It was great to see the St. Louis Cardinals in England last year. I'll forgive you for the first game as watching the team live was a lifelong dream come true. I grew up in England in the 80s listening to games broadcast by American Forces Radio 🇺🇸. It was a challenge to keep those old radios tuned in! 😂
And then they screwed it up when the narrator says the "Cards beat the Yankees 3 games to 2" in the 64 Series, when every serious Cards fan knows it was a 7 game Series, 4 games to 3!!
I just watched this episode on TV. The guy who narrates the Clete Boyer segment about his Grand Salami in G4 of the 64 World Series vs the Yankees says: "The Cards went on to win the Series 3 games to 2."!!!! 12:55 You've got to be kidding!! Brett somebody, blonde hair. What a major Brain Fart! The World Series is 7 games and has been for decades if played to the max. Every serious Cards fan knows the Cards played a 7 game series winning 4 games to 3 not only in 1964, but also in 67 winning 4 to 3 vs Red Sox, and playing 7 but losing 4 to 3 in 68 vs Tigers. In fact, the Cards have been in a bunch of 7 game Series. 1982 vs Brewers, 1985 vs Royals, 1987 vs Twins. 2011 vs Rangers. All Classics. Geez, what sloppiness. It's bad enough that the Cards host for that segment screwed the pooch, but don't they employ any fact checkers or proof readers? If its a paying job, I'll take it. For Pete's sake! Embarrassing. Do better. This whole organization is teetering on a long run of mediocrity and underachievement now that the Pujols/Yadi/Waino Era is done. WOW.
And now the current FO and coaches are DESTROYING this franchise. Marmol couldn’t coach a little league team and Mozeliak was obviously coasting on the work of Lunhow. Fuck this team
