This has probably been my favorite band for like 6 years now. Their best album in my opinion is without a doubt "Edge of the Earth"! You should definitely check the track "A Serpents Tongue" from this album too, fast pace and relentlessness!
Their back with a new album, cycle of suffering and its sylicious! Edge of the earth and monolith for me too but conclusion of an age and dormant heart are close.
Glad you liked it. Don't know if you know but Josh, lead guitarist and vocalist of Sylosis, recently joined the Architects. All sylosis albums are different and u should definitely check them all out and decide which is best yourself. My favorite is Edge of the earth. but I really like them all. Josh is a brilliant guitarist and shines in every album differently.
What's cool is these guys play in standard tuning...THIS SONG IS NOT DETUNED AT ALL. They just choose their chords to make it sound lower than it really is :)
Whoever hasn't listened at least once to Crimson by Edge of Sanity will miss an unforgettable journey to the realm of Dan Swanö, the godfather of swedish modern metal.
You should watch the live version of this. The singer is also the lead guitarist. Insane skills, what a beast. I met him once really down to earth bloke and he gives guitar lessons to his fans
Man I was so happy to find this video. Do something from their Edge Of The Earth album. Maybe like idk, the title track, or why not like from Monolith, songs like Out From Below etc are amazing sylosis was my first melodeath band, still love em till death
I really like this band a lot it's so cool I can go on this channel and get to see new talent... im blown away by this band it's my first time listening and they kick ass
Josh Middleton - lead guitar, vocals For Sylosis Is now one of the Guitarist for Architects. He joined on the Doomsday song and is also on the new Album. Josh is the main man in Sylosis so i'm not sure we will see any more of this great band :( .
Josh said in his ESP M-II Video that their new record with Sylosis is mostly recorded. So let's hope there could be something new out in the near future
Wow! Thank you. You're early today. Nice to see you like this one. Their newer stuff is different from this and the album before this one. The first two albums were way more atmospheric. I've seen them live luckily at Fortarock. There was a brutal pit. During the playing of the band it went bigger and bigger. Afterwards I was a little injured, but that's part of the game😂😤
I remember when jamie left the band i was like well this is a major hurdle, then this and Sands of Time came out and I was, ok they're gonna be fine :P Fav band since 2008, love them
Shylmagoghnar - As All Must Come To Pass Atavistia - Seas of Stars Nothgard - Age of Pandora / Draining Veins / Malady X SuidAkrA - Dowth 2059 / Dimorphic
Give Phazm a try. Either "Antebellum Death'n' Roll" or "Cornerstone Of The Macabre." They are an excellent French band of the so-called extreme kind with lots of groove and nice little touches. Very recommended.
Dark Zerafiih good album without a doubt I find the riffs on edge of the earth more interesting and a bit less generic. They found their own sound with that album
Beyond the Resurrected Born Anew The River Mercy Beyond the sun What dwells within Those 6 songs are my syslosis essential. And ALL HAIL JOSH MIDDLETON RIFF LORD
@SoldOut X generic? First of all, don't call me son. But if anything, conclusion of an age was their most generic album. There's a reason why Josh wanted to move away from that sound. Have you even listened to Out From Below, Paradox, All is Not Well, Awakening, Kingdom of Solitude, Beyond the Resurrected, A Serpent's Tongue, To Build a Tomb, Sands of Time, or Callous Souls? And those are just my favorites. I'm in no way saying that Conclusion of an Age is a bad album, it's amazing, however it's my least favorite album
@SoldOut X you just said that all is not well only has the same riff throughout, which is objectively incorrect. Listen to the full song, and do you really not want anyone to have an opinion that you somehow claim that Josh is "selfish"? Where did you get that idea from and what is your proof?
@SoldOut X no, Jamie left the band, like he did Heart of a Coward. And no, actually listen to the full song, it picks up and becomes an epic song. And is it as good as those songs? I'm not making that argument, but nothing has been able to touch Empyreal in my opinion
This band totally underated..
Love this guys..
One of my favorite Sylosis songs!
You should do Teras
This has probably been my favorite band for like 6 years now. Their best album in my opinion is without a doubt "Edge of the Earth"! You should definitely check the track "A Serpents Tongue" from this album too, fast pace and relentlessness!
Hey man, always love your covers, specially the Revocation ones
EotE and Monolith are HUGE albums! Dormant heart is a great as well.
Sucks they're on hiatus...feel like they had great momentum.
Edge of the Earth has more amazing tracks than Monolith, but for me they reached the absolute top with Out From Below and A Dying Vine
Their back with a new album, cycle of suffering and its sylicious! Edge of the earth and monolith for me too but conclusion of an age and dormant heart are close.
Sylosis kicks ass🤘🤘🤘
middleton's high growls got me
The definition of an understatement.

Nice reaction man! keep reacting to more sylosis! :D
Iv seen them over 10 times , they don't disappoint, give Anterior a listen , they were the support band last time I saw them and they are amazing

Uma das melhores músicas dos últimos tempos. Brutal, técnico e visceral.
Já ouviu a After Lifeless Years?
i fucking love watching this guy react, you can tell how much he loves it with every facial reaction
Hey Ruben! Please do Teras by Sylosis, one of their best songs ever!
Whoever hasn't listened at least once to Crimson by Edge of Sanity will miss an unforgettable journey to the realm of Dan Swanö, the godfather of swedish modern metal.
Never thought I would see a Sylosis reaction..
Teras is a boss tune
he reacted to the song after lifeless years
Perfect Perfomance. This one is the most skillful band ever.
More Sylosis PLZZZZ
Love this song! 😎🤘

These guys are incredible! Check out (idle hands) and (abandon) they can do awesome melodic emotional stuff too

Hi Ruben! It would be awesome if you react to “Mercy” or “Leech” by Sylosis, my favourite songs by them. Anyway, greetings from Argentina!

@VACelkandidat 6077 Spawn Of Posession- Chuch of Deviance ;)
Edge of the Earth
Love this track! The rest of the album is damn good as well. Don't care much for their later stuff though.
FeistyFerret edge of the earth is their best album without a doubt
Fo shizzle
@@transient442 The album before Edge Of The Earth is what got me into them
@@transient442 their best album is Conclusion Of An Age
Dark Zerafiih good album without a doubt I find the riffs on edge of the earth more interesting and a bit less generic. They found their own sound with that album
Mgla - Exercises In Futility VI
A BAND WHO SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE THIS IS ANTERIOR - CHECK OUT THE SONG THE SILENT DIVIDE
Beyond the Resurrected
Born Anew
The River
Mercy
Beyond the sun
What dwells within
Those 6 songs are my syslosis essential. And ALL HAIL JOSH MIDDLETON RIFF LORD
Nah man.... Not a fan of that vocalist :(
@SoldOut X that was their weakest album IMO. I love their thrashy sound, but their stuff after just feels so much better to me
@SoldOut X generic? First of all, don't call me son. But if anything, conclusion of an age was their most generic album. There's a reason why Josh wanted to move away from that sound.
