Ciao, complimenti per il lavoro, non hai pensato di fissare la ruota di scorta sopra il vano che hai ricavato? O addirittura metterla dentro il vano .Scusa la domanda ma non sono esperto . Buon lavoro
That's a great idea however the tool box we fabricated is for Chains, Straps and Chain Binders. The spare tire would not fit in there, So above the jacks is about the only place we could mount it and it be easily accessible. As we all know flat tires come at the worst possible places and we don't want to have to get under the trailer etc when its usually dangerous enough changing them on the side of busy roads Thanks so much for watching and following along
@@4tect4 that’s almost exactly what I had in it actually. I think my total man hours were 27 or 28 All in this was around $4000 Which sounds like a lot but had it just been repairing the original and reusing single jack that price would have been half that. The cost comes in when you start customization. Dual jacks which were all brand new and then a custom tool box all out of 1/4” plate. But yes it’s a lot of labor involved.
Let this be a lesson. As a truck driver with hundreds of thousands of miles pulling trailers..... slow the fu.k down. I see more guys in the ditch with their big fancy pickup trucks with their rvs, toy haulers, car haulers, and whatever else they be pulling sittin next to them, pointing in the wrong direction. LOL On most round and square tube we use for handrails there is a weld seam from the steel mill, It's very ugly and stands out like a sore thumb so we try our best to turn that seam in so you don't see it at all or at least make it less noticeable. If it's not possible we smooth it out with flap wheels but that takes more time. So in order for guys in the shop to remember i came up with banner to throw on the wall.

my only concern is the jack with the handle facing in under the spare tire

Why would anyone pull a trailer, any trailer, at 75 MPH?
Because we are not doing 76 mph .
Left jack needs to be turned so you can pull pen and push down with your foot
