Happy Birthday Ryan! I just joined the sign duo community not too long ago when your videos started popping up on my UA-cam page. I’ve been enjoying watching your videos during this pandemic. Love your videos as always and my favorite was knowing that you’re currently doing this for a living and loving it and it’s not “work” but something you enjoy. Makes me happy when people can find that for themselves. Also - I’m the same way with the marriage thing. Been w my boyfriend for almost 15 years. I've just recently come across your videos. After watching several, I have picked up on some words. I am talking to a deaf man now, met online and in person. I'm willing to learn for him, and your videos make me smile 😃
Better late than ever, i guess? Thank you very, very much for giving us a place to learn such a gold language as sign and for especially, teaching us more about respect. Much love from Albania! ✌🇦🇱
I took ASL for 3 years in university because I've always been fascinated by different languages in cultures. I found this channel, and LOVE this as a way to practice my very basic ASL AND see this beautiful relationship. Thanks for sharing!
This is the exact reason that I'm trying to learn ASL so if someone ever walks into my store or I ever encounter someone that is deaf i can communicate in an effective and respectful manner.
happy birthday ryan!!! sorry i'm late, i would've watched the video as soon as i got the notfifcation, but i was actually busy practicing my sign language on skillshare! thanks so much for the 2 month free trial, its really helped me out a lot!!
Just discovered you guys. first off, hope it was a good birthday and secondly you guys really make me want to get back into signing. I'm heard of hearing and I did do a year's course of BSL level 1 few years back so I think I'll be looking into online courses in the UK to Freshen up on it. Take care you guys.
Ryan and Ellen, I love what you're doing so much! You are beautiful human beings and I'm grateful for this window into your world. Keep doing what you're doing - you're amazing.
Woah you guys are the first UA-camrs I can say I've followed from the beginning - I didn't realise how amazingly your channels grown! I started following you back when you went to Knott's Berry Farm! Sending you love from Scotland 🏴💖
I love watching Ellen sign, there's just something so memorizing about it! Don't get me wrong, Ryan signs just as beautifully, but the way Ellen's fingers move is very captivating!
I told my ASL II teacher about you. We watched your last video in class today. Absolutely love you guys. You've taught my class and I new signs and things about the deaf community. Thanks so much for doing this. ❤️❤️❤️ Stay safe!
Happy Birthday Ryan! 🎂🥂 I loved the beginning of the video where Java'd nose was sticking out of the blanket. Honestly, it isn't anyone's business if or when you guys decide to get married or have kids. I have a friend who is married, but she and her husband decided not to have kids, and instead they have three small dogs. Animals love you no matter what and I feel like they are the best version of a kid that you could have.
So 🙋♀️ I'm new here! I love watching you guys, it feels like home 😍 so a lil about me, I grew up in a non hearing household! My dad was born deaf, and my mom caught rubella as a small child and caused one of her ear drums to bust. So they met at the school for the deaf. 😍
I love watching your videos, & I am new to watching you guys. I took a sign language class many years ago, & only recently, at my job, come in contact with a deaf person, & was looking to learn some signs, & was looking up videos on youtube, & you were a suggestion the next day on my feed. I try not to judge or assume anything about anyone or about a couple or family, but it warms my heart to see the 2 of you together, & how open you are with posting these videos on youtube. Hope you are both well in this crazy covid time, & hope you both have many more years of happiness & love! (And like I said, I love watching your videos-please keep them coming! You both are truly inspirations!)
Thank you for including my assumption! I’m both shy and an introvert as well! I have actually been really shy about commenting on your videos lately because your channel is growing so much and I always think my comment will get lost in the sea of comments and you guys will never see it haha. But I’m still here and watching every video you upload! I love your guys channel 🤟 And HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN! Hope you had a lovely birthday! 🥳
Hey Mia! I totally understand 😄 thanks soo much for being here ever since. We truly do appreciate that we have the privilege of knowing you Mia, ever since the earlier days. I had a great birthday, just very relaxed! Hope you are staying safe ❤️🙏🏻🤟
I love what this channel provides the public. Many hearing people have a hard time seeing the beauty and benefit the two of you share. ASL can be useful in other situations and I am grateful and embrace the language and culture and I hope the rest of the world will be able to as well. I wish Ryan a joyful, safe, and a fun filled happy birthday and sending much love to the both of you from the state of Hawaii!! 🥳🤙🤟
I love how your videos are really just you guys talking and living your lives, while also giving your audience so much education about your relationship and the deaf community. It’s pretty amazing.
Learning about the hearing and non-hearing experience is really great, but I think the thing I personally love the most about following this channel is that, we're slowly witnessing two people on a journey about learning how to love each other better. :chef's kiss: you guys are so awesome
Emily P no its on a different device, I have seen one of their videos a long time ago but never subscribed I didn't think so at least but it subscribed me
Im really happy you guys got engaged. Im a big advocate for marriage i used to think the same way being in a long term relationship marriage makes no difference but it really does. Marriage is completely different from dating its a whole different field and connection. And not to be morbid but in a life, death situation in the hospital you have no say in anything unless youre the legal spouse otherwise it goes to the family. Theres many other benefits and im so happy for you guys.
Im from Australia and I am in a deaf and hearing relationship. You guys help me so much because this isn't something that others i know can relate to. Happy birthday Ryan!
Man, you guys are "boss" over the same things my hubs and I are. I love you guys. You are so kind and loving to each other and to Java. Thanks for sharing this little part of your lives with everyone.
I started watching you guys a few months back here and there. I beleive that I started with one of the videos of you guys going through drivethrus and seeing how people responded to Ryan. It inspired me to lean ASL to be able to bridge that gap. I guess I had never realized how much that could mean to someone as silly as that sounds. Thank you so much for your videos!
Question for Ryan: Have you ever tried bone-conduction headphones, and if so, what do you think of them? I use them while swimming, and it’s surprising how effective they are under water. I know it’s different for everyone based on which particular hearing pathway is affected, so I was wondering if you had any personal experience with them. Cheers!
You guys are so awesome and inspirational!! What's so cool about your videos for me is that I can see the interaction between the Deaf and hearing cultures. I'm hearing impaired and was raised in the hearing culture, but I've also been discovering the Deaf culture so now I'm a mix of both cultures. :)
Like you said about building a bridge, I don't personally know any deaf people but if I ever do, you've helped me understand how not hearing doesn't mean you're all that different
Ryan is so wise !! Me and my sister are learning sign now but we are hearing it's just amazing the language of sign,I signed Ryan's name and made a sentence for the first time
I teach adults in a program for Deaf and hard of hearing students. They are always searching for positive role models. You two are really inspiring, open and transparent. I especially enjoy how you give both perspectives and you are always very respectful of each other. Thank you for sharing! 🤟
Love the answer for who is the boss between your relationship. It is really sweet to reiterate that you both have strengths and weaknesses that you fill each other's company. More power and more happiness to both of you. Keep safe.
i'm not deaf, i know noone who is deaf, i have no conection or interest in deaf culture, i'm not even from USA. I just find you guys likeable, so here is my sub, i watched a few of your videos and they put a smile on my face so thank you. I wish both a great 2021.
OMG!!! I had my first encounter with a deaf mother at work today and thanks to you guys, I was able to somewhat communicate with her. From all your videos, I've learnt how to be considerate and make them feel comfortable. Hopefully I have more opportunities!
I know this video is a bit old but I stumbled upon your channel the other day and this video really made me smile. My wife and I are like you guys. We started dating in high school and everybody and their brother said once we got to college it wouldn't last. And then in college everyone said we shouldn't get married cuz we really hadn't dated other people. Well 30 years later we're still together. So you guys ignore everyone and walk your own path. I'm sure you didn't need me to tell you that but it can and does work. The key (that you've already figured out) is to be a team. All the best, Jay

Thanks! No worries. We’re so happy you’re getting some practice in 😁
@@SignDuoChannel oh my goodness! i cant beleive you guys replied to me thanks so much
The most adorable couple on earth
Just discovered you guys. first off, hope it was a good birthday and secondly you guys really make me want to get back into signing. I'm heard of hearing and I did do a year's course of BSL level 1 few years back so I think I'll be looking into online courses in the UK to Freshen up on it. Take care you guys.
13:50 aww he looked so proud of how she answered that
Ryan and Ellen, I love what you're doing so much!
Wow 💕 thanks you so much for being with us for so long. That’s crazy and amazing!
You 3 are the sweetest trio on this planet. Thanks for sharing and showing the CC as it really helps! Love you guys too!
I love watching Ellen sign, there's just something so memorizing about it! Don't get me wrong, Ryan signs just as beautifully, but the way Ellen's fingers move is very captivating!
Love that vlog segment in the middle☺️ so sweet and endearing to see your family play together ♥️
They had 2 hearing children lol me and my brother 😍 so I learned as I grew up
I love watching your videos, & I am new to watching you guys.
I love your guys channel 🤟
And HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN!
Your lady doesnt seem to look at your hands when you sign. Like she can read your words by looking in your eyes. Thats amazing
Y'all should leave more clips in of you two just goofing around, it's really heartwarming to see 🙌✨🥰
I love how your videos are really just you guys talking and living your lives, while also giving your audience so much education about your relationship and the deaf community. It’s pretty amazing.
Learning about the hearing and non-hearing experience is really great, but I think the thing I personally love the most about following this channel is that, we're slowly witnessing two people on a journey about learning how to love each other better. :chef's kiss: you guys are so awesome
I don't ever recall subscribing to this channel which is strange because I just started taking sign language a month ago, what a coincidence
That is really strange lol, hopefully you find our videos useful though Daniel!
The algorithm is watching! Did you view your course content while logged into any Google account in another tab?
Emily P no its on a different device, I have seen one of their videos a long time ago but never subscribed I didn't think so at least but it subscribed me
As an ASL2 Student I really appreciate using your videos for comprehensive practice. You guys are awsome!
Happy happy birthday Ryan!! 🥳🥳🥳
Thank you Annika!
In the beginning when Ellen leans on the coffee press, I felt that. Such a 2020 mood.
Happy birthday, Ryan, from a fellow Scorpio! :D
Im from Australia and I am in a deaf and hearing relationship.
You guys help me so much because this isn't something that others i know can relate to. Happy birthday Ryan!
silly question but if ryan‘s a human lie detector, can elle ever throw a suprise birthday party👀 happy belated birthday!!
NOPE! ahahaha
Man, you guys are "boss" over the same things my hubs and I are.
I love you guys. You are so kind and loving to each other and to Java. Thanks for sharing this little part of your lives with everyone.
Love from India for you guys, I just stumbled across your channel a year ago and since then I've enjoyed your videos. Hope you guys see this 😁😁😁
Love from USA 🇺🇸 and glad you are with us Sebastian!
@@SignDuoChannel Love you guys so much, I'm glad to be here.
Cheers!
I'm really curious about the answer!
the counter- it's so shiny-
Like you said about building a bridge, I don't personally know any deaf people but if I ever do, you've helped me understand how not hearing doesn't mean you're all that different
*Gets a notification during class*
Me: This is more important
hahah pay attention! This video will still be up after class I promise 😜
Omg! You liked my comment 🤧
Ryan is so wise !! Me and my sister are learning sign now but we are hearing it's just amazing the language of sign,I signed Ryan's name and made a sentence for the first time
I love how Ellen never tries to speak for Ryan and lets him speak in sign language for himself
I teach adults in a program for Deaf and hard of hearing students. They are always searching for positive role models. You two are really inspiring, open and transparent. I especially enjoy how you give both perspectives and you are always very respectful of each other. Thank you for sharing! 🤟
hi,my name's Camilla,i'm deaf, i'm from italy and I study English
Hi Camilla 🙋♀️ How R U?
Love the answer for who is the boss between your relationship. It is really sweet to reiterate that you both have strengths and weaknesses that you fill each other's company. More power and more happiness to both of you. Keep safe.
I love ur videos y’all are amazing
i'm not deaf, i know noone who is deaf, i have no conection or interest in deaf culture, i'm not even from USA.
I just find you guys likeable, so here is my sub, i watched a few of your videos and they put a smile on my face so thank you. I wish both a great 2021.
2:18 Ellen's little yay
XD i love it
OMG!!! I had my first encounter with a deaf mother at work today and thanks to you guys, I was able to somewhat communicate with her. From all your videos, I've learnt how to be considerate and make them feel comfortable. Hopefully I have more opportunities!
I have a question for Ryan that ive always wanted to know the answer to
Can deaf people speak in there head??
They're the most kind people I have ever seen if something bad happens to them I'll cry 😭
How is Java so darn CUTE!!!
All the best,
Jay
