I don't understand how anybody's commenting on her voice good or bad here, she has the auto-tune cranked so high for most of the vocals she's gonna SOUND on pitch no matter how high she is. Like her guitar-playing though.

Wish people would stop glamorising this performance. I love The Japanese House but she's simply not singing well and completely missing vocal cues due to being drunk or high. She's admitted to having issues with alcohol and drugs in the past so it's not pleasant to watch. I'm a musician myself and I'm all for a bit of dutch courage but turning up to a gig in that state isn't a good look
I agree - I adore the Japanese house but every live performance I've seen is just terrible - not sure why it's so different from studio to live but I'm not begging to see her live depsite she lives about 20 mins away from me lol

It's okay, one can appreciate and respect that its a moment in time from the past. One can appreciate the perfomance by itself for what it is. I think its a very raw live one and i like it

It's a vocoder and a harmoniser. She uses them to add a choral effect to her voice. She said she was inspired by The Beach Boys so when she'd record she stack loads of vocal harmonies
