i have this tool (different brand, but same thing) and I absolutely cannot get it to work in any consistent way! how do you take it out after twisting it? I can't open it in that position because the hair is keeping it closed? this has product has been super disappointing for me. looked at so many yt tutorials, each have different recommendations of how to use it, but I can't get any to work.

Same problem here. But it's my first curler so I guess part of the problem is me. And it keeps pulling my hair off.
My problem with it is that you can’t have any product in your hair. I use leave in conditioner and some other products.
