year. That’s the sole reason why I came across your Chanel. I am thinking 🤔 what the next chapter of my life would look like and a long trip is at the top of my list. Thanks for responding and taking the time. So cool 😎.
Really great video. Thanks for sharing 🙂
I’d love to go diving in the Middle East! 😍 and yes I did fly direct to Australia after Thailand 😊
@@ahillvfr i am still in Australia 😅 my sister lives here and this is her dog haha. Videos are about 4 weeks behind!
@@BackpackingBananas ok understand now 😄 very cute and the dogs adorable too 😘 happy travels.
Omg the exact thing happened with me and my ex when we travelled Thailand and Vietnam in 2019! 2 and a half month trip, I spent the last two weeks alone! backpacking really tests a relationship haha.
Gonna watch you koh phangan video after this as I'm going there in May! :)
If you have any contacts or recommendations for the island please pass them my way!✨
Wow!!! This sounds like such an amazing trip! I want to do this so badly I just don’t know where to start or if I even trust myself 😭🤦🏼♂️😂 I’ve been to Thailand before but it was a holiday!
Definitely do the dive retreat!!!!!!
Awesome series ❤
Excited for Australia!
You are amazing😍
Love watching your videos❣️
You actually inspired me to go on a solo trip for almost one month. ✌
Wooo 🥳go you!
@@BackpackingBananas 😍
i love your budgeting videos!
Love your channel. Very inspiring
Nice video
Hopefully you back to Thailand again
Interesting video, thank you! Quick question..which device did you use for underwater videos? Thank you!
Yess I’ll deffo talk about diving costs in my budgeting video 🥰
I’m planning a few months backpacking through thailand and Philippines next year. I’m curious if you took any anti malarials while you were there? Also, how did you manage to stay for so long? Did you leave the country and return?
At the time, we could easily extend our visas month by month because of the covid policies.
Haha you said You were in Perth. I thought you were home since I’d been eyeing the dog beside you while doing your Q+A. Very informative as usual; you’ve peaked my interest. Hopefully a special time in the future. Sorry about BF. You have a lovely personality, that’s why you are a great UA-camr and make your content so interesting + fun.
I am in Perth 😅 this is my sister’s home and dog 😊 thanks Linda ❤️❤️
Hi Christianne. I absolutely agree that Thailand is the best country for backpacking and independent travel. It is particularly an excellent first big backpacking trip destination for new travelers too. Now that you've had an in-depth look around Thailand, I wonder if you'd be interested in a similar trip to Indonesia to see how you think the two countries compare. Maybe you could add a trip through Indonesia to the end of the Thailand diving adventure trip you mentioned too. Good luck! Cheers.
Yesss i’m dying to backpack through Indonesia!!
When you backpack solo and go for a swim, what do you do with leaving your stuff on the beach? X
1000% would be interested in the dive retreat 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 planning to get my open water licence in Turkey this summer 🥳
Keep your eyes peeled! 😉
love your videos from Thailand. ^^
🥰🥰🥰
You are such an inspiration, I expect for many :)
🥰🥰🥰
@@BackpackingBananas let's plan.........many things
I would love to come to Thailand!!! Please organize!
Would love a dive retreat 😍 I haven’t been since I qualified in Australia in 2019!
🥳🤿
best of luck going forward. Greetings from Denmark
I AM SO DOWN FOR THE DIVERS’ RETREAT!
Hey Christianne, I'm going to Camp Thailand in July after finishing uni. It was a spontaneous idea, any advice on where to find cheap flights? Love your content
Welcome to australia. Are you coming to Melbourne? Would love to watch your blog and see what you think
Your videos have the realest vibes 💕 I was wondering your opinion on a good place to stay for the whole year
In Thailand? Perhaps in Bangkok or Chiang Mai or Koh Samui
