- Leaves are one of the best free resources we can use in our vegetable and flower beds. As a gardener, i have found that there are vast amounts of resources around us that we can use in the garden to create a well-balanced and healthy ecosystem and soil. Having high-quality living soil is my biggest goal when it comes to gardening because without it, we aren't getting the nutrient-packed vegetables that we otherwise would have.

Hey Amber!! Good to hear from you, I hope your winter is going good and you had a good Christmas and New Years! Thank you 🙏 😁 I even use regular milk and dairy products in a separate compost bin but dairy never goes directly onto my growing beds.
He loves helping out in the garden just like my other little ones so I’m one happy daddy 😊

I used to believe those who said gardening was expensive! Now I’ve learned to have reverence for all resources and use pretty much every bit of food/organic material waste either in the garden or for the chickens 🐓
I walk in park yesterday looking for morels ,don’t find any but I find pile of leafs decomposted ,, on so today is raining but soon have sunshine I go to get them fir my garden for garlic .

@Expedition Homestead l make willow cuttings and put them in water just so l can use the water on my hydrangea hardwood cuttings and tomato seeds. Once they start to grow and germinate, l switch to compost tea recipe from Dr. Elaine Ingham on youtube to increase my soil biology.
