  • Here are the details for the 4 best baby beaches in Orange County.
    Here’s our criteria for baby-friendly beaches:
    - Calm water with almost no waves
    - Shallow water with very gradual drop off
    - Lots of sand space to play in
    1. Seabridge Park In Huntington Beach.**
    Located in the canals of the Huntington Harbor. It’s a small sand beach with no waves. Boats and kayaks pass by, but the play area is roped off. Next to the beach is a small grassy park with a playground. Public restrooms available in the park. There is a very small parking lot and very limited street parking.
    2. Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort in Newport Beach
    Located in the Newport Bay. Newport Dunes is on a resort and RV camp, but with free public access to the beach. It’s a large stretch of sand with plenty of beach space. At one end is a small playground. There’s also public restrooms, a small food stand, and a mini-convenience store. There is a large paid parking lot.
    3. 19th Street Bay Beach in Newport Beach
    It’s on the inside of the Balboa Peninsula. There’s a long narrow strip of sand with still waters. Boats and kayaks pass by, but the swim area is roped off. There’s a large playground next to the beach and big open grass spaces. Public restrooms are available at the playground. There is a small paid parking lot, and street parking in the surrounding neighborhood.
    4. Baby Beach in Dana Point.
    Known as both Baby Beach and Mother’s Beach, it’s inside of Dana Cove. This stretch of sand has calm waters. The swim area is roped off from boats going in and out of the harbor. There’s also a grassy area next to it.
