Whooper's North American Counterpart is the Trumpeter Swan whereas the N.A. counterpart for Bewick's is Tundra Swan.

True although Tundra and Bewick's are the same species whereas Trumpeter and Whooper are not.

Interesting, I had heard of the whooping swan but not the bewick swan
