@@obasuyiaghogho6331Regarding crow chasers, Melissa won a challenge, was in the top 3 for another challenge and was only in the bottom 3 once. The other girls in the top 3 (aside from Natasha of course) have never won a challenge in Crown Chasers. Nande was in the bottom 3 once and Bryoni was only in the top 3 once. So in my opinion, I don’t think Crown Chasers is the main reason she didn’t make it into the top 3, because overall, she performed better than both Nande and Bryoni in Crown Chasers (when looking at the average placements).
@@obasuyiaghogho6331 Well you can improve a performance but you can't teach someone eloquence. Let's give Melissa her flowers she is powerful. She was the voice of the competition. Congratulations to Natasha she worked hard
Nande and Mellissa had best answers in the Top 5. Nande had the best answer in the Top 3. Bryoni was definitely the star on stage last night. I guess it was written in the stars for Natasha but let's not pretend that she was the best, she was not. Mellissa and Nande were the best last night. It is also not lost on me how Natasha literally prepped using photographers, designers etc. who works with Miss SA every year (including this year). So, she was literally comfortable with these people during most of the challenges because she has a personal/professional relationship with most of them. What we saw during this year's competition was (wh*te privilege, pretty privilege and Nepotism)
You are bitter, You cannot give a mediocrity performance the entire time and expect to win because you came through last minute. Y'all are too entitled. Natasha won, and you can go jump because whining will never change that.
Oh please don't ruin it by bringing in colour. This competition was run over weeks. Who constantly placed in top 3. This woman worked darn hard for the title. I can be nasty and critique the other contestants but won't stoop to your level. Let you heart heal Natsha won fair and square.
@@julzziemac Lol Listen. I am not mad that Natasha used her privilege. She can use it to her hearts content. But you are not going to convince us that this was won fair and square because it wasn't. What hard work did Natasha do? And please don't mention 1.2 million she raised. Of course, she did it, she had the connections to raise it because Miss SA organization gave her connects in 2020.
So wrong and so loud 🤡 Whoever is crowned Miss SA needs to be consistent and it has to be a woman who knows who she is. Melissa still has some emotional healing and internal work to do, Crown Chasers showed this. Especially in the last episode. She was not ready for this title. It’s not about who gives the best answers on the night.
Agreed! Natasha worked hard and worked smart - that is a lesson in life. I don’t get the melissa hype - for me she doesn’t come across as authentic and relatable, also she wasn’t up to scratch and doesn’t have the same impact as Natasha. Natasha has the standard of global queens and I hope her example elevates future contenders to know where the bar is and to do the work
Best Miss South Africa in a long time... Was glue to my seat from beginning to end. Natasha and all not so great on finale than they were hotter in crown chasers. Especially episode 5. But because of crown chasers my top 2 was correct only the rd spot was difficult to predict as I thought it's going to be Melissa. But fair results.
Edit: Miss Universe South Africa is Bryoni 😍 After watching the finale, I feel like all will fall into Natasha being in Miss Universe again. The show had Miss Universe 2022 with so many exposures, also the show features a lot of the changes of the organization such as the inclusion of married candidates. The Miss South Africa org and the MU org seems to have a good relationship. Now i can feel that Natasha will be the first repeater of Miss Universe under the new org which focuses on inclusivity and transformational leader. Natasha for Miss Universe 2023 Bryoni for Miss Supranational 2024 Edit: but it's all upto Natasha too. Tho, Bryoni is also undeniably good for Miss Universe, i remember Divita was a Top 6 at Miss Diva and was appointed as Miss Universe 2022, shec can still place with that performance on the finale
Then all other countries will want to come back too and then we will be seeing the same faces over and over and over and new girls won’t be given a chance. It will be a recycled cycle.
I have to say something and please respect my opinion.... Do you know I can't accept Natasha as the new winner of the title of Miss South Africa because she got a chance and representing South Africa in Miss universe
I think Bryoni will be a dark horse at Miss Universe and if they send Natasha Joubert to Miss Supernational then she will be Miss Supernational 2024 winner.
Thank you so much for saying you dont want to see Bryoni in Greys, nude colours. I said the very same thing back in 2018, her gown colour was underwhelming
Both Melissa and Nande.. yes we love Natasha but her answers were not giving ... I really thought Nande was taking it after the last answer but boom💥 not even top 2👀👁👀
A lot of the entrants forget looking toned does not mean trying to be stick thin but there is also the new body positivity drive to include all body shapes, but let us be honest and look at the rest of the world and see how hard their girls work to look toned and fit. Future contestants should watch Ndavi deliver her answers, controlled and the tone and delivery is commanding without screaming to make a point or statement.
I hope the MissSA organization will give Bryoni an excellent national costume and is easily identifiable as South African. past national costumes are really vague and are not easily identifiable with South Africa (drawings of children, dove ballerina, country map of the African continent)
Totally agree! Why did we pay for a service we did not receive. Also, did not like the final dresses, they could barely walk. Being able to have style and choose a dress according to your style is part of the skill you should have as a Miss South Africa. But they are not allowed to showcase their individuality… Happy for Natasha though. She worked really hard 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I agree it really was disappointing. Im an avid fan of the miss sa pageant. I paid and the terrible long "we will be back shortly" was annoying. Also the whole show was disappointing if I compair it to last year. The lighting etc was terrible and considering we were supposed to have VIP access they just didn't deliver.
Thank you for drawing attention to the difficulties. I had a terrible time with the Durban July watching a so called live stream, that turned out to be last years Durban July.
As much as we think the new MU org has been quite progressive and has made bold changes that have angered many traditional pageant fans, leading us to think that anything is possible, I believe letting someone return to the MU stage to compete again is where they will draw the line. They are already getting more backlash than they ever have for letting married women and trans women compete, not to mention their controversial renewal of national franchises. In all of Miss Universe's editions, the one cardinal rule they have never broken is that on repeat performances. I don't think they can handle the backlash following yet another major rule change.
Miss South Africa is smart because Miss SA did not announce any runner ups only Miss South Africa was called. This makes Bryoni eligible to compete there because she’s not a runner up.
Hi #RinaHendriks waiting for your view on MISS DIVA 2023 which will be held on 27 August. There are so many amazing women this year, so I am really excited to know your thoughts please please make a video. I love your content, can't wait for video. Love & Support from India 🇮🇳
I think Bryoni will be at a disadvantage going to MU. She is not miss South Africa with or without a runner up sash. And I feel they are doing to Bryoni what they did to Natasha when they sent her as second runner up to MU and she didn’t place. It feels like a bit of a mess this year. Something didn’t feel right from the start of the whole process. I love Natasha though and she absolutely deserves to win miss SA but she did have months of one on one training to go to MU and close relationships with Miss SA staff which gave her a huge advantage the other ladies didn’t have
Nope Miss universe is a once in a life time experience If miss universe let same woman to compete again it'll lose it international standard it's not a national pageant like same woman can compete again and again
No there’s been girls that have out performed Natasha and didn’t get a second chance. Natasha is not the first to unplace please let’s give new people a chance. Imagine if they brought back the same girls every year it would be boring. The rule states you can only compete once.
They had special awards for Top 11 in the first hour. Lungo won S2 Crown Chaser of the season. Bryoni won a Fitness Ambassador Award, something like that. I'm sorry you had streaming issues. That must've sucked.
All I can say is: South Africa, prepare to clap this year. You don’t have Natasha, then you have Bryoni, technically as a runner-up which is not favorable for MU. Not saying Bryoni doesn’t deserve it. I think she is gorgeous. But MU Org will just give her the Natasha2020 treatment.
They should have announced the titles like in 2018 ironically the last time Bryoni made it finals then announce the Miss South Africa title. I don't think Khun Ann is pleased that the first runner up is going to Miss Universe.
Natasha was great but a little scared in the final question, wish she had not included the last part , nonetheless deserving of the crown. Mellissa to me deserved a chance in the top 3 I won't lie I was disappointed not to see her there. Briyoni did ok she needs to work harder if she wants to place on Miss Universe. Anke, Nande and Homba were not ready this year. I wish they can comeback coz I love them With Homba I finally admitted after watching her performance that no she is not ready her mission statement was great though and she looked beautiful in blue Nande was gorgeous and she really tried, she answered better than Briyoni in that final Q even though she was super scared. At least she added meat in her Ubuntu answer unlike Briyoni who didn't elaborate more on diversity. The only thing I didn't like is her walk it's still a bit stiff Anke was great in terms of walks but in her final judging day her answers were all over the place and in her mission statement she said nothing at all I was a bit disappointed
The wrong person won and this is going to cause havoc! Does this mean those who lost in the previous years can come back and they will win too. What’s going to happen at Miss Universe cos Natasha won’t win win Supernatural or Miss universe. The new crown got in the wrong head. That crown should have been on someone who has never won or became a runner up before
I think they need to stick one designer for all segments of the coronation night, it just makes things easier because in this case Gert executed and expanded one concept for all the girls and it was magic. Same for swimsuit and suits, it was just beautiful. Going back to our winner, I think she will go to Miss Supranational 2024 no one has competed twice in Miss Universe. I wouldn’t send Bryoni to Miss Universe now or any of the top 5 finalists. Considering the tough competition this year, Shudu (Miss SA 2020) is our best contender. Trust me if Thailand crowns Verna, Jazzy or Anne (Miss Supranational 2019) and Michelle Dee from the Philippines it will be bloodbath at Miss Universe 2023. Our best bet is Shudu, she can trained on the walk and she will be fine especially around the allegations that the new MU owner doesn’t want runner ups there.
Mellisa had one face during the entire evening gown segment : 😁 If you’ve watched Lu Sierra’s video you know this is a pageant crime. You can not hold one face the whole time. It seems unauthentic 🙈 Still love her so much though
South Africa missing out on a certain high placement or even winner at MU by not choosing Melissa as Miss SA. Unfathomable that she didn't finish in top 3 Miss SA
But they should consider the fact that South Africa has 11 official languages. That should’ve not been a barrier! Nande gave the best answer and she incorporated her native language, sharing her heritage with so much pride.
Also, Natasha's Q and A pretty much showed why she did not place at MU 20.

So wrong and so loud 🤡
Whoever is crowned Miss SA needs to be consistent and it has to be a woman who knows who she is.
Natasha has the standard of global queens and I hope her example elevates future contenders to know where the bar is and to do the work
I was at the show the arena was so loud so the girls needed to scream to be heard
Yup, the crowd loved Natasha and Melissa
Best Miss South Africa in a long time... Was glue to my seat from beginning to end. Natasha and all not so great on finale than they were hotter in crown chasers. Especially episode 5. But because of crown chasers my top 2 was correct only the rd spot was difficult to predict as I thought it's going to be Melissa. But fair results.
Nande's gown was the best 🥰🥰🤩
The votes were for this new competition called the crown chaser of the season
I waited for this my whole day
Edit: Miss Universe South Africa is Bryoni 😍
After watching the finale, I feel like all will fall into Natasha being in Miss Universe again.
Natasha for Miss Universe 2023
Bryoni for Miss Supranational 2024
Edit: but it's all upto Natasha too.
But I think she had got her chance and this time they must give a chance to Bryoni
Natashia cant join UNIVERSE again... sorry
I have to say something and please respect my opinion.... Do you know I can't accept Natasha as the new winner of the title of Miss South Africa because she got a chance and representing South Africa in Miss universe
Remember, in the past, girls tried 2 or 3 times to win Miss SA, so it is nothing new.
@@gdeec I agree with you ...but noone in the past represent south Africa in miss universe and after 3 years won miss south Africa
I think Bryoni will be a dark horse at Miss Universe and if they send Natasha Joubert to Miss Supernational then she will be Miss Supernational 2024 winner.
@Rina I understand exactly what u mean
Thank you so much for saying you dont want to see Bryoni in Greys, nude colours. I said the very same thing back in 2018, her gown colour was underwhelming
Miss South Africa 🇿🇦 organization disappointed 😢me ! They had her as the winner this whole time ! Melissa was robbed 😒😒😒
Both Melissa and Nande.. yes we love Natasha but her answers were not giving ... I really thought Nande was taking it after the last answer but boom💥 not even top 2👀👁👀
Thank you Rina for the update😊I think Bryoni will do well at MU 💕
The good answer was from Melissa and nande
I was streaming from NY, but couldn't access any of these Miss SA App streams. 😢
Have to agree with bryoni, even the yellow swim suit was good on her!
How can a contestant compete again? Plz tell me
Rina I looooooove that sweater you have on. It looks so warm!
Ths is South Africa anything is posible we happy Natasha won
Natasha literally was not the best ! Her answer was not the best ! Melissa had a wonderful answer
Dude get a life, stop hating on Natasha
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 thts all I can say Natasha is Miss South Africa dear
Melissa would not condone your shameful behaviour, you’re everywhere in these comments hating
You have a problem wena
I hope the MissSA organization will give Bryoni an excellent national costume and is easily identifiable as South African. past national costumes are really vague and are not easily identifiable with South Africa (drawings of children, dove ballerina, country map of the African continent)
The Gowns were Phenomenal.....so much better than the common " nude look ".
Kudos to the Designer 👌👌👌💕
Totally agree! Why did we pay for a service we did not receive.
Also, did not like the final dresses, they could barely walk. Being able to have style and choose a dress according to your style is part of the skill you should have as a Miss South Africa. But they are not allowed to showcase their individuality…
Happy for Natasha though.
Natasha really deserved this win♥️♥️♥️♥️👑👑👑👑
We dont want to see returnees next year! Once you make it to to top 12.
True. I am tired of seeing the same faces
Exactly it’s boring
Start your own organization and make your rules!
I think Natasha was off in Q&A...
Wait who did u say was bewitching you last night? 😂😂😂 Yoh I haven't laughed this hard in a while, Thank you🤭🤭🤭🤣
Nam! I laughed and laughed🎉
Any word on Miss South Africa World?
I love Natasha though and she absolutely deserves to win miss SA but she did have months of one on one training to go to MU and close relationships with Miss SA staff which gave her a huge advantage the other ladies didn’t have
The audience was very loud. I think she was both passionate and couldn’t hear herself thus the loud answers
Miss Universe is under new era now , so i think Natasha can represent SA at MU again this year .
Nope
Miss universe is a once in a life time experience
If miss universe let same woman to compete again it'll lose it international standard it's not a national pageant like same woman can compete again and again
No there’s been girls that have out performed Natasha and didn’t get a second chance. Natasha is not the first to unplace please let’s give new people a chance. Imagine if they brought back the same girls every year it would be boring. The rule states you can only compete once.
@@praveenkumar-wo2csthank youuuu
The voting was for awarding on the voted out girl, an award for the crown chaser of the session
Sounds like you had a disastrous time 🙏🏿 hope to see you ok. The app, the Internet and the power 😢
Thanks Rina I love following your reviews and you seldom mince your words. You were spot on.❤
I think Miss SA took an overall crown chasers performance into the final outcome. Those who were the overall bst performers were at the top.
Yes, they did,and Natasha had an advantage because she was there before
They had special awards for Top 11 in the first hour. Lungo won S2 Crown Chaser of the season. Bryoni won a Fitness Ambassador Award, something like that.
I'm sorry you had streaming issues. That must've sucked.
they posted the show on youtube
All I can say is: South Africa, prepare to clap this year. You don’t have Natasha, then you have Bryoni, technically as a runner-up which is not favorable for MU. Not saying Bryoni doesn’t deserve it. I think she is gorgeous. But MU Org will just give her the Natasha2020 treatment.
I think Natasha’s situation is going to give us grey hair, let’s rather wait and see what will unfold.
I wish they can comeback coz I love them
With Homba I finally admitted after watching her performance that no she is not ready her mission statement was great though and she looked beautiful in blue
Nande was gorgeous and she really tried, she answered better than Briyoni in that final Q even though she was super scared. At least she added meat in her Ubuntu answer unlike Briyoni who didn't elaborate more on diversity. The only thing I didn't like is her walk it's still a bit stiff
Anke was great in terms of walks but in her final judging day her answers were all over the place and in her mission statement she said nothing at all I was a bit disappointed
Seeing that Miss SA is all about Miss universe what's the point of Natasha winning?
Natasha’s had the advantage and everyone expected her to win no surprises at all and a bit boring. To me very disappointing Miss SA in long time.
Miss SA basically scammed people this year 😂😂😂😂
The wrong person won and this is going to cause havoc! Does this mean those who lost in the previous years can come back and they will win too. What’s going to happen at Miss Universe cos Natasha won’t win win Supernatural or Miss universe. The new crown got in the wrong head. That crown should have been on someone who has never won or became a runner up before
Did u just say Kea was probably bewitching you? 😭😂😂
Mellisa had one face during the entire evening gown segment : 😁
If you’ve watched Lu Sierra’s video you know this is a pageant crime. You can not hold one face the whole time. It seems unauthentic 🙈 Still love her so much though
South Africa missing out on a certain high placement or even winner at MU by not choosing Melissa as Miss SA. Unfathomable that she didn't finish in top 3 Miss SA
I am South African, I watched on the app for FREE. I did not pay for anything so I can't complain about the live constantly pausing😂
Good recap of Miss SA.
As for "probably Kea" bewitching you 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Dying
You make sense so much!!!!
Waited for this!
We we’re robbed by the judges 😢
Nande would have gotten second place if not for the language she spoke whilst talking about “diversity” she was excellent
Not really. Everybody understood what she said. That's her home language. The word Ubuntu is very well know in SA it's even in our Coat of Arms.
But they should consider the fact that South Africa has 11 official languages. That should’ve not been a barrier! Nande gave the best answer and she incorporated her native language, sharing her heritage with so much pride.
It's clear your favorites are Natasha and Bryoni
I cant believe people hating on natasha! Shes the best!
Natasha suparnational 🎉
I think Natasha is gorgeous
