Still waiting for an episode where someone walks in asking for $1 million for 1 percent.
Search for "sharktank highest valuation" -- guy asked FIVE million for 1 percent ($50m valuation) and actually got multiple offers and a deal! It was for a self-cleaning water bottle, iirc
@@SamSilvestro that would be a 500 million dollar valuation
@@SamSilvestro actually it was 500 thousand for 1 percent
@@Gh0ztGRS I'm not having a good day apparently 😬🤐
@@vicenzodj yeah
$700 for a fake tree is insane.
The Most Expensive fake Christmas Tree - $11 Million The tree that stood in the Emirates Palace luxury hotel was just over 40 feet tall. I had to see 🤑🤑🤑
No it's not
Its mainly directed towards the corporate market.
$700 for a fake Christmas tree is not a lot if you take care of it you could have it for a few years before buying a new one just needs good care.
@@Anonymoose66G true but I’m more of a fake person tree and that’s what I think.
I feel like this would be a good business to sell to hotels and restaurants, that kind of thing. Go for high end businesses that would buy nice decorations for Christmas. Not the single family route.
Yeah but at that point your clients get limited
It's caring and lovely to waste ur time with family celebrating a Christmas tree it's enjoying man
100% agree. I work at a hotel attached to a restaurant and they will absolutely pay $700 for a tree. However those are 9-12ft trees and his model at that price looked like maybe a 7ft tree. This would definitely be a great idea because it’s always a hassle to find a good time (or a willing person) to put it up and take it down
@@ivy117 Thanks man. I actually really appreciate someone chiming in who this business idea would be applicable. Lmao it gets so lame hearing people chirp who have no actual say in the business they’re criticizing.
The real question is tho. Why could we come up with idea so easily? Hahah I mean neither him nor the sharks even thought to bring up that idea.
Also I’m not sure I understand what you mean about the 7ft models vs the 9ft ones?
@@kanishk3528 What are you saying?
I've always felt the family task of putting up a (fake or real) tree and ornaments is all part of a Christmas celebration.
I'd buy these if I owned a retail store that needed assets for annual reuse.
That was exactly my thought within a minute of his pitch. Families want and can spend time decorating a tree most of the time, the market for trees that set up in a minute isn't that big in that space. On the other hand, corporations and businesses, that have to put up dozens or hundreds of these across their offices, don't want to waste too many man-hours on setting up decorations. For them, saving so much time with this would certainly be worth it.
I just DON'T put up a tree.. saves a lot of hassle.
I checked them out. That's exactly what they're doing now. Not only that, but they're offering Christmas tree _rentals_ for corporations. Clever.
My 4 kids loved going and cutting down a fresh tree. Cheaper, bonding, and smells great. Then decorating together was another great day.
I paid 200 for my tree this year and that was the absolute max I would ever spent on one
I've seen some really beautiful trees for that. $200 is efficient and with lights/decor, I'm sure your tree was very nice.
i paid $0 for my tree this year and that’s the max i would spend on one
Wait when did Christmas trees sell for 6-$800 😭😭
Stop shopping at Walmart
I just bought my tree for $20
@@TheSuperBoyProject just bought one? Of course it's on sale because Christmas is over...😆 🤣
For shark's house
Just go get one for free. They are eveywhere
They didn't take the tree down? I wanted to see how it was stored.
In early November I went to the drift store and bought a 7ft tree for $25 . Took me 20 min to assemble with ornaments too and everything stores away easy in a bag
If you bought one of these trees, you'd have a tree, but no money to put presents underneath it.
A bit dramatic, you only buy a tree once
That’s why it’s so small. It’s meant to be empty.
The shape is ridiculous and that price is absolutely outrageous.
Kevin hit it right on the money with this!
I’m insulted how confused Robert was, he made a face like “700 is not too much.”
@@jackiecheng4161 it's too much.
$700 is not too much for the consumer who has disposable income. Let Wal-Mart sell sub $200 trees to people who can't afford the luxury -- but families who can afford it will spend up to $2000 for a good tree. And a LOT of families can afford that. Like way, way more families than UA-cam trolls can fathom.
@@Jthom88 Like totally, dude.
@@jasonmerrill8917 thank you for the useless comment
I'd think a lot about buying a tree for 7 dollars and this guy wants 700 dollars😂
in india you'd get a tree for 15 dollars easy. Translates to 1200 rupees. it is insane to hear how overpriced things are in the us. i know inflation's pretty bad for you guys but jesus. don't know why people live there anymore tbh.
@communaltrials2613 cos jobs are high paid. There's just more capital overall
All the trees go on sale for like 70% off after Christmas. Nobody wants to store pallets of trees for a year.
He should have accepted because this is only a seasonal business.
Christmas tree for $600-800 is crazy for an ornament that’s going to be put up for just 3 weeks, once a year 😅
Target market is too narrow - most families have tighter budgets and/or enjoy the entire process of putting a tree up. At best, the more premium commercial establishments would buy this
I would never buy a tree that expensive.
I wouldn't buy a fake tree for 600-800 but def love what he presented.
Years ago I paid 40 dollars for a tree on sale after Christmas valued at 300 dollars. 🥰
I'll just got buy a tree for $20 at dollar general, same impact
Got buy
do that 40 years and you're at 800 XD
Dollar general sells product they know isn't good and still try to pass it off to the consumer. I have begun taking photographic evidence of this if you want me to send you a couple disgusting pictures plus, they are being sued right now by the attorney general for marking prices one price on the shelf and when you get to the register they charge you a higher price. A quick Google search will back up these claims and more. That's the type of company you give your business too? And for that reason I'm out
Got buy
$20? No way for a big one.
Curt: What's the worst part about the holidays? When they're over!
Me: I'm RELIEVED when they're over!
They're still in business with 1.4 million dollars in sales annually
i feel this is a very good idea for apartment owners or older people, but 700 dollars for it is not good, id pay 150-250 lmao
Really $250?? Haha
“I hate your business”
Me: 😭😭😭😭
Him: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good on him man he had good spirits the whole time
He should create smaller trees, the problem with space and time is mostly for people with smaller space not only to display it but to box it the rest of the year. probably then it will be more appealing to a wider audience. But i’ve seen beautifull trees at costco for 150USD that are ready in a minute so speed should nt be the selling point
I enjoy decorating the tree and changing it up every few years
One of the best parts about Christmas is spending your time with your family to build the Christmas tree
Why would I wanna buy a Christmas tree where you can build it in 1 min
not everyone has a family.
Not everyone has time to waste.
@@D.Mon. true but that’s my opinion
Ha!!! Robert is just too ADORABLE!!! 😆 running after knocking the tree over at the end!!! 😆😂
Awesome. Should a customizable tree online!
Idk I just saw this video and even in April I was searching for this tree so I could budget for it for Christmas. I think the tree is amazing and I think it wouldn’t take much to get everyone to want one
Robert is so cute and adventurous!
@7:37. Based on the intensity of this zoom i’m guessing whoever is running the camera got in an argument with a loved one that morning hahah
When he said Facebook was "OK, Google was best" my Google assistant wok up
Some of those Easy Treezy elves can get it
I love the blinking lights on the hat, does he sell them also?
He'd be better off with the $200 tree with At Home and maybe Home goods would be a good store to add but the starting price point is too high.
And I can't believe they are sold out too!!
I will BET the world 🌎 have not seen, heard or experienced anything like THE GRAND DESIGNER. 🔝💯
I was a Project Manager for his company, it is called MCL (Miami Christmas Lights) in Miami lakes, FL. He was an alright boss. They sell to Big Hotels, Hospitals, and Large upscale events, Like the Macy parade of such. He makes a very lucrative amount of money. Very well off.
I knew Barbara was out when I woke up this morning
Intro: first in the tank...
When is it gonna be second in the tank lol

hahah, seeing this comment while im eating
Nice background music
Ahhhh I thought this was a new one - seen this last year
We just buy a small table top tree, like a much fuller Charlie Brown tree…easy & still has a large presence.
Literally a tree that’s about 7 to 10 feet or a little more me and my family purchase them for price range of 70 to like 100 bucks. I mean the price for these fake trees are high my issue is they aren’t wide enough there super skinny
I love real trees personally, call me old fashioned.
ive bought my christmas tree with decorastions for total of 180 - hes around 1,50m big - fake, plastic, works fine
couldnt imagine spending that much on a tree - however the comfort factor is there
0:40 halloween masterpiece??
Can anyone please tell me when was this episode aired on TV?
Dec 1, 2019
Y'all must have never been to any Christmas store.. they sell trees for $1200.. and those don't automatically stack together with lights that automatically light up. Dude has a great product
In what world is a tree 1200???
Wow! Too expensive lol
Nice lunch to everyone 🥪
Hobby Lobby has a 10' tree for $1400 in-store.
Trees at home depot are $150
Don’t know how long ago this was but there’s cheaper trees on Amazon
Some people live in la la land
What about selling small ones
firstly nobody buys a tree for 800.
secondly that’s like a 1 out of 12 month thing
Look my tree cost 150$. 700$ is nuts
I just bought a tree for 480.
$779 for Christmas tree what a rip!
If he can get his price point cheaper he would kill it
He should have just said okay let's do 300k for 30%! It's the same price point and it would be closer to what they both want!
Don’t think he could take under 400k per the rules
Way to much money. I got one exactly like it it only cost me 110.00. Pops right up. He's crazy.
They have been sold out every single year since this aired. It was a mistake letting this one go.
If you pay over $100 for a tree, google more then 5 places.
33 was the number.
My favorite fake tree! These are awesome!!
How did this even get on shark tank, seriously. (I understand Xmas special, but really) .
Grinch
I don't even buy a tree on Christmas. Such a waste. Real or fake.
I don't know why they bring seasonal companies on the show. Barely ever get deal.
Seen it before. But these business owners need to work on keepin the same passion and energy once they complete the initial pitch. His energy dropped substantially once he completed the rehearsed lines and went to ad lib.
Waaaaaaaay too expensive.
if you guys think these trees are expensive, you havnt gone to the stores and seen the prices.
Hate, putting up the tree is a fun experience. even in hotels, high-end business, usually staff will volunteer but obviously get paid to put up the tree, a fun thing to do with colleagues, I really hate this idea, well done for taking the fun out of christmas.
They cost like £20 in England for a real or fake one
I will ELEV8 my ENERGY 💪🔝 💯 🥂 and ELEV8 my LIFE today at
no one is seeing this. this is not a good marketing strategy. give up
They should make a 300usd tree
What ? I bought similar from Walmart for 299 .
I thought trees were like 25$. where are people paying 600+?! you're insane
I buy a real tree for 50-60$ at home depot. Save the tree and cut it up for aromatherapy then by summer burn it for a campfire.....
I wouldn't even want one of those skinny, scraggy trees even if someone gave me one, lol. Look more like poplar bushes. I like a full tree and you can find some beauties for $100 - $200 more or less.
To channel manager:
I would change the titles of the videos: they tells too much about what happen in the video, leaving the experience without surprise.
I would suggest to create more catchy titles that do not tell what happens in the episode.
I will ELEV8 my THOUGHTS 🔝 💯 🥂 and ELEV8 my LIFE today
Spoilers - Barbara is out
I hate when people ship in trees from other states for one week up a year...
Lol asking Mark if he forgot to put up the tree. He's Jewish.
they should invest in some scammy crypto exchange? can the sharks recommend any?
Barbra kilking it w that 8yo boys haircut !
Just don't put up photos of your children in your office working for her
I was out from the moment I saw his product the spirit of Christmas is not having a fake tree but having a real tree and the reason why is the Christmas smell of a tree when you take a whiff of the Christmas tree it means Christmas time
I have a 20" fake tree that someone gave me. It looks real! I have used it for over 10 yrs.. I`m out......
He has already put in 500K in the business. 400K for 40% means whatever he has done over the years was only worth 100K.
No 400k for 40% imputes a million dollar evaluation meaning that he has grown his company an extra 500k
Lol delete this bro
🤡
Even my grandma can do better maths and she has only passed high school
Y'all pay 600 dollars for a xmas tree? I pay less than 100....
Good guy, but why did kevin and Robert say I hate you
500$ for a dang Christmas tree . Not gonna happen
I can't be friends with anyone who uses a fake tree. Especially if they paid $700 for it.
I bought a fake tree for 25$ in a dollar store
$700 is too much for a FAKE tree!
Big Box Retailers sell tons of trees at $300+…. What is he smoking ??
I have a Jesus hut and fake snow i put under the tree and gifts ....that tree looks more like a waiting lobby tree..
