Fieldsports Britain - Wind Powered Ratting
Вставка
- Опубліковано 11 гру 2024
- David finds himself in a flailing maelstrom of terriers, vermin and men, women and children with sticks as he joins the Kent & Sussex Ratters for a farmyard foray. There are rats everywhere, and it’s their job to tease them out and into the smiling jaws of the terriers. On a more civilised level, James Marchington visits Henry Darling’s pheasant shoot in Norfolk, where Henry tries to solve the Mystery of the Missing Partridges. We are giving away Gun Dog Gin, the podcast this week is about wild meat and foraging, Meredyth has the news on the News Stump and the best hunting and shooting videos are on Charlie’s Hunting UA-cam. Keep it #FieldsportsBritain.

Another brilliant episode Charlie and the team!
Ratting looks like a LOT of fun.
Watching this is a ritual in our house, if we haven't made it out on a shoot day this really helps till we get out again
Thank you. ATB David
Another brilliant episode Charlie and the team
The ratting was great, those little dogs get amongst it!
excited as a kid in a lolly shop with $10.00 in his hand. lol.
Totally enjoyable show again.Well done to all.
Another great show Thank you
Charlie ,this ratting ought to be regular fodder on the channel ,great sport ! .
Great show again guys👍
Great show as usual, Thanks Charlie for adding my video to the hunting UA-cam bit 👍👍🤠
Loved it lad can't wait for the next
Great as always
Great video guys!!👍😂🐀🐀
Really good how lads. Well done!
I wonder if Henry Darling is any relation to the late John Darling."..
Whacko! Great sport. You couldn’t do that here in South Australia, there would be big, nasty and deadly Brown snakes 🐍 in there too.
Crikey those ratters were a rough bunch
The app for dangerous roads is a bit silly, making your phone beep will just distract drivers and probably make some start using it while driving.
Great show as usual..But I feel the news section is so far away from most of us in terms of news easily repeated from other news sites ....which have nothing to do with a Fieldsports Britain average member.... tonight's was exceptional long on foreign news ...
Once again... apologies for this view
Thanks Darren - it's a problem. What we try to do is reflect the whole world of shooting and hunting sports, maybe from a British cultural standpoint. About 75% of our viewers are overseas, so we know its hard to get right. Last week was very 'world'. Also, hunters around the world have wide opinions on what constitutes good practice. / Charlie
Another enjoyable episode. I've noticed a few comments from anti hunt people about the consumption of alcohol on shooting days and could they call the police and state shooters are drunk in charge of deadly weapons. Those of us who shoot know this is only a nip or one glass at best, but could this be a way for them to interrupt a shoot day with a police visit, maybe if we didn't show it in any filming to fuel their fire?
Thanks, Ian. Good point. We take the view that shooting sports are so clearly a matter of citizenship and responsibility that it's not an issue - and we try to balance that with the fact that shooting is also fun. Society may reach a stage where alcohol is banned at shoots and hunts but I hope not. As for 'playing in to the hands of the antis', there is so much they hate about what we do, I don't think they could make an alcohol charge stick. I hope I'm right. / Charlie
I honestly believe most anti field sports supporters are only doing it as they perceive field sports a pursuit of the rich and landed gentry. Therefore these little darlings think it's a class war,and as we know nothing socialist love more than to attack "money"
Well, I hope I don't have to shoot too many "rocketing cock pheasants" like the one killed at 21:25, tops 15m, no wonder the steel #3 shot killed it! It should just about have plucked it and eviscerated it at the same time. That's the beauty of "steel"!
Why are we back on to the discussion about non-lead shot? We know it isn't as efficient lead yet. We known it doesn't pattern like lead and we know if you want the best alternative, shoot tungsten. Which is 5 times more expensive but absolutely brilliant.
Poor fayre tonight, apart of course, from those little ratting terriers which were superb. Get stuck in!
First!
As ever :)
Why don't anti hunters protest rat hunting? ;]
