@@finh3052 well then ur comment makes no sense in response to mine bc Romeo & Juliet is in no way romantic. That's why skam France did this scene better imo
The first kiss was incredible. I love how they made it completely unique to Lucas and Eliott while still keeping the element of water there. I also love how it was a recreation of the kiss from Eliott's movie-project, especially since the story in Eliott's movie is matching up so well to Lucas and Eliott. Everything in this season just ties together so beautifully.
I think what you will find is that this first kiss scene AND many others in this season, the piano and others to come rival ANY love story yet created. I feel it is on par to or even better than Call me by Your Name...and I never thought I would say that. I know that is a bold statement...but I think you will see and agree. There is just something about this couple...compared to others gay or straight...that just falls into that elusive category of a "love story for the ages." Aside from the story, I think its the fact that Axel and Maxence did not "act" the characters...they truly created "alter egos." They gave everything they had to this timeless tale of soulmates destined to be together. I am sure it has changed them forever.
That is such a great comment. I know people like to compare scenes from all the different versions of SKAM. Yes, the story line is based on the OG, but the writer's here have taken that story line to a new level. Axel and Maxence's performances are off the charts. Axel's acting just blows my mind. The scenes of them together feel like an old classic love story; I totally forget that they are supposed to be high school students. SKAM France Season 3 was the very first experience I had with anything SKAM. The other versions of this story line are good, but but don't seem seem to be missing something to me (even OG). The closest version to the SKAM France story line for me is Robbe and Sander in wtFock. A very different take on the story line, but it touches me very strongly, too.
I agree, whenever you see gay characters in american films and series it feels forced and here despite the actors being straight they both acted very convincingly. I guess that's something most Skam remakes have had. The belgium version also has a very good chemistry between their actors. Then be prepared for Ete 85. The scenes of Alexis and David are quite beautiful despite the ending. Hope it can be released soon in the U.S.
@Ana Murray...its true..and if you notice when they kissing, you can finding the way lucas and eliot doing with feeling and compare to the other remake.maybe i realize just because im a gay ...lol
@@Why-69-y1v It comes across as if Axel and Maxence actually fell in love with each other during the filming. I'm not trying to start some rumour, because I know they are both straight, but the feeling that goes into their kissing and intimate scenes is some of the most genuine chemistry I have ever seen.
I don't know if you noticed, but they perfectly recreated Eliott's movie, with the rain and the hands, the tunnel and everything ♥ It just makes it even more perfect.
The story of Polaris perfectly fits Eliott and Lucas with Eliott being the guy and Lucas the creature. The creature's gender doesn’t matter as Elliot is pansexual and the guy in the story is afraid of the darkness bc Elliot is afraid of the darkness in his own mind as he is bipolar. In Latin, Lucas means light so Lucas is Elliot’s light. Lucas is the creature as he’s afraid of coming into the light which also relates to his fear of coming out.
The way Elliott plays with Lucas in the cave with the flashlight.... the moment he aporoaches Lucas and Lucas' lips part in anticipation of the kiss and even knowing what was going to happen...the SONG!!! I was basically screaming at Elliott "Kiss him, hug him, screw him, fondle him, but do SOMETHING!!!". I flung myself inside the freezer afterwards 🥵🔥
I really love your reactions. That kiss scene is just so amazing. I love the way they changed it up. At the beginning of that scene, Eliot is standing in the rain, but Lucas isn't getting wet, as if they are in two different worlds, like the characters of Polaris. Lucas holding out his hands like the creature in Polaris and crossing into Eliot's world in the rain to kiss Eliot. The writing here is incredible the way they linked all of that together. To me, the meaning behind how that scene connects with Polaris is so much more intense than just kissing in a pool (not that the OG kiss scene was bad at all).
By far the best Isak and Even characters' first kiss scene. Unmatched as far as this scene goes in all versions; it will be interesting to how it compares to what happens in Episode 7 for you.
I've only discovered SKAM few weeks ago and as I was just about to start on SKAM FR (after I watched OG and some of WTfock), I've bumped into one of the reaction videos of ep 3 where the guy was saying 'who needs a pool scene anymore!' 😆 So I was really intrigued and couldn't wait to get to this episode and...OMG! 😍 I think what he said really describes what most of us feel, like everybody loved the OG first kiss scene but this...this is so different yet SOOO GOOOOD!!! 😍😁 Really like your reaction videos! 😁
This will forever be the most romantic thing bc Lucas recreates Polaris (Elliot's Film) with/FOR Elliot 😩😩
But the kiss scene in skam og too recreates romeo + juliet which isak watched before because even mentioned the director's name
@@ehthatmygoat17 i'm not comparing tho

@@ehthatmygoat17 i just wanted to mention just incase someone missed that.
If you go back and watch Elliot's film project, you'll see that his film is exactly how their first kiss happened!
Exactly. In Elliot's art, the being on the dark side reaches out his hands to the being in the light. Lucas holds his hands out in the same exact way.

that scene is a CULTURAL RESET.
Unmatched he said. Wait... just wait. There are more ICONIC AND UNBEATABLE moments are coming.

France remake in my opinion beats other remakes and even the original one. When it comes to season 3. Perfection.
A hundred percent agree..better than the original...sorry to say that.. especially lucas acting is perfectly

This and the wtfock one were both incredible! Y’all can bash me but i think the wtfock one is my all time favorite one....the song during it!!!
The France and wtfock water scenes are both fantastic. Hard to decide between them.
Same 100%
You're right about Wildfire, it makes the kiss scene more emotional. I prefer skam fr s3 over wtfock s3 but the songs are amazing.
The rain scene is amazingly beautiful
I love rewatching this season of Skam France with your reactions :)
