Pastelkleurige liefdesliedjes van Britse The Japanese House
Afgelopen weekend al stond ze op het Groningse festival Grasnapolsky, maar nog even bleef ze plakken voor een donderdag in de live-box. The Japanese House is het eenmansproject van de Britse Amber Bain, die bekend werd met dromerige popliedjes om lekker op weg te mijmeren. Haar geluid hangt ergens tussen Haim en The 1975, wat overigens niet zo wonderlijk is gezien ze al sinds haar pubertijd bevriend is met de jongens van de band en ze ook invloed hadden op haar sound. In de live-box doet ze een akoestische versie van twee liedjes van het nieuwe album dat op 1 maart uitkomt.

No, she's not bad. If you listen to the harmony on the track (at least Saw You In A Dream) it is hella weird. Tbh Amber can get out of tune a lot. I love her studio tracks but live she has a tendency to slide up or down from pitches . So I'm not surprised that the harmony girl was struggling to follow her.
