- When I made the Enterprise warp video yesterday, I couldn't help but compare it to another VFX shot I made almost 7 years ago. It was, of course, horrible, so I had to remake it with the added 7 years of experience I now have!
Original description of the previous video:
I like the new Star Trek movies by JJ Abrams. So I always thought this would be the intro to the sequel of Into Darkness, as it returns from its five year long mission. This is not for reupload! You may, however, modify it. REMEMBER to give credit, please? These things are hard to make.
Wow wow wow!!! The drop out really caught me
That's better than the films! I mean... wow!
That out of warp effect is even better than the movies version of it.
Thank you! Funny, because that was the effect that I feel most dissatisfied with...? I feel like I could make it more impactful, but I don't know how just yet...
@@filmicvisuals maybe adding the ship sounds used in the 2009 film when they got ambushed by nero would help make it better.
"She's a beauty" -Scotty
I forgot which one I'm pretty sure the TOS Scotty said that
"I'd like to get my hands on her ample nacelles, if you'll pardon the engineering parlance" - Scotty in 2258 in the Kelvin timeline😎🖖
Who is alive always appears
Congratulations I'm a fan of your work
I'm glad you're here with me!
@@filmicvisuals I had an idea. how about you recreate that scene from Thor 1 when Odin arrives in jotunheim by the bifrost
Here's the scene link: ua-cam.com/video/_IfYZZDTays/v-deo.html
Excellent 👍
Awesome!! 😎🖖
TOO TALENTED
IM TOO FLATTERED
This entire video is beautiful…
The first scene of the Enterprise at warp is basically a reupload of yesterday's video, yes. I just realized then that it was simply too short and I have to give it justice! And now, combined, it's practically a recreation of an old video I made 7 years ago (don't watch that, it's terrible!)
Looks real nice!
Full movie when? ;)
Or, if this can be rendered real-time: full game when?
@@blinking_dodo a game? I wish! 😂
@@filmicvisuals If i ever get good at programming, i'll turn it in a game for ya. :)
Beautiful
Just curious, how long did it take to render this?
it didn't take too long -- i didn't have a stopwatch on hand, but it couldn't have been more than 15 minutes. i use eevee because i'm an impatient person and i want my renders done fast. 😁
@@filmicvisuals 15 mins for a 40 second clip? Doesn't sound too bad for a render.
My desktop would probably take half a day for that... :cries:
@@blinking_dodo yup! i have an rtx 2060. waiting for half a day to render was something i had to put up with in the past but thankfully not anymore! i'm a person who likes to work fast in bursts so any delay even in rendering really takes the life out of me, so keeping renders fast is a great productivity boost.
should have used the JJ-1701-A
