This is probably the single best episode I’ve watched of This Is Ibrox. Not only did it properly explain the implications of the published set of accounts it highlighted the arduous road back to being financially viable that maybe some fans needed. Well done all. 👏🏼
The no more litigation is a red herring. The elite sports settlement this year was back in August, the accounts are to end June so next year whatever the settlement was will hit the books. I think we really need to have a look at how we run our academy and youth work. If it's costing more than we're able to regain on selling players on the is it really worth it for us.
Expand the stadium capacity I know financially we probably can’t afford to but you would regain the money with season tickets that’s one of the advantages Celtic have over us they have a bigger stadium
Celtic make a profit every year, before making another profit from player trading and before making a profit from Champions League. No Directors, managers or players of any consequence will join your lost cause with your misplaced sense of superiority bringing a toxic, blame culture and the inevitable failure which follow follows. Booing, leaving games early in droves weekly. Your squad value and skill level is in an inevitable downward spiral. Why would they join, not for the money ’cause you’ve got none. Relying on finding ‘gems’ or a bluenose sheikh with loadsa cash is fantasy stuff, good for short term pacification of the deluded only.
There you go again, you died and were shoehorned back in to the lowest division. Your new club were not entitled to join the SPL at the expense of other properly run clubs. The misplaced sense of entitlement is what’s putting you in a precarious position again.
Mate I don't know how they've done it but they've found your socials media accounts and the stuff being said about you on Twitter etc is horrible. Chin up mate.
You can’t just say if rangers can sell players like Celtic. You need creditably for these fees lots of good and proven players previously succeeding. Bassey is only player you can say that about
Good balanced analysis. Thank you. Many have just read the sensationalist headlines and run about with their hair on fire. Your analysis shows there are signs of positive progress in the detail.
The loss is gonna make all of the headlines however when you dig into it - the amortisation and depreciation accounts for all but £1m of that. These are non cash figures. Additionally -the player turnover and cost savings on wages will flow through in the full year 25 numbers. We want to be making profits but the headlines are not as they seem
I’m astonished the “board” are using words like stunning for any part of these accounts. Loss after loss, year in year out due to poor decisions, and where are they ? All left the building,no mention of all these problems at the time, with the people leaving given a statement of praise on the way out the door. If it looks like a jobby, smells like a jobby,is Broon. It’s a fkn jobby. We,the one constant throughout all this pish are getting taken for absolute mugs.
Interest on loans from shareholders doubling says it all for me £2-4m a per. This notion that our owners are funding us from the goodness of their own heart is bullsh1t
Celtic have had a few fortunate circumstances presented to them and they have made the best of those situations. They are perhaps, from a business perspective, one of the best run clubs. Whilst I don’t think mimicking their approch would necessarily fit, somethings can be brought across. Also, we need some new thinking. We, the fans, are the biggest revenue source or at least the second biggest. If we want forward movement, we need to think of putting more in.
A simple question to fans. Would you take a 10%, 25% or 50% rise in Season Ticket prices/standard tickets, in order to win the Scottish Premier League? Would you accept any of those increases over a finite period, say 3 years, to win the Scottish Premier League and break this cycle?
How will that help 🙈😂. If you want to make a difference do what Fergus McCann did. He increased stadium capacity so Celtic have more money "every" year. Raise season tickets but forget the league title, build a bigger stadium. Modern football is about money. For 40+ years Celtic fans have spent £30, for every £20 rangers fans have . This has been building for a long time.
@camdenNW1 If I have to explain that then there probably isn't any point. Building additional capacity costs a great deal of expense. Simpler, in the shorter-term, to raise additional income from tickets prices. No additional cost involved.
Failure rate of "player development" at the cheaper end of market ( £1-5m) is frightening. Watching Celtic doing it & Brighton / Brentford , seems very high rate. Seems more down to buying quantity & hoping one is a gem that covers losses & gives a profit. Failure rate at Celtic over last 10 seasons must be at least 70%, many close to £5m. !!
The same so called unemployed Celtic fans put there hand in there pocket… you dafties let yer club die… unemployed lol, I could buy and sell u daftbawz.
If Rangers fold and ceased to exist then where will Celtic transfer their despicable hatred to? Hearts?😂😂. Isn't the very existence of their fan base is to hate just one team😂. To see Rangers disappear would be catastrophic for Celtic.
Our very existence is to dominate Scotland ✅ we just enjoy the laughing at you lot. No hatred, just bewilderment at the utter joke you lot have become off and on the park. 😂
It works both ways pal, I see as much hatred coming from rangers fans directed to Celtic. Look I can give the banter also but I tend not to be hateful as there is enough coming from fans of both sides. But to answer your question, as a Celtic fan I wouldn't like to see rangers go bust, cause both clubs need each other, without the old firm fixture it will make for a boring season, and the board won't need to spend good money to improve the squad which will have an impact on Europe (not that it's been much to celebrate previous years 😂)
@@jackdeegam7026Rangers need to pack up Scottish football for good and join the English leagues for the finances to survive these days. SPL is a one team league now, it’s dead, boring and has been for years since 2012.
@@ononewheellad. The English Leagues or supporters don’t want Rangers and the associated toxicity. Have you looked at the scenarios needed for Rangers or any other Scottish team to join an EFL division. It ain’t going to happen. Like many Celtic supporters I don’t want Rangers being liquidated again. I love the banter, seeing their pain and the taste of Hun tears. Long May it continue. ☘️☘️☘️

There's a provision in the books for 3.8m for this so the cost has already been recognised.
Our tv deal is the worst in Europe even Norway and Denmark have way better tv deals than us
One simple one is that season ticket prices are raised. Not a great move, but that's just an obvious way to raise income.
£61 million quid in staffing costs per season. It's a good job that's value for money on and off the park, eh!

Well.
The January transfer window's gonna be a laugh.
UEFA FFP rules being broken consistently here.
Leveraged buyout on the way.
Rangers are screwed.
Again.
£300k a week loss but it was expected so that’s ok…🤔
The CL pie is easier sayed than done when we are cutting back on wages and transfers
