It wouldn't matter, immediately after that the snakes go after someone else. Everybody is in combat, they probably cast shields and whatnot... For as long as the tank was doing nothing they were all going to die
I think the only thing i would change about the SoDcore challenge is allow quest rewards from dungeon quests only, since you already have to do the dungeon to complete. Just a thought

For those of us that are real OG's to MMO's I remember dying in a raid as a cleric in EQ because someone picked up the phone and my dial up internet got cut off. Wasn't bad enough I got disconnected, it led to an eventual wipe. 😔
Guzu`s death gave me vietnam flashbacks, i was playing druid on darkshore, was like lvl 16 and was doing good, suddenly a random green mob started hitting me and then puff, the internet company decided to made maintenance to the lines, when i came back i was already dead, and that was my last day of my sub for some months
That ZF clip they pulled with the hunter pet according to comms... apparently the tank was supposed to pick up aggro after that and instead he just let the raid get nuked. Sounds like either the raid leader didn't explain it well or the tank just INTed his teammates
Something like this happened to me in vanilla when i was really new to the game. A hunter had a pet which was a quest mob in the troll starting area on one of the islands and he hid. I attacked the pet and he started wailing on me from his hidden spot. I wasnt even mad.
They laked dmg. You dont want more then 2 healers and a "Boomkind" with wild growth healing to support the healers at best. Cant affort to use to many healers.

Need more warriors and hunters in that hardcore BFD group. Kelli’s p2 is a dps race with insane damage going out. Bringing 3 priests, a mage, and a prot warrior means they don’t have the dps to burn him.
Rogue is better than Warr with low gear
They should have had the hunter pets tank Kelris lol. They have resists to everything and increased hp/armor. I tank him with my pet and holds threat just fine. They are using humonculi so they don't need the prot warrior. Just have everyone DPS and have 3 hunter pets tank.
I feel bad for the last guy, something similar happened to me. My dog came up to me to say hi, he gets tangled in my monitor's coords, starts flipping shit, sends my monitor straight to the shadow realm (floor).
After that, I became obsessed with flawless cable management to ensure no more monitors would be flung by my dog. 😂

you only kick the chains on that fight... and on last phase he cannot be kicked at all. also they only have 1 shaman and 1 mage to kick and the mage kick is 30 sec cooldown. For many reasons they should have brought a rogue here :D

@@Xinergy Yea i missed that the warrior obviously can kick because he has a shield, was playing with dps warriors too much.
What i am talking about is that i only see two Shadowy Chains unkicked in the very beginning (which is arguably bad, with 3 kickers you should get all of them). You don't kick the mind blasts on this fight, they are not a problem at all, so i do not get your 19x cast argument. I don't really defend em, you are right this was not handled well, but this 19 spells in a row thing is nonsense.
Been saying since Rav posted the challenge that it was too hard... and you need those quest rewards. A number of runes are quest rewards... remember the rep grind boxes, those are a quest.

@@TheMorninGlory23 i got turned off real early on. My buddy convinced me to come into a cave for a couple quests. Hyper spawns, and him roaching out got me killed on my 16 rogue. Then on my 12 mage, I go AFK for literally less than a minute and a half. (My fault for not logging out, but still...) and the hyperspawns got me killed, the fucking mobs I just killed were back in about a minute.
It's just bullshit. If the hyperspawns were fixed I'd consider trying hardcore again.

7:18 no it's not too hard, just yet again you guys aren't adapting. They have 3 priests, a boomkin, and a mage. That is just 100% trolling. Bring 5+ Hunters and you will clear BFD easy even with the rule restrictions of SoDcore.

They did nothing perfect. The comp is they ran is actually very mid if not atrocious. No feral (you dont need as much gear if you have WF), who also is a great OT out of the gate. This frees up the war to go dps, as the shammy has an easy time tanking in SoD. This also solves the addons issue on akumai. Shammy is perfect for that while the bear solo tanks/cleanses. Banking on 3 hunters having decent DPS without gear might seem like a good idea but if you also take 3 priests to overkill the healing, you know you're in for a bad time on MOST bosses because time is money friend, or in this case: HP. I didn't watch their raid any further than shown in this video, but the most important thing on Kelris and Akumai is that you plan who you send down on kelris, and great communication between tanks on akumai. These guys are probably very good but I doubt they intended for 2 hunters to get sent down, followed by two priests. I'm pretty sure they even intended to dps kelris to second phase before those priests got sent down. So yeah, banking on the hunters is what wiped/killed them. Imo.

You could skip last 2 bosses till you get more gear instead of trying it and dying. Also, world buffs feel like a cheat, since they are not dropped by other hardcore groups
That's not min-maxing at Kelris, the only "difficult" boss so far. They have NO KICKS and they can't bait the mind blast in phase 2 with paladins, since they're horde. That would have been min-maxing. 3 paladins in your group and Kelris does no damage in phase 2.
You can do well all you want in phase 1, but it doesn't matter at all if you don't understand how mind blast works, especially in phase 2.
Edit: 3 priest and not a single Homunculi. That's a whopping 50dps+ for every melee. That's not how you prepare to do Kelris, people don't know mechanics or even new class spells

its not a hard fight...hunters and rogues do great damage. main thing is to stay out of the purple...they actually needed more melee. 2 people get sent to sleep, and its not the same 2. so their range got sent to the other side, and they lost a lot of dmg.
The biggest mistake of that Kelris kill is having a 3rd priest.

Yeah 100%. Priests are so busted two would have been plenty if it died faster. Turn the boomkin into a feral, and add a rogue or two

How could you not believe it? It makes perfect sense every time, the guy is an alliance mage player, before HC started he never gave a single shit about PvE whatsoever, and someone in his chat told him to jump off the Zeppelin to get to STV. So rather than spending the time to search on google, maybe watch a video on how it's done, he just listens to his (clueless) chat and jumps. You could even see the other player in the water who I'm assuming he was following, he just did it totally blind and died for it.

why they went with 3 healers, with 2 healers and one more dps this boss is quite easy without any external buffs. They would have easily beat it if last phase wouldnt be up for so long.

It's hard because the fun of it is challenging yourself with trash gear and difficult encounters, not just killing green mobs 1 by 1 until you're 25.
a lot of streamers haven't played ssf hardcore before and they are used to being overpowered by handouts. even then with all the handouts they die a lot.
Yes, I do think you made Sodcore too hard. SOD already compensated for the runes; enemies do a LOT more damage. You really didn't need to compensate for it again with the extra rule.
You should only use quest gear from level 25 quests. like the quests say level 25 or up

I do 140 dps on my mage on kelris what is this mage doing?
Really need to use quest items to allow you to compete in the raids. It will make the dungeons trivial but in the end it’s about seeing 10 streamers come together and downing the content. You aren’t downing this content without it imo.
No they don't need quest items they just need to not waste there limited 10 raid slots on 3 priests, a boomkin, and a mage. 1-2 Priests are fine for healing the rest is just bloat that is doing nothing. Change them out with Hunters, Warriors, or Rogues and they would've been fine.
You'll probably need to allow quest items and trading for enchants at the very least.

We only ever had 1 death on kelris...since it launched....and i mean 1 person in our raid died. Since the first run we havent wiped or anyone die since then...how is this so hard for people?

theyre playing hardcore and theyre not allowed to use any quest gear or use the AH or anything so theyre literally all in green/grey items
