How to build a dry sump tank with

I'm building a Dry Sump Oil tank for a No Prep Mustang being built.
I used .063 5052 Aluminum and made the sides slip into the tank so it creates a lap weld style weld joint vs a corner weld. It does take more work to do it this way though. I just feel it makes the corner more rigid.
