Brad and I became consultants almost a year ago after trying their products and doing some hauls and reviews. People kept asking if we sold Scentsy so we decided to try becoming consultants and we love it. I think Scentsy came at the right time for us since we were getting ready to move into a new home and I was reluctant on burning candles because of all the soot we had in our previous home. Now that we have our new home I rarely burn candles anymore. I think Scentsy has helped fill that void for sure. I actually don’t even enjoy burning candles like I used to. When I do they smell so smoky to me now. I used to buy BH&G and Scentsationals wax from Walmart but I feel like their wax smells funky after so long. Scentsy doesn’t get that funky waxy smell after the scent dies out. I get usually 1-3 days on average with Scentsy but I actually did have a few that have lingered for almost a week. No lie. I prefer Scentsy warmers because I feel like Scentsy wax does the best in their warmers. Yes they are pricey but such higher quality and so beautiful!
Don’t sell it but love it. One cube does absolutely NOT last a week. Whoever claims that must have the worlds most sensitive nose 😂. I easily get 2 days but often times I could push to 3 with certain scents. I think you visited a consultant who had a lot of older scents or poorly stored stock. I order direct and love that. Bonus is I live in Oregon and it ships. From Idaho. Super fast shipping. The new spring catalog is great! Since getting into scentsy more I bought a number of warmers and got rid of all my older more unattractive Walmart and Fred Meyer warmers. 25 watt works best from scentsy.
One cube might last a couple of days in a bathroom. My husband gets about two weeks out of a cube in our master bath. He turns it on when he takes a bath at night. I got him the Jammy Time scent.
Hi Kent, in general I get 1-2 days from 2 cubes in 25W bulb warmers. As with any vendor or any brand, some oils perform better than others. I love many of the fragrances but I still purchase some vendor wax from a few favorite sellers. It sounds as though the bars from the booth you visited were not stored well. It's true that some of the oils can seep out over time, but not to the degree you described.❤️🤗
Ohhh I’m so sorry the consultant didn’t store their wax stash well. 😢 That’s not normal if stored properly. Try melting 4 cubes at a time to get the week long performance. Love hearing your perspective. 🙂 it’s fun to see what the general public thinks about them. I’m so glad you shared!
I’am a Scentsy consultant for the simple reason of loving the products so much. I like that I can safely melt wax without the worry any fire hazards. Their warmers are safe to leave on 24/7 and have a lifetime warranty. I have found so many great scents I personally love and don’t want to be without. I would suggest that you try winterberry Apple tea and arctic kiss. You may really like Luna since you love florals. I’m excited to see what you think. I know Scentsy can be pricey. I also don’t like the price of shipping. 😊 The diffusers are also life. 😂
Omg I’m so excited for your opinions and reviews! Welcome to Scentsy! I am a consultant but I do not actively sell. Basically my commission pays for my shipping costs when I order because I hate paying shipping too! It’s a low start up cost and you get all the testers which is nice to see what you like and don’t like. Right now they are offering both season’s testers with sign up. I don’t like blind buying either so it’s nice to get the testers. As a consultant, you can order the new testers every season.
I’m a wax junkie, not a consultant and have been buying scentsy for a little over a year. I know what you mean when people say it lasted for 7-8 days 😂 not true for me at all. That being said, I have had some of them last 3-4 days in my bedroom. It’s a small room though and I have 2 warmers going 1 scentsy 1 Walmart. The wax does last longer in their warmers because they are lower wattage and don’t burn off the oils as quickly. That’s why I use both one for longevity, one for throw and that seems to work well for me.
I just have started melting scentsy I like them . Brett and brad and Lisa are very good at explaining fragrance. U are awesome too . U explain scents so well . I enjoy your videos of candles and scents always thank u
I look forward to hearing your opinion after melting. I think the scents are nice, but they don't last more than a day or two for me, as most other brand wax melts.
I'm a newer consultant and I ordered before I became one and tried it out for months before making the commitment. Scentsy is a great home fragrance business where they launch new unique scents each season as well as has their core favorites. You can also do Scentsy club so you never run out of your fave scents even if they are discontinued. I get better performance from Scentsy without open flames. If you ever are interested, I did DM you the other day but don't know if you look at those, I'm happy to send you samples.
I was so surprised and stoked that you're trying Scentsy. I think alot of the longevity lies in the combo of the lower temp warmers and wax. Like every wax or candles some string some last some don't. I'm a consultant so if you'd ever like to get your nose on something before you buy it let me know and I can send you a wax dipped felt sample.
I have a friend that sells scentsy so every now and then I take the bait - they do have some great and unique scents. Performance wise - I find the scents nice and strong for about 4-5 hours. Not as long as they claim by any means. The warmers they sell are overpriced with expensive bulbs that are difficult to replace.
I love scentsy! It’s been very therapeutic for me.. but I only follow one or two of the reps. The others are too pushy. I just love the feedback. Appreciate your input! You made me laugh with that intro… I knew that was not you. 😂
I remember Pink Lemon Water was a strong performer in my home, but definitely not at one cube for a week! Wax videos are relaxing to watch! & yes, watch enough of them and you can start to tell who loooooves everything or its 'good' & nothing is hardly ever a miss. I'm a consultant (mainly for self & family only) but am equal opportunity melter - I'll use Scentsy, vendor, retail, etc. I hope you have a good experience with your picks!
Thanks for the input! Yea, Pink Lemon Water is really nice, but it's kinda petered out after a day and a half for me. Honestly, I think in any niche will you encounter those who love everything and find no wrong with a brand.
I’m a huge candle junkie, but I am a Scentsy and wax melt lover too. I feel it’s better to store them flat, rather than hang them like alot of display booths do. I think hanging them is what makes the oils leak and get everywhere.
Former boss babe here. Scentsy used to be excellent, now over priced, sweaty and cheaper alternatives exist. Their burners are cute but get one 2nd hand. You can get max 2days on a cube of say Mystery Man/Appleseed. Very hard to make money or get discount products as a consultant.
I wish I could find a good candle crock for the 3 wick candles. I buy scentsy because I don’t like burning candles all the time. Would rather melt them
I get 2 to 4 days, with warmers going 24/7, from most Scentsy scents. I use 2 cubes in each warmer. Scentsy seems different as an MLM. I signed up as a consultant in 2019 solely for the discount on my own purchases because I was buying a lot. I don't sell to anyone and most of my family and friends don't even know I can sell. I've always told Scentsy people that I don't need a new career and have no interest in selling, and they've all been like, "That's fine. Just get your discount." So I buy for me and get 25% of what I spend back, which is a good deal when you're buying a lot. I wish I could get 25% of what I spend on candles each month back lol.
@@lania3717 I joined during a special. It was like $20, but you got he whole kit and a free warmer for the cost so well worth the $20. They often have those specials so I would wait for one.
Why did Bath and Body Works stop making wax melts? I only like 2 scents from Scentsy, Sugared Strawberry & Bonfire Beach. I haven't found a strawberry wax melt I like besides them.
I used to sell Scentsy years ago...they have some good scents but it just kept getting more and more expensive to be a consultant. Then all the supplies you needed I never really made any money on it basically broke even if not paid into it because I was buying stuff. That being said their wax has not lasted like it used to when I started there. My customers started complaining...you would get 1 maybe 2 days out of them. Some you could barely smells at all. And you are correct the $10 shipping is ridiculous. I now just buy wax from Target is not amazing either but gets the job done for $2 per bar as opposed to $6
Not a consultant, but I am a Spring/Summer Scentsy person. I absolutely LOATHE their winter offerings, and only sometimes will I find something in the fall that's worth my money. BBW candles are warming in my house in the fall and winter. Don't get me wrong, I have a few spring/summer BBW candles, but Scentsy is where it's at for me in the Spring/Summer. TBH, I only recently just got back into BBW because your reviews popped up when I was searching for something to fill the scent void in fall/winter.
Loved the video and can't wait to hear your after-melt reviews. I purchase Scentsy from time to time and like most candle and wax companies, find that there are scents that are good, some that aren't, some that are strong, some are weak, and some last longer than others. I have never gotten a week of scent out of any of the bars - at the most 2-3 days for me. It's been a bit of a process finding what scents I enjoy and I did finally start a quarterly club subscription so I could keep certain scents coming, but it's small - nothing crazy. I like to take advantage of the Flash Sales where I can get items for cheap! I've gotten bars as low as a buck and change, mini warmers for as low as $5, and full size warmers for as low as $15... although not all the sales are THAT good! It sounds like the wax bars that you purchased were not stored very well. I know they can get "juicy" when old and when they get too warm, but those scents aren't that old. Laying flat helps too. The wax is soft, just like you said, and I store any that I'm currently going through or about to go through in my refrigerator and the excess downstairs in my basement where it's cool. So far, I haven't had any problems with "juicyness." 🤞
I do love your channel. I’d like to hear your descriptions of candles, and I do on a candle warmer so sometimes I will purchase a candle just to put in that.
I usually change scentsy wax after 8 hours- agree with you! Curious to see what you think after you melt! You should order some fresh bars… those oily bars sounded nasty. None of mine are like that! 😅
I love scentsy, I have been buying scentsy since 2014, love scentsy their the best!! 😊❤ Tfs 😊 my Consultant is Lisa Rowberry ❤❤❤😊👍the thing with scentsy warmers they have a lifetime warranty and I have many scentsy warmers and love them ❤ hope you enjoy your scentsy bars, I am definitely a Scentsy addict 😀
It sounds like that vendor was selling old, poorly stored wax. I’m a Scentsy consultant, but I do not market the join specials or try to get people to sign up at all. It makes me extremely uncomfortable seeing how hard my up line pushes for people to join. I joined so I could get a discount and all the testers. 😅 Scentsy is hit and miss when it comes to strength and longevity. However, Scentsy wax does tend to perform better than other wax melts. What I think Scentsy does the best is their warmers, but you pay a pretty penny for them.
Am curious on your future melts from the company. Gotta say that is truly BS to get a week from one cube... maybe 2 days top! Always love to hear your thoughts!!
But have you tried the laundry detergent!? I’m obsessed with it and their cleaning products. It’s to the point my husband thinks I should become a consultant. His friend’s daughter makes $10,000, on average, each month. Maybe after I finish my bachelor’s degree. I have another friend who makes about $5000 a month and another who makes $1000 a month. The one who makes more puts more time into her business and creates bundles, gift packages, and always includes free full size and sample size products with each order.
I hate that they are an MLM. It’s annoying to have to buy from someone but I have found several that I really enjoy. Some are super weak and some are powerhouses so it can be an expensive gamble. They do melt at super low temperatures so if you don’t keep them stored in a dark cool place they get sweaty. I will say they have some really pretty rose scents. One of my favorites was a rose/peony scent with marshmallow. It’s called Petal Pals and it’s super strong and fragrant and I get a 3 days with using two cubes. Sorry you got super gooey ones. I hate when they are gooey. When they get mailed to you they aren’t melted and icky. 😂😅
I don't sell Scentsy but I do really like their wax. I generally get 1-2 days from two cubes in a 25 watt warmer. I've only bought warmers on sale or during one of their flash sales at 75% off. I also melt chopped up BBW candles in them and it works great. I find the wax from the candles have a shorter scent duration than the Scentsy cubes.
You might try watching Elizabeth's Scenes and Scents and Patricia Gaetz channel. They are both very honest and cover alot in their you tube. There are definitely some that last a week and are strong if you use Scentsy warmers. I am not a Scentsy consultant. I love to watch your candle reviews of bbw and also love Scentsy. Their are some too lite for me so I watch these consultants to see what I would like to try.
I am a consultant and love the honest reviews of some consultants on YT who don’t just warm Scentsy wax bars. A few try other retail and vendor wax. Some would never discuss other vendor wax. I only watch the ones who are honest and say if it is too light or doesn’t smell great.
HAHA, yes Scentsy fan base rivals BBW in the wax melt world. I've only had the Scentsy wax last longer than a day with their clean/fresh/laundry scents like Clean Breeze. I will say...I've heard their food-grade paraffin wax is designed for the best longevity/performance with only their warmers which are typically low wattage (8-13watts). If you have a higher wattage like many of the non-Scentsy ones (17-24watts) then ppl will tell you that's the reason you aren't getting multi-day longevity 🫠🙂 Do you have a Yankee a Scenterpiece? Their wattage is more compatible. I do love Scentsy's lifetime warranty on their warmers and they do indeed stand behind it. I've used it (no hassle) when an older warmer quit working on me.
I love candles but my number one is waxmelts! I mostly buy small independent vendor wax but like six months ago I started buying Scentsy every so often! I do like some things and I love when they have flash sales because you can get items really insanely discounted but I’m not yet a die hard Scentsy fan. I still think vendor wax outdoes Scentsy. But I’ll continue to buy some Scentsy things that interest me. 😊😊
Love this video! I’ve also been curious about scentsy but that $10 shipping keeps me from buying lol if you say they are worth it then I’ll take the plunge 😅
I love scentsy i have been buying scentsy for almost a year now and LOVE IT and omg some of the warmers are amazing. And the Disney stuff i loveeeee. But yes that shipping UGH hate it!! Next time buy online because you definitely didn’t get the best because she obviously doesn’t stored them right..
I’m not a consultant … I love the easy clean up due to Scentsy wax being a softer paraffin than better home wax and a lot of vendor wax… I usually do the 6 bar bundles
LOL. One cube won't go a week. Their warmers aren't as hot, so I think it makes the scent last a little longer when you use them. The main reason I still buy is that if I really really like a scent, I know I can keep getting it. Walmart or vendor wax you are at the mercy of what they decide to make.
Oh good point on the Scentsy Club. And I feel like like the lower wattage = longer fragrance time applies to any wax melt, but I guess the fact that their own branded warmers are lower wattage just helps reinforce the longer melt time.
They should not be goopy. That was a crummy consultant to even try to sell those. I get mine sent direct, and never goopy. They put ice packs in packages during warmer months. That consultant probably stores them in a hot garage and they were melted.
Love to see the variety but SO glad you're not becoming a rep, lol! My problem with Scentsy is the wax melts are so strong they knock you out of the room within 30 minutes. Far too much for me. The warmers themselves have great designs (especially Disney) so for that, I do patronize.
Theres no way a wax cube lasts a week. Mine also last maybe a day at most. They are way over priced and they have the worst return policy. You cant get a refund and if you need to send back something, you pay for shipping which is also crazy priced as well. I live in canada so everything costs more. I dont like the way they operate but at the same time having said that, i have a lot of warmers because they are really beautiful. But they are very expensive. Even for a stuffed toy that you put a scent pack in can run from 46-55 dollars Canadian which is insane for a stuffed toy. For the wax, i just go to Walmart and get some there for almost half the price. All in all, yes scentsy is nice if you can afford it and disposable income but realistically, its way too expensive and theres alternative out there. BBW is also expensive now but still cheaper then scentsy.
So funny, I was like what, no way😂ive been trying their wax and it’s more misses than hits for me in the wow factor. I think a lot of them are trying to dupe other brands. I do love their warmers! Tfs💕
I mean I think the fragrances are all pleasant enough but the vacuum of Scentsy social media postings make you think they are the #1 greatest product on the Earth. I suppose there's nothing inherently wrong with being a diehard, but definitely skews one's expectations.
@@TheCandleChannel right! Like every scent can’t be that great😂i thought maybe my nose wasn’t working as good as I thought. I keep trying though but it gets overwhelming and expensive as with any company
Eyes nearly fell out when you said you were a Scentsy hun 🤣🤣🤣🤣❌ I've bought lots of Scentsy, when they have sales, the wax melts are really overpriced and not the great tbh, I've found better wax melts from other places. One scent I do love from Scentsy is their cinnamon dish liquid, it's so good, got lots when they had a end of year sale.
My top favorite Scentsy wax is Coconut Cotton, Luna, By the Sea, Aloe Water & Cucumber, Amazon Rain, and Sea Salt & Avocado. BH&G doesn't hold a candle to Scentsy.
I use 2 cubes always in my Target plug-in warmer. This amount isn’t overwhelming for my small bedroom. I wouldn’t mind a larger warmer that would hold 3 cubes for more scent going on. I’ve enjoyed most of what I’ve purchased on the two occasions I have but that $10 shipping cost stops me from buying more.

Yes, I have gotten to melting them! And yea, I normally get about 1-2 days per cube for any wax melt, so an entire week seems crazy.
Loved this video… informative
Love and appreciate all your videos and reviews. They are soooo helpful.
Aw thank you!
I always use 2 cubes of Scentsy.
I like BHG just as well and the price is better!
Same
I don't sell Scentsy but I do really like their wax.
Yes i love both but patricia is definitely mu favorite she is honest honest and i love that!
@@Kashvidaurri1 yes just watched one of her review videos now. Love her.
Excellent recommendations..
Robyn H northern lights is absolutely perfection ❤❤
Your reaction to the oils leaking from the clam shells made me smile. If we make our own goop it's OK but when it's somebody else's goop, eew.
Oh man!!! I got so excited!!! 😳🥳🤨
If you have a higher wattage like many of the non-Scentsy ones (17-24watts) then ppl will tell you that's the reason you aren't getting multi-day longevity 🫠🙂
Do you have a Yankee a
Scenterpiece? Their wattage is more compatible.
I do love Scentsy's lifetime warranty on their warmers and they do indeed stand behind it. I've used it (no hassle) when an older warmer quit working on me.
Better read of the scent by sniffing the bottom btw. I got a feet chip-type smell from GGCrunch 🫣
Grody! Well at least now I know if I ever order again. Thanks for the input!
I own a few scentsy wax warmers they can have some cute ones but haven't bought one in awhile
Love to see the variety but SO glad you're not becoming a rep, lol! My problem with Scentsy is the wax melts are so strong they knock you out of the room within 30 minutes. Far too much for me. The warmers themselves have great designs (especially Disney) so for that, I do patronize.
I have my reservations too... that's why I would've bought from YOU! 😅😊💙
Oh, I love wax melts because I am blind so you do not want me to be trying to light a candle ha ha
Haha yea, wax melts are definitely the safer option!
🤍🤍🤍🤍
I use 2 cubes always in my Target plug-in warmer. This amount isn’t overwhelming for my small bedroom. I wouldn’t mind a larger warmer that would hold 3 cubes for more scent going on. I’ve enjoyed most of what I’ve purchased on the two occasions I have but that $10 shipping cost stops me from buying more.
