I fully intend to follow up The Stalker someday. The thing that ultimately got in the way for me was college, and I also wasn’t sure how to expand on the game with its existing design constraints. Maybe I just wasn’t imaginative enough with the design, but I definitely feel like I could’ve balanced it better. There was only so much gunplay variety I could add to shooting at an invisible guy.
A stalker 2 would be amazing or just an update adding more viable weapons and classes as at the minute for me at least the only good classes are Engineer and I guess wildcard and the only good weapon is the AK
Gee man i surely hope you do. Stalker took up so much time in my childhood is still insane, not too long ago i was still drown in nostalgia thinking about roblox back then, and the stalker game. I still remember trying to input codes so i can get cosmetics
I played that a lot. It sucks, because I feel like I would tell myself during those times that I’ll “play it later” when these games began to die off and then when I’m reminded of them - they are dead.
The Stalker Reborn isnt actually dead. Its definetly not thriving, but it isnt dead. Theres a community of 80-60 people that randomly sometimes fill up this game and play it, me included. The game comes back alive randomly and when it doesnt it sits at 2-0 players. Me and (i guess) the people play this game to enoy this simple gem that might die any moment if roblox decides to do a funny and update part of their source code
no one seems to have mentioned Bump in the Night or Hunted, surprisingly edit: nvm Bump in the Night is basically just Darkness 2 💀same creator as Stop It, Slender
This video hit close to home. The front pages of the bronze era / dev era were filled with round based spooky horror games, and a lot of them were taken from source / GMod games. (e.g. the Stalker was based off of The Hidden: Source (IIRC), Murder originated from the GMod Game Mode of the same name, etc. etc.) It was a gay old time and one of my fave genres of ROBLOX games. SUCKS THAT A LOT OF THEM ARE GONE NOW. There's a couple games like this nowadays such as MM2 and TUC but they're not as cool as the olden and golden times of these games. Murder Mystery 2 stripped away any horror element its prequel had, and I tried playing the undead coming with some friends but they immediately hated it, so I can only really go at it alone (guess it's a loner game for loners like myself...). Your selection of these games were cool, NICHE, blasts from the past and it's nice seeing people who also experienced these games. I never really got into incursion and to be honest, wasn't really interested with actually getting into the game. I loved Darkness I and II, and yes, the R6 black guy will forever be an iconic spooky design. Stop it Slender! and the Stalker series were both really fun and occupied a lot of my time in various points of my ROBLOX Journey. Don't Blink was made by a guy who made a hunger games... game, and I mostly played that even though it sucks. Don't Blink passed me by. Deception Infection was super fun and probably my go-to game that I want remastered or repopulated. Unfortunately for me, I really got into it when the community occupying the game was small, weird, and kinda toxic (circa 2016). There were a lot of pompous faux-intellectuals there who tried to flex how mature or in-the-know they were with political affairs. It was REALLY WEIRD. They were edgy and the game was typically filled with those types of people, meanwhile 13 year old Healer is just tryna avoid talking to them as much as possible and reap any fun there was to be had. There were also off-hours where nobody would play, and this was before personal servers were commonplace, so that would be a greenlight for me and the boys to run a few rounds and it was fun as hell. Love me some Deception Infection. To add to this list, I would put in The ROBLOX Plague. It's hide and seek but with an infection theme. If you got caught you became seeker infected. I didn't really have a good time on it but it's one of the examples of the round-based games. CloneTrooper1019's Murder, despite being the least successful out of the big 3 (i.e. Loleris' The Mad Murder, Nikilis' Murder Mystery), was the best on a production and gameplay standpoint. It was probably the most faithful adaptation to the GMod version, too. Also 05:26... so sorry to hear that. I know your pain. If it makes you feel better, we woulda been the best of friends way back when.
ye i remember the roblox plague (I remember every game I spent money on LOL) and also this game called patient zero. When I made this video I think anything related to a zombie was out of my head (Im a little burnt out LOL) I kind of regret not doing a honourable mentions, since I didnt even talk about vampire hunters, or this weird game called The Lightness
Funny thing, SCP 173's original 4chan post was posted *before* don't blink aired, so none of them got inspired by the other, as scp 173 wasn't based on the angels, and the angels concept was made much before 173 was created, but didn't aired in order for 173 to be inspired by them, they just happen to coincidentally share the same concept.
I remember redeeming a bunch of codes on Stop It Slender! and getting a shit ton of cosmetics, then I spent alot of time finding the perfect combination of those cosmetics for Slenderman.
The Stalker: Reborn is honestly my favorite in this era. I really was going to create ANOTHER rebirth but chose not to change what's already golden. Hopefully the STALKER's influence can be implemented into other games around Roblox more
Contact: A-888 is better imo, got sick of playing in public AA lobbies and not being able to type fast enough to get my team to help me out resulting in our entire team lacking critical information and getting backstabbed (my right ring and pinky finger are bludgeoned from falling and the rest of my fingers and wrist have arthritis so I can only type with two fingers at a time). In Contact there is a legitimate strat where you can just sit next to the shop and pick off enemies with a shotgun or handgun and buy traps, no risky sacrifices or lack of teamwork, the entire team moves with eachother when they need anchors and we can just use tower plates to power through rust buckets with no weapon at all. and the best part is that New players don't NEED to grind for tokens and skill decks, they can just use a turret or stim gun class and use it efficiently whenever they need to and it works completely fine. makes the game much more enjoyable with new players because they can hold their own with the default weapon you have equipped when you first join and every weapon is powerful enough to carry you @@brickwmi
@@brickwmi It has the main objective of killing an invisible threat, but it comes with extra mechanics like anchors, classes, more guns, armor plates, turrets, terrors, etc.
Dude, Imagine Darkness with current lighting technology. It could be even scarier than what it was. It is also my favorite game of all time alongside stop it slender. it was actually terrifying and didn't need to use screamers or jumpscares just to be scary.
The Stalker and Stalker Reborn are awesome. As a developer CloneTrooper1019 doesn't get enough praise. If you bought VIP for the first Stalker game, you got it for the sequel for free. I have never seen another pro-consumer move like that on any Roblox game. He also makes really great stuff, even when he follows trends like murder mystery games. He fixes common issues like how in his murder mystery game he made it more difficult for the sheriff and murderer to team (which was a common problem for murder games), by forcing everyone's appearance and name to change as well as giving everyone the opportunity to get a gun by collecting green props.
@@FungIsSquish Hi there Fung. I've been a lot more active off of twitter. First I restricted myself onto an alt account until I animated something, and when I still didn't animate anything I banned myself from Twitter/X altogether until I do. I still have you on Discord if you ever feel like playing a game or anything. (Though I'll probably be unavailable for a week or two since I've got TONS of homework I haven't done) Nice catchin' ya again though.
Many people don’t seem to acknowledge that CloneTrooper is literally responsible for almost entirety of horror games details. iirc he created realistic proximity sounds for actions such as walking on wood, stone, glass etc. One of his most used creations yet
Secondhand Studios is a really big fan of abandoning their games. As you had mentioned previously, Incursion and Cruise Ship Tycoon were likely abandoned for games that made more money. The kicker is, Retail Tycoon 2 has been showing the same treatment, the last update being a valentines event...last year. Apparently, the game is dropped because the devs are making their "dream game" which is some bloxburg roleplay game. I'm not against them making their dream game, but its even more of a tragedy that a remaster of one of the classic renowned roblox tycoons are even being left to rot.
I've heard the original coder for Incursion left a long time ago. As far as I know, Secondhand Studios doesn't have a business email, and haven't replied to me on X. Would buy the game if I could tho.
@@Breadian Genuinely sounds like a really good idea, I've always struggled with coming up with game ideas so this has brought me to the idea to recreate this game or atleast make something like it. I'm gonna propose the idea to a friend of mine and see if they like the idea, we could work something out which shouldn't take too long.
Who remembers Monstrum? It got remade (with far less content as it hasn't passed the beta stage) but unfortunately by the time it got released it was too late as the player count was already gone so it ended up also getting discontinued (you can find said game through the group page of the old Monstrum game, I don't advise to search for it because for some reason it wouldn't appear) Also the Stalker:Reborn is actually broken if you know what can be done, a map (Sandstorm) got removed because there was a spot where you could get out of bonds that not many people knew about
I had to look the name up to see cause theres another game unrelated to roblox called monstrum too but when I did the memories came FLOODING back. That game was so much fun and I even remember Roblox did an official review of that game. I really miss those.
@@Interstellar411 It's a game similar to The Stalker: Reborn (a 1 vs 10 juggernaut style horror game) but a key difference is that the monster abilities are tied to their own unique characters making them easier to memorize and fight against other than that it's a matter of mechanic/aesthetic differences between these 2 games
its sad but it seems like the games are often abandoned or the concept is not sustainable to today's standards of roblox. but you can clearly see a game like lethal company, whos dev was once a prominent roblox dev was able to have a breakthrough outside of the platform
A major thing roblox horror games lack nowadays is atmosphere.. I always thought it was just an expression of my innocence from childhood (being more prone to fear and shit), but looking back now, games back then really were scarier. Developers used to have really unique takes on horror. We could use more things like it in today's society.
y'all remember greenwood town? (aka cops n robbers), the ghost in the sewers used to make my blood run so cold whenever I encountered it💀 shit haunted my nightmares
8:08 no shot the FTF dev said the game added "double jump" and pointed it as one of the highlight changes *within the last year* i am going to commit atrocities
as someone who's played ftf very avidly for a long time, im also really disappointed how quickly the game devolved into nothing but skin and map updates lmao they never finished the base game and I don't understand no one on the dev team has taken it into their own hands cause it isn't that hard to script in the rest of the beast perks for crying out loud
I haven't experienced much of the other games, but I can certainly put a word in for Incursion. You handled the breakdown of gameplay and analysis about it really well in a way that I think works for most players who'd want to try it out as a cult classic game a good understanding of the mechanics and features. As another comment earlier stated, alot of games covered were from GMOD games, and Incursion is no exception. It's a game based off the Garry's Mod gamemode Morbus. Incursion really was a great game and honestly at times I prefer it over it's original inspiration, much like how I prefer the game Anomalous Activities over it's source game, The Hidden. The best hypothetical incursion update I personally think is the one you stated, which is new items and perks. With how FIB lighting changed lights out from what it used to be, Glowsticks from Morbus would be a good addition these days. I think alot of people think Incursion needs more than it really does, it already has a very strong gameplay loop that remains fun round after round. The only major change I could see being good for Incursion is the Cyborg role from Morbus (or rather, the remade version of Morbus that one of the old devs now work on), which was basically just a confirmed human that spawned in with better stats, but only spawned in high player count lobbies. JTK (justified teamkill) is a really good system, though I will clarify you can't JTK someone who shoots someone else, in the games eyes that makes you open to be JTK'd. And if that player is a human and you would lower their HP below a certain threshold (it's very low, like 10%), you will be killed instantly. So never join in a gunfight if you don't know who started it, you can end up joining a body bag group of 5 players who all shoot at a human and suicide on them. JTK is also on a timer, but it's really lenient (it's like a minute), so don't take too long to fire back if you get damaged. I do think Incursion was abandoned for monetary reasons as well, but Haggie was the only coder at the time for Incursion if I remember correctly, and now he's got multiple games to work on (though alot of them arent updated anyway lol), so people asking for an update like it would be really easy should realize Haggie would probably have alot to do, especially because there's no telling if his coding has evolved from what it was when Incursion came out so it would be hard for him to translate his old code. Incursion's progression system in game is snowballing from kills, and out of game it's perks. Personally I'd like to see the Morbus alien ability tree added, which granted aliens in-game points based on them killing humans and contributing to their team. It granted abilities, stat increases, or unique effects. Something like that would make Swarm Alien alot more fun to play, as it's pretty boring in it's current state unless you can get your hands on melee weapons or grenades. Incursion these days is alot more barren, it was more likely to find a niche single server a few years ago when I played religiously. From what I've seen of the friends who still play though, your video has had people play the game again, so thanks from the community to you, hopefully you convince people to try it out and see if they enjoy it. It really is fun and has alot going for it. At higher levels the game is very notably human-sided, but at a basis where most players are, it's pretty well matched and enjoyable. If you're reading this, go try it out, it is quite fun. I personally have 5 million points, which is why I think I have a good basis to state my opinions on the game. I'm SilverSwordMyrmidon, or AstraAegis, the #2 best Incursion player on the leaderboards, and #1 if you compare stats to playtime (I've got half the total playtime of the top 3, Nova and Imp). If you want confirmation of that fact, you can check out the fact that SilverSwordMyrmidon's display name is AstraAegis on roblox. Great coverage of Incursion, I'm really happy with how this video covered the community. Thanks for your work on it!
Dawg in that first part where you talked about weeping angels was such a throwback. Me and my siblings used to be big "whovians" and I remember weeping angels legitimately scared me. But yeah, as the show dragged on they ruined them, and then somewhere around 2015 we gave up on the show altogether, and now its a hollow husk of its former glory :(
I never grew up with many of those games but Before The Dawn Redux, that was such an amazing game and there was really nothing quite like it. it eventually got messed up, unbalanced, and overcomplicated with the developers just adding too much, and then they abandoned it. sad :c
I remember playing that game a ton, the later stuff really soured and killed the game which was worsened when the devs would leave it to rot. The worst part is that when I actually managed to find it after STN replaced it, people were abusing the meta-gears/killers that killed the game in the first place.
@@amanwithabird7778 bro, I remember I found a way to abuse the riot hero to such a comical extreme that any round where I was hero ended with a survivor victory
i remember playing this one asymmetrical horror game back in 2013 and it was amazing. i can’t remember the name, but you’d have to do objectives around the map while an invisible monster tries to kill you. you had a camera with a battery that enabled you to see it, and you could use your flash to stun it for a few seconds. it was genuinely terrifying, but i can’t find it anymore:(
asymetrical horror games were and are my favorite type of games, even if some were almost the same i would play them for hours, now every now and then bc i dont play roblox a lot i go to anomalous activities and sometimes i go to incursion, dont blink, etc and wait in the lobby for some ppl to join (luckily it worked 3 times on incursion recently and it was so fun to play). and, uhh idk. btw i really liked that you talked abt this :) (and sorry for bad english, its my second language :v)
Oh my god Incursion, Stalker, Don’t Blink and Slender were games I constantly played years ago. Especially Don’t Blink and Stalker, I loved the concept and thought they were great games. Always played with bunny ears in Stalker lol. Miss those moments a lot but glad that they happened.
I miss stop it slender. I stopped playing when every slenderman started exploiting a glitch that let you appear right in front of the survivors, but I still miss it.
I loved incursion back then, it was so good and I played it every day. I checked it a few months ago and was sad to see it dead, but me and my friends managed to revive a server by just playing it and eventually a whole other group of people joined
You should make a video about minus elevation, its a horror game roguelike where you buy items and then go into an elevator with many monsters and secrets, or blox cards that is an card game (obiously) with many references to games and users, such as deception infection or stickmaster luke, i think you would enjoy them
Minus Elevation mentioned that game is PEAK It's difficult but fun at the same time, the only thing that's kinda boring is trying to complete the bestiary because of rare entities but other than that it's one of my favorite games
Eh as a minus decent player minus elevation disappointed me you didn’t have to manage power or close the door on the monitor or get the monster to another section of the map all you do in minus elevation is run around get the buttons and run back to the elevator kinda disappointed me Ngl.
I actually love these type of games whenever I'm bored I usually check "the stalker" to see if there's some people playing and when there is I usually join
It can definitely be repetitive. I remember when I was young I bought the x3 stalker gamepass and ended up deleting it from my inventory because of how it made it so repetitive to play.
There is a modernized version of the Stalker reborn called "Anomalous Activities" which is about the same concept although it leans more into the FPS aspect instead of the "horror" aspect.
Bread always produces the most skibidi videos on youtube. I appreciate how much effort he put into this video. I was mewing the entire time, couldn't stop edging.
I'm just gonna throw my own game suggestion into the ring: Anomalous Activities. The best way to describe is that it is essentially a complete overhaul/remake of the stalker and/or the hidden: source. though the community is small and the game is really, really sweaty, so it'll take a long time to accomplish anything as a new player, but if you can move past that, it is a great game. it also has a spin off game called contact a-888 being a co-op style horde shooter.
Most seem to enjoy a888 better than AA because of it's less competitive nature but I myself enjoy both. Seeing as I was there during the Beta and now that the game is completed (besides a final end of service patch coming for the game later this year) I've enjoyed my time with it
wow! you just sent me back 6 years ago in middle school where I would stay afterschool in the computer rooms playing incursion haha. time really goes by fast, I hope they sell off the game honestly
played incursion back then, AND had the honor to play it on the early beginnings of this year. i found out multiple ways that i can describe the game as in being a lot more advanced than at first glance. you'd think it's pretty simple: brood aliens, swarm aliens, humans, guess who's who, but it's the little gimmicks that made it so much better, as the more i replayed the game, the MORE i found methods to increase my survivability, for example, when a player is infected, they leave their human body and become themselves again, as a brood, this means if you find their body and the names match, you don't even have to wait for the alien to reveal themselves, you can just kill them right away and they won't even know how you knew they were a brood, and you should replace your crowbar with a fire axe, as it will help you both stop the alien's methods of getting easy kills (the fire axe is stupidly powerful) and when you forget to load your guns, they don't reload off-handed as that would leave the aliens no open windows to break you up, the game is INCREDIBLY balanced and strategic, and it's good to note that you aren't winning the elevator clutch unless there's only one human left alive, so stop doing that please, you're supposed to be an active brood, so that cheap win method of waiting until the round ends doesn't work.
to be honest - horror is first kind of genre i played on roblox(it was slendytubbies multiplayer, which is currently deleted, but were created by zMadZeusZ, who also made The Horror Elevator(which is also deleted). and horror genre was most interesting to me, especially when it's Area 51. the horror that i really loved later(when got nicely adapted to Roblox) - was Camping series by SamsonXVI. i guess.
my main problem with the stalker reborn has always been that the direction your gun fires seems to be server-sided, leading to a lot of missed shots that shouldn't miss you can best observe this when clicking to fire and quickly whipping your cursor in one direction
Awwwww man, before there was Incursion, there was Morbus. Legit made by the same dude. So many memories of finding the generator room as an alien, switching down the lights, and causing chaos.
All of these games were great, but Don't Blink is incredibly underrated, and literally last week I was just about to play it and was praying it had a small niche community left. Anyways, thanks for mentioning it!
I loved Stalker Reborn so much that it full on inspired my writing. Despite being basically the Combine without the Combine part, you never felt so powerful that the monster was just a joke (mostly because competent teammates are not found in actual children) but never so weak that it was like a minecraft dweller mod where people unironically believe a one-shot kill monster is a great idea for minecraft. plus big gun man go shoot scary red man cool
Cant believe it has been a decade since the roblox horror craze, still remember playing stop it slenderman, stalker and sometimes area 51 games (lol) a lot back then, the front page was filled with horror games
I have a weird one of those games: psycho cats Its a game where theres a team of people and a team of cats, the cats can be "rabid" and attack players but threres also normal cats. You have to go around the map as a human and collect goofy pngs known as "freds". When you finish collecting all the freds the game told you, it for some reason starts playing dubstep and you have to collect like 400 more of them while on a time limit. I died during that and rage quit so i never found out what happens next. I think its one of the weridest games ive played. I think its supposed to be horror but i cant take it seriously
Does anybody remember a game called fright night? It was a game that was made around 2015 and it was basically a round based halloween themed pve game in which you and other players shoot monsters and collect candy to buy better weapons similar to something like zombie rush but with a much more fleshed out theme and multiple boss fights from what I remember. The only good video on youtube about it is on ethangamertvs channel and the game was really fun when you got better weapons. Its been discontinued for YEARS now and I hope theres other people who remember it. And thank you Breadian for making these videos. Even though I dont play roblox that much anymore your videos are always really nostalgic and every now and then you introduce me to a genuinely good horror game to check out. You are doing a great job of keeping the memory of these games alive.
Does anybody else remember the fame Hunted from around 2017-2018 ish where you had to hide on really dark maps from the hunter for around 2 minutes and then everyone receives shotguns to hunt the hunter.
I was probably most active in 2014, and Horror Games, were the only type of games I played, and if it ain't horror it was the edgier version of Twisted Murderer, Vampire Hunters.
I love Stalker:Reborn. When I was looking for the menu music, it introduced me to Black Mesa and many other VALVE titles. It holds a special place in my heart
Hearing you have to explain slenderman in a way that sounds like its directed towards lil babbies is wild to me and makes me feel a lot older than I really am, also I haven't played roblox in years but I remember a game where you were in Area 51 with slender man going around that was my shit as a kid
Yeah I forget how old I am. Had to explain what Slenderman and Weeping Angels were in order to give the audience an understanding of why these games were so popular back in the day. Also why I really didn’t want to make a video on Roblox Hunger Games experiences throughout the years.
@@Breadian I feel that, the video was great and you did a great job at explaining both slenderman and weeping angels, also just brought back some great locked away memories from my childhood so keep up the great work!
Talking about asymmetrical Horror Games, Archeximus did a pretty good job on the TS:R Styled game called Anomalous Activities that has another spinoff for the more action loving playerbase called Contact:A-888. Though The Stalker Reborn is still peak since 2016.
i remember being absolutely ADDICTED to the stalker reborn when i was really young, i have the memory of me playing it early in the morning on the family computer burned into my brain. sad to see the state that the game is in today
There's a great spiritual successor to Stalker which has it's own universe and ton of lore - called Anomalous Activities, tho there's only a bit of cosmetic progression and everything is unlocked from the start. I really enjoyed playing Incursion in highschool, had like 100k points, gotta check that sometime
I still play the stalker reborn from time to time. I wasn't actually there for the early days of roblox, but I remember looking through the badges on my brothers old account. The Stalker Reborn was the only one I saw with people that still played it, so I decided to check it out. I'd say that it holds up to this day.
The saddest thing is that I know almost all of these games and they were all awesome games but back then I was afraid to play them. Nowadays I don't get too afraid anymore, I could finally play them but most of them are either dead or broken haha. I did play stop it slender though and it was fun.
I miss the stalker so much bro. It was so good in my mind and I used to play it 24/7 and loved the hell out of it despite never being all that good at the game
Ah, Stop It, Slender! I remember leaving the game over and over until I was Slenderman, and having a near panic attack and almost breaking my dad’s computer when I got put in the round as a human and couldn’t reset. Good times!
I love the idea of getting into old roblox games where players used to be. and think how games went. i remember a few good games. but i can't name them due their name was forgotten in my brain. or putted in far far away box on ceiling of it. and breadian makes it. somehow interesting. I don't know how he manage to do that. but it seems like his voice attract people. like he doesn't joke that much either. but still manage to make me listen to him, only if we find out about his dark wodoboovibie llpin magic.
I used to play stop it slender, incursion and stalker reborn and man those games are fun. Sometimes I look at em in my favs and those player numbers just make me sad, especially incursion I LOVED that game
I used to love the Stalker so thank you for making this because I had to contend with Anomalous Activites for a while so now I enjoy life again. It's also way easier to play the anomaly as in the Stalker than AA.
I remember playing all these games (except deception infection, I was only introduced to it because of a random game night in some Roblox discord group). And I always had an idea for a game like deception infection except with a script-flip, where the majority is already infected and the survivors have to pretend that they're infected and slowly kill off the infected until they are able to gain back control.
I miss Darkness 2, have lots of memories playing that game and Stop it slender, also i have many good memories from an underrated slasher/creepypasta fighting game called ''Nightmare fighters'', sadly that game as of 2024 is dead. These were good times.
Man i remember Stalker, there was a round where the stalker tried to kill us but it got bodied by like 5 guys and a sentry, and then there was another round where we tried to fortify a room but it breach and kill everyone except me who survive with like 5% hp, those were the days
What really ruined the weeping angels for me is that they showed them moving. Like bruh, you took away the scariest part of their mythos, the fact they move while you don't see them. The fact no one knows what they look like when moving is a terrifying aspect that if never explored leaves a lot of ambiguity as to whether or not the stone is their true form, or whether it's something more disturbing.
Something I find funny about cruse ship tycoon is I talked to one of the developers one time and he said he hated working on the game because trying to make a moving tycoon thing with NPC’s and all that was a massive pain in the ass
I remember this one roblox game that you had to go around with electro magnetic signal detectors and anomalies would come up and try to kill you, It had a really awkward name so I eventually forgot it but the game will always have a place in my heart, anyone remember the name of it?
More platforms need to acknowledge asym horror as a subgenre. It's not even a tag on Steam for crying out loud, but it's hands down my favorite flavor of game
I remember in Incursion, as a human, you can jump onto the vents where the aliens spawn because the vent is low enough for you to reach, i used that to jump up there and spawnkill the aliens as a human
I fully intend to follow up The Stalker someday. The thing that ultimately got in the way for me was college, and I also wasn’t sure how to expand on the game with its existing design constraints. Incursion was one of those games that i genuinely had a good time playing and then struggling to remember.

exactly what happened to me lol
Anyone agree that horror games that let you shoot and kill the killer are the good horror games?
well, depends on how it's done
if it's easy then it sucks, but if it's supposed to be hard to accomplish, then that's when it's good
Yeah, these were so good.
I think we should call them survive and kill the killer games or something.
I love Resident Evil 4
i consider those more of a shooter than an horror game
no one seems to have mentioned Bump in the Night or Hunted, surprisingly
edit: nvm Bump in the Night is basically just Darkness 2 💀same creator as Stop It, Slender

The Stalker: Reborn is honestly my favorite in this era. I really was going to create ANOTHER rebirth but chose not to change what's already golden. Hopefully the STALKER's influence can be implemented into other games around Roblox more
You changed your username :( Whyy
Anomalous Activities is similar to Stalker (or so I'm told; I've never played Stalker). It's kinda dead but it's a fun lil game

It is also my favorite game of all time alongside stop it slender. it was actually terrifying and didn't need to use screamers or jumpscares just to be scary.
i havent watched the video yet but this could be done since stuff like bloxstrap, which allows you to force future lighting on
The Stalker and Stalker Reborn are awesome.
LOL BARRELLO???? Didn’t expect to see you outside of twitter, especially not in 2024
@@FungIsSquish Hi there Fung.
I have been playing incursion since it’s release, and I have NEVER forgotten about it. EVER.
@@Breadian they have a discord server and I talked to them around when this video released and they are letting me remake it.
Who remembers Monstrum?
It got remade (with far less content as it hasn't passed the beta stage) but unfortunately by the time it got released it was too late as the player count was already gone so it ended up also getting discontinued (you can find said game through the group page of the old Monstrum game, I don't advise to search for it because for some reason it wouldn't appear)
Also the Stalker:Reborn is actually broken if you know what can be done, a map (Sandstorm) got removed because there was a spot where you could get out of bonds that not many people knew about
I had to look the name up to see cause theres another game unrelated to roblox called monstrum too but when I did the memories came FLOODING back. That game was so much fun and I even remember Roblox did an official review of that game. I really miss those.
Yooo I commented the same thing. Monstrum was peak especially the beginning of the round where you’d get that ominous countdown
Summarize Monstrum. I never heard of that game.
i remember playing it and then just having it disappear one day. it was peak
(aka cops n robbers), the ghost in the sewers used to make my blood run so cold whenever I encountered it💀 shit haunted my nightmares

as someone who's played ftf very avidly for a long time, im also really disappointed how quickly the game devolved into nothing but skin and map updates lmao
they never finished the base game and I don't understand no one on the dev team has taken it into their own hands cause it isn't that hard to script in the rest of the beast perks for crying out loud
@@baskingblaze Ah, I see another fellow avid player of ftf who's also disappointed by the new "updates". Our battle will be legendary!
What I love was before the dawn” before it’s update and vampire hunters II
Dawg in that first part where you talked about weeping angels was such a throwback. Me and my siblings used to be big "whovians" and I remember weeping angels legitimately scared me. But yeah, as the show dragged on they ruined them, and then somewhere around 2015 we gave up on the show altogether, and now its a hollow husk of its former glory :(
When you were talking about deception infection and how everyone had a role to play kinda reminded me of Traitor Town/Gmod TTT.
TRUEEEEE
that game was fire
traitor town was absolutely hype, even if 7 year old me really didnt understand how to play it
I never grew up with many of those games but Before The Dawn Redux, that was such an amazing game and there was really nothing quite like it. it eventually got messed up, unbalanced, and overcomplicated with the developers just adding too much, and then they abandoned it. sad :c
I remember playing that game a ton, the later stuff really soured and killed the game which was worsened when the devs would leave it to rot. The worst part is that when I actually managed to find it after STN replaced it, people were abusing the meta-gears/killers that killed the game in the first place.
@@ratosthing8858people love their advantages!

i remember playing this one asymmetrical horror game back in 2013 and it was amazing. i can’t remember the name, but you’d have to do objectives around the map while an invisible monster tries to kill you. you had a camera with a battery that enabled you to see it, and you could use your flash to stun it for a few seconds. it was genuinely terrifying, but i can’t find it anymore:(
I know exactly the game you're thinking of but cannot remember it as well.

Seeing incursion was actually such a throwback, I remember it being one of earliest games on Roblox i enjoyed and actually came back for.
Anomalous activities is a really good recreation of the hidden:source (which is what darkness and stalker are inspired from and recreating)
THE STALKER MENTIONED WE WON
asymetrical horror games were and are my favorite type of games, even if some were almost the same i would play them for hours, now every now and then bc i dont play roblox a lot i go to anomalous activities and sometimes i go to incursion, dont blink, etc and wait in the lobby for some ppl to join (luckily it worked 3 times on incursion recently and it was so fun to play).
and, uhh idk.
btw i really liked that you talked abt this :) (and sorry for bad english, its my second language :v)
It’s ok I don’t mind :) I also liked anomalous activities, was pretty nice
Any plans on making a video for it? :D

anomalous activities is a masterclass of a roblox port, not only did they accurately replicate the hidden, they improved upon it.
I remember loving Incursion as a kid. I'd love to see it come back
babe wake up, a new breadian video dropped
I miss stop it slender. I stopped playing when every slenderman started exploiting a glitch that let you appear right in front of the survivors, but I still miss it.
I loved incursion back then, it was so good and I played it every day. I checked it a few months ago and was sad to see it dead, but me and my friends managed to revive a server by just playing it and eventually a whole other group of people joined
You should make a video about minus elevation, its a horror game roguelike where you buy items and then go into an elevator with many monsters and secrets, or blox cards that is an card game (obiously) with many references to games and users, such as deception infection or stickmaster luke, i think you would enjoy them
Minus Elevation mentioned that game is PEAK
It's difficult but fun at the same time, the only thing that's kinda boring is trying to complete the bestiary because of rare entities but other than that it's one of my favorite games
Eh as a minus decent player minus elevation disappointed me you didn’t have to manage power or close the door on the monitor or get the monster to another section of the map all you do in minus elevation is run around get the buttons and run back to the elevator kinda disappointed me Ngl.
Incursion was one of the best games I had ever played, I'm so sad that it kinda died
Holy shit I remember playing don’t blink in class with my friends back in 2016; the game straight up doesn’t work anymore you’re stuck in the lobby
The stalker can be unnerving to hear with his voice taunting you and showing just how powerless you are.
Oh my God dude this is such a nostalgia trip, love it!
I actually love these type of games whenever I'm bored I usually check "the stalker" to see if there's some people playing and when there is I usually join
I played “The Stalker” recently and it was pretty good, just a little bit repetitive
Liked it ye

I LOVE INCURSION SO MUCH!! I've been trying to find the name after searching for such a long time and i finally found it! That game was peak :P
God, I loved Deception Infection and I hated seeing it die down
I'm just gonna throw my own game suggestion into the ring: Anomalous Activities.
Seeing as I was there during the Beta and now that the game is completed (besides a final end of service patch coming for the game later this year) I've enjoyed my time with it
I think I used to play a game called survive the night/ survive the killer something like that. Amazing game that now also has singleplayer..
the r6 black guy is so popular hes made an appearence in a story game
wow! you just sent me back 6 years ago in middle school where I would stay afterschool in the computer rooms playing incursion haha. time really goes by fast, I hope they sell off the game honestly
played incursion back then, AND had the honor to play it on the early beginnings of this year. i found out multiple ways that i can describe the game as in being a lot more advanced than at first glance. you'd think it's pretty simple: brood aliens, swarm aliens, humans, guess who's who, but it's the little gimmicks that made it so much better, as the more i replayed the game, the MORE i found methods to increase my survivability, for example, when a player is infected, they leave their human body and become themselves again, as a brood, this means if you find their body and the names match, you don't even have to wait for the alien to reveal themselves, you can just kill them right away and they won't even know how you knew they were a brood, and you should replace your crowbar with a fire axe, as it will help you both stop the alien's methods of getting easy kills (the fire axe is stupidly powerful) and when you forget to load your guns, they don't reload off-handed as that would leave the aliens no open windows to break you up, the game is INCREDIBLY balanced and strategic, and it's good to note that you aren't winning the elevator clutch unless there's only one human left alive, so stop doing that please, you're supposed to be an active brood, so that cheap win method of waiting until the round ends doesn't work.
to be honest - horror is first kind of genre i played on roblox(it was slendytubbies multiplayer, which is currently deleted, but were created by zMadZeusZ, who also made The Horror Elevator(which is also deleted). and horror genre was most interesting to me, especially when it's Area 51. the horror that i really loved later(when got nicely adapted to Roblox) - was Camping series by SamsonXVI.
i guess.
Before the Dawn made by Rachjumper was also a great asymmetrical horror game back in 2016 on pair with The Stalker: Reborn
I loved Don't Blink. When the player count started decreasing, I still played it and hoped for updates that never came. Rip the sequel
Ikrrr. I loved his hunger games:catching fire game that he made too!
my main problem with the stalker reborn has always been that the direction your gun fires seems to be server-sided, leading to a lot of missed shots that shouldn't miss
you can best observe this when clicking to fire and quickly whipping your cursor in one direction
TRUE that ray gun is so goofy
I have a weird one of those games: psycho cats
Its a game where theres a team of people and a team of cats, the cats can be "rabid" and attack players but threres also normal cats.
Incursion was PEAK loved that game to death
I love don't blink smm!! thanks for reminding me of that very awesome game :D

i remember being absolutely ADDICTED to the stalker reborn when i was really young, i have the memory of me playing it early in the morning on the family computer burned into my brain. sad to see the state that the game is in today
Thanks for helping me remember incurison existed and making it have 50 active players so i could play again

I remember playing Incursion. Awesome game, shame it died because it still holds up, same with Stalker
I used to play stop it slender, incursion and stalker reborn and man those games are fun. Sometimes I look at em in my favs and those player numbers just make me sad, especially incursion I LOVED that game
I can feel the old bygone niche roblox games flowing through my veins...
I didn’t realize I basically only played peak games when I was younger, sad to see them decay with so much godamn potential
Are you still a UA-camr who makes videos on niche Roblox games?
Always will be.
Flee the Facility used to be my personality during its peak, and I still think about the game from times to times
Something I find funny about cruse ship tycoon is I talked to one of the developers one time and he said he hated working on the game because trying to make a moving tycoon thing with NPC’s and all that was a massive pain in the ass
Stalker Reborn was one of my favorite games back in the day, really wish the devs would remake it today so it got more players
I remember this one roblox game that you had to go around with electro magnetic signal detectors and anomalies would come up and try to kill you, It had a really awkward name so I eventually forgot it but the game will always have a place in my heart, anyone remember the name of it?
Red44 satyr44 I thinn
@@Breadian Oh my God I love you
we're making a horror game calles "VHS 1970" if you want
I felt like incrusion was HEAVILY underrated. If it had more players, I’d play the hell out of it again
I loved incursion so much 😭😭😭 it was so sad seeing it having zero players
It has players now after this video!11 idk for how long tho 😩😭
